00:07they are yet to receive the monies owed to them.
00:10The affected workers are now calling on the party to address the matter,
00:15honour its financial commitments and provide a clear timeline for when the outstanding payments will be made.
00:21The situation has reportedly left many of the TPP workers frustrated,
00:27with some claiming they relied on the expected payments to meet personal and household expenses.
00:34They are urging the Tobago People's Party TPP, which now governs the island,
00:40to respond publicly and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
00:44When contacted on the matter, Chairman of the Tobago People's Party TPP, Ann Natasha Second,
00:51told the TV6 News, quote,
00:52All efforts are being made to ensure that everyone who was engaged by the party for the election receives payment.
01:01Some canvassers and office staff in some districts remain outstanding.
