00:00This is a traditional Scottish hat called the See You Jimmy hat.
00:03Admittedly, I don't need the wig at the back yet.
00:05This is the bathroom where you're only allowed to pee,
00:08which I'm pretty sure loads of people have told you that before.
00:42Welcome. Come on in.
00:44Come on in, dude.
00:46How's it going? I'm Scott.
00:47I'm Ali.
00:48And we are Bleed From Within.
00:50And we are on our very first ever North American Headline Tour right now.
00:54Yes, we are.
00:55And this is our bus.
00:56It's our first ever tour bus over here.
00:57We've had tour buses back in Europe and UK,
00:59but this is our first ever US tour bus.
01:02It's been bandwagon up to this point.
01:03And if you know what a bandwagon is,
01:05this is a considerable upgrade.
01:08But thanks to bandwagon.
01:11Cheers, guys.
01:12This is the main lounge.
01:14This is where everyone kind of hangs out.
01:15We've got a couple of TVs in here.
01:17I don't really watch TV though.
01:20The bus is at full capacity.
01:22There is 14 beds and there is 14 people on this bus
01:25because we're sharing a bus with Silosis,
01:28which is Ali's other band,
01:29and a full crew.
01:30So when everyone's on this bus,
01:32it's not quiet enough to watch TV, to be honest.
01:35Yeah, when everyone wakes up,
01:36this area that you're in right now,
01:38it's packed.
01:39And usually everyone's kind of standing
01:41and there's people sitting and all that.
01:42So on the days off, we have day rooms.
01:45We usually get hotels and stuff.
01:46And then when we arrive at venues,
01:48people are very quick to get into the venue
01:50and claim a desk space or a space to work or whatever.
01:54It's kind of just a place to sleep, to be honest.
01:56I mean, we do hang out in here,
01:57like, sit and catch up,
01:59have a coffee in the morning.
02:00But I would say it's just a place to sleep
02:02because of how many people are in here,
02:04to be honest.
02:04Yeah.
02:05Pretty boring, but...
02:06We haven't used the TVs too much.
02:08We haven't used games too much.
02:09The plan was to, like,
02:12on days off,
02:12to order in pizza
02:13and all hang out in here and watch movies and stuff.
02:16But the tours were right at the start of the tour,
02:19you know,
02:19and we've just not had a chance to do it yet.
02:21We definitely use these tables
02:22because we've got Tom, our content guy, on tour with us.
02:26Me and...
02:26This is usually his station.
02:28This is usually his station.
02:29And me and David, our bass player,
02:31and Craig, our guitarist,
02:32we also create video content.
02:34So we're, like, constantly on our laptops on tour.
02:36So these come in handy.
02:38And the fact that we have three, actually,
02:39we have one at the back,
02:40but that's sort of just like a dumping ground
02:42for everyone's bags.
02:43So it's hard to use it.
02:44Yeah, the bag is chaos back there.
02:45You'll see it.
02:45And you'll smell it as you go through as well.
02:47But, yeah, I've taken this one over here.
02:50You can see here the can of Iron Brew.
02:52Scotland's national beverage.
02:54This is a shout out to Iron Brew.
02:55By the way, give us some free fucking cans, right?
02:58It's not for lack of trying.
03:01But, yeah, I've stationed up here for a few days.
03:03Just been typing out some harshly worded emails.
03:06You know what I mean?
03:08And then we've got Jimmy hats as well.
03:10Yeah, we're doing VIP on this tour.
03:13And it's the first time we've ever done that.
03:14So we're trying to think of ways.
03:16It feels weird.
03:17People paying more money to meet us.
03:18That just doesn't...
03:19It feels weird.
03:20So we've tried to come up with, like, fun stuff for the VIP.
03:23And this is a traditional Scottish hat called the See You Jimmy hat.
03:27Admittedly, I don't need the wig at the back yet.
03:30But...
03:32It's the dumbest looking wig in the office.
03:35These have been going down a treat though.
03:37Get your VIPs.
03:39Get one of these.
03:40This is the most important thing on the bus.
03:42The coffee machine.
03:43He's pointing at the bottle of wine.
03:44Yes, the bottle of red wine.
03:47Yeah, coffee machine is the most important thing here.
03:49Because when everyone gets up in the morning,
03:50everyone's like...
03:53Everyone's like a zombie until they have their coffee.
03:55Apart from me.
03:56I'm the only person that I've ever met that doesn't drink coffee
03:59or doesn't need it in the morning.
04:00But I see all these guys,
04:01and like Kennedy says,
04:02they all come up and they come through here like this.
04:04Coffee.
04:05And then they push some buttons over here
04:07and then they drink whatever comes out
04:08and then they're all like,
04:08alright man, how's it going?
