00:00But we also thought for sure in the National League is that, you know, the Braves wouldn't make the splashy
00:08move, but they would make some moves that would, you know, what they felt is very well run organization, what
00:15they felt they needed here.
00:17They didn't do a whole lot to address, I guess, the starting pitch starting pitcher issues that they have had
00:24with injuries.
00:25But outside of what they have, I guess the Braves feel they have enough to make a move here.
00:31Yeah, the Braves, I don't know that the Braves necessarily did enough.
00:35And so there's, you know, Alex Anthop is really smart.
00:38I'm going to guess, Joe, that they just feel that their injured players are coming back.
00:44I don't, that's the only thing that I can kind of come up with here is they feel really good
00:48about Schwellenbach and some of these other pitchers and players coming back to help them.
00:54They didn't make as many moves as I thought that they would make, but the Lane Thomas move, I think,
00:58will help them a little bit.
01:00Their bullpen has already been great.
01:02There's really no reason to mess with that bullpen.
01:04And I think also from Atlanta's point of view, they're probably looking at the division and saying, you know what,
01:09we're better than Philadelphia.
01:10And we're better than the Marlins probably right now.
01:14They probably feel that they are.
01:16And they know it's a tournament.
01:17So they get into the tournament and then see what happens.
01:19And they really didn't have to give up a lot in this deadline, too.
01:22So I did think the Braves would do a little bit more, but I'm going to bet that they just
01:27think that they're good enough right now to win that division without having to tinker too much.
01:34Yeah, exactly.
01:35And the way they have been playing out of the Kuna is back and healthy again, fingers crossed.
01:42You know, if they never get, you know, Riley back to hitting would be fantastic.
01:46But, yes, they are ready to go into the final 50 games here.
01:52Now, that begs the question, did Philadelphia do enough?
01:56Do you like to move with Philly?
01:58Changes the defense.
02:00Louie, listen, he's not going to jack up 20 home runs between now and the playoffs, right?
02:05But he certainly will create some traffic on the base pass, won't he?
02:10I think that Philadelphia, Joe, is super dangerous because of the pitching that they have.
02:16They have amazing starting pitching that in a wildcard series or a five-game series, you could absolutely see them
02:23going far.
02:24The problem is, Joe, we've thought this now for three years in a row, and they've fallen flat.
02:28But the way that they're built with these little moves that they made, I personally didn't think that they had
02:35to do too much.
02:35I honestly think, Joe, they're in a slump.
02:38They're in a slump.
02:39Every team goes 4-11, you know?
02:42And I kind of think that's what happened.
02:44Again, I watched the games that they played against Miami.
02:46They should have won them.
02:47They didn't.
02:48You know, Duran, he doesn't blow saves.
02:50He blew a save.
02:51They were up 6-0.
02:51They lost the game.
02:52Then they lost the next game where they were up.
02:54They lost 6-4.
02:56I think there's a lot of panic in Philly.
02:58I think they're going to be okay.
02:59And I think that the ads that they make will get them to the postseason.
03:03I feel like coming out of that, coming out of today, I feel confident in saying, and again, I think
03:10the Cubs can collapse.
03:11They've collapsed before.
03:12But I think Chicago makes it.
03:14And I think Philadelphia makes it.
03:16And I think that last wild card now, I hope Miami stays in it.
03:19But if not, I think the last wild card comes down to San Diego and Arizona.
03:24And boy, if you're a Padres fan right now, you've got to feel pretty fired up now.
03:28You're getting to go see two really good pitchers that they didn't have 24 hours ago.