04:10Fun fact, Ally does not like hot drinks.
04:12Which is really bizarre.
04:13That's a nice general.
04:14I love cold drinks though.
04:15Which, if you look in this fridge here...
04:19We've got a...
04:19This is, I mean, this is the...
04:22the proper baby fridge, isn't it?
04:23This is the beer fridge, but...
04:25Once again, some more Iron Brew.
04:27Shout out to our friend Jacob,
04:28who dropped this stuff off to us.
04:29This is actually, yeah,
04:31US cans of Iron Brew.
04:33We've got a bunch of beer in here.
04:34We've got some twisted tea.
04:36You don't get this back in the UK,
04:37but this is like alcoholic iced tea.
04:40Packed full of sugar and absolutely terrible for you,
04:42but very tasty.
04:44But there's a whole load of non-alcoholic beers in here
04:47because we're being very sensible in this run.
04:48When we started sort of headlining for this album campaign,
04:51we kind of...
04:52I wouldn't say we were mad partiers before.
04:56Nah, just like a beer.
04:58We just enjoy a beer,
04:59but I think since September last year,
05:02we...
05:02It's just playing long sets,
05:0475 minutes, 80 minutes every night.
05:05It's kind of the longest we've ever done in our career,
05:08and...
05:08We're no spring chickens anymore, so...
05:10No, but it's...
05:12You definitely need to look after yourself
05:14when you're playing a set this long for this length of a tour.
05:17You know, an hour and 20 minutes for five weeks is tough.
05:21It's pretty hard going.
05:21So, I mean, that's the non-alcoholic stuff in there.
05:24Me and our bass player, Davey,
05:25we always make like overnight oats,
05:27so this is like a bag of fresh fruit.
05:29And here we've got a bunch of protein powder and stuff.
05:32We have creatine.
05:34I've got...
05:35These things are absolutely fucking amazing.
05:36I want to shout out Nick Hipper from the band Myer,
05:40ex-Azley Dying as well.
05:41He's a really good friend of ours.
05:42And he actually bought out some of these
05:44when I was touring here last year,
05:46the year before.
05:47They are just...
05:48Unreal.
05:49Normally protein cereal is really shitty,
05:51but these things taste amazing.
05:53And you have them with like some protein milkshakes.
05:56It's absolutely packed,
05:57so cheers, Nick.
05:58You know what I mean?
06:00I got some new snacks I'm stoked on.
06:03Exactly how it sounds.
06:05What we got in here?
06:06What's this one?
06:07Some more cereal.
06:09Some Biscoff.
06:10This is a Goonsy Gowns special.
06:12Yes.
06:12A cup of tea and a biscuit.
06:15Man actually loves it.
06:15The guitarist loves just sitting with a cup of tea at night and a biscuit.
06:20This is our tubs for the overnight oats.
06:22Some more protein bars.
06:24Cutlery.
06:25I don't even know what's in here.
06:26Cleaning products.
06:27Cleaning stuff.
06:27Really boring.
06:28What's in the big fridge?
06:29Anything in the freezer?
06:31Frozen berries.
06:32We got ice pops.
06:36What have we got in here?
06:37Is this the right?
06:41This is much of the same.
06:44It's kind of hard to keep a bus clean and organised with 14 people.
06:49Because you will put something down or you'll tidy something and someone will just walk up and just move it.
06:54It's chaos.
06:55This is actually pretty nice.
06:57We've got the Haritos out on the side.
06:59We absolutely love this stuff.
07:00Again, you don't really get it in the UK.
07:01Some places sell it, but we love it over here.
07:05But again, this is just classic America.
07:07Do a sugar free version, please.
07:10Aye.
07:10It's insane.
07:12This is 140 calories and 35 grams of sugar.
07:16That's wild.
07:17It's mental.
07:19Haritos, if you watch this, sugar free version, please.
07:23Sugar free version, please.
07:24That'd be great.
07:24We're big Mexican food guys.
07:26We love going out and finding good Mexican food spots.
07:30So you need to have one of them with it.
07:32But it's just so much sugar.
07:34It fucks us up.
07:35Ali loves it.
07:35Ali, on our last US tour we did, Ali, I actually think he succeeded.
07:41He had a goal of eating tacos every single day of the tour and I'm pretty sure you've done it.
07:44Did you not?
07:45I had a rule.
07:46If I had to walk further than 10 minutes, I wouldn't have tacos.
07:50I managed it 14 days in a row.
07:53And by the time it got to the end of the 14 days, everyone kind of knew I was doing
07:56this thing.
07:56And I would open up Google Maps and just be like,
08:00What is it?
08:01Oh fuck, it's nine minutes.
08:02How do you go?
08:03Yep.
08:03And then on one day it was 11 minutes and I was like, yes.
08:06So I went and got fucking pizza or a burger or something.
08:08This is the bathroom where you're only allowed to pee, which I'm pretty sure loads of people have told you
08:13that before.
08:14But yes, you're only allowed to pee.
08:15If you don't know, it says it on the toilet pan seat.
08:18Only pee, no pepper, no poop.
08:22This is the mirror where you fix your hair in the morning.
08:24I mean, look at this.
08:28Cool.
08:28Do bunks.
08:30This is where everyone sleeps.
08:33Nice to see you.
08:37Reading the Mark Hoppus book.
08:40I'm only like four chapters in because every time I start reading it I get too tired and fall asleep.
08:45I'm trying to stay off my phone at night because it just keeps you up longer.
08:48I was going to say he's only four pages in because he can't read but.
08:52Kind of true as well.
08:54I'm glad there's no smell of vision right now because this part of the bus gets.
08:57Stinking.
08:58Gets pretty funky, especially as we get further back.
09:01Mine's is the middle bunk and this is prime real estate right here.
09:04This is, I can't go in the top bunk because I'm like, I toss and turn in my sleep.
09:08So if I roll right out of there, I'm done.
09:11He's a goner.
09:11I'm a goner.
09:12So, yeah.
09:13Bottom bunk.
09:15Probably the worst.
09:16I don't know.
09:17Something nice about the bottom because you're kind of tucked away down there.
09:21But you're constantly near people's feet.
09:23That's a good point.
09:24When you're eye level though, I don't feel like you get as much, it doesn't feel like you've got as
09:28much secrecy.
09:29I don't know.
09:29I'm tucked away on the back in this one.
09:31It's a little bit different.
09:32If you have to get up in the night to go to the bathroom and you come back and it's
09:35like four in the morning and you're having to climb.
09:36Not good because I'll wake you up.
09:39That's true.
09:39That's very true.
09:39This is a little bunk.
09:41It's prime real estate.
09:44Yeah.
09:44Don't worry.
09:48We have the shoe rack here.
09:50Essential.
09:52What is not very nice though is when this door closes, I'm back here with our tour manager.
09:58This begins to smell like some kind of cheese factory going on back here.
10:02Do you know what I mean?
10:04Not great, so if you just watch your doors coming past here, we'll take you into what would be a
10:10fully functioning back lounge normally.
10:12But in this bus, because we had to have 14 bunks because we're sharing with Sylosis, they've kind of converted
10:17this back lounge and we have these two bunks here.
10:20Now, admittedly, when I came back here and saw the size of these things, I requested that I have one
10:24of these because I'm doing double duty on this tour.
10:26I don't know if you know, but I play drums for Sylosis and Blade From Within.
10:29So, it is actually a really nice, spacious bunk.
10:32The only bad thing about being back here is you're directly above the engine, so it is quite loud when
10:37you get going.
10:38But, I think I've left them out here.
10:39I've never been back here.
10:40This is the first time I've hung out back here.
10:43Well, you can't move in here normally because this is where everybody puts their bags.
10:48So, when I come back here to get into bed, I normally have to jump from where Josh is standing
10:52right here and have to go diagonal into my bed.
10:54But, this is the secret to a good night's sleep for me.
10:57Eye mask, ear plugs, and then we have little nasal strips as well that we put on because we're getting
11:02old now.
11:03Is this you?
11:04No, I'm down there.
11:05Why does Zangie sleep with his head at this side?
11:08Because it's easy.
11:09Ah.
11:11I don't like that.
11:12Our tour manager's flipped it round so he can watch TV at night, which is pretty good.
11:15But if the driver slams his brakes on, Zangie's a goner.
11:19So, that's a rule worth noting.
11:21Feet in the direction that you're driving, typically safer.
11:25Zangie, he's rolling the dice with that one.
11:29I don't like that.
11:30I've just realised.
11:31I've just discovered this for the first time.
11:34I don't like that.
11:34I don't like it.
11:35Yeah, this is pretty much it.
11:37This is our home for the next, what, four weeks now?
11:40We have a long time left.
11:41Yeah.
11:43We're already desperate to go home.
11:44No, that's not true.
11:45No, that's not true.
11:46The shows have been absolutely amazing.
11:48As I said before, this is our very first ever North American tour.
11:51The shows have all been great.
11:53We'll say a massive thank you to our North American fans for coming out, supporting us
11:56and all the other bands on this bill.
11:58We have plans to come back here, so make sure you keep your eyes on our Instagram,
12:04bleepwithin.com, for tours coming up soon and we'll see you there.
12:08Cheers.
12:08Cheers.
