00:00George, you know, I know who you love in football, and it's August 1st.
00:03Boy, I'm hearing a lot of barking over there in Cowboy camp.
00:07And I got to tell you, I want to hear the barking in February or January,
00:12not in July and August.
00:162026 Cowboys will be what?
00:20I'll tell you one thing.
00:21Dallas had better win their first two games, right?
00:24You got a couple of division games against the Giants and Commanders.
00:27And those are not givens, by the way.
00:29Those Giants and Commanders are both better teams.
00:31Are the Cowboys better than them?
00:34Probably, you know, but you better win those because after that,
00:37and you and I discussed this, Dan, you're in the schedule from hell, right?
00:40Baltimore, Houston, Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Philadelphia in that stretch.
00:45If you go one-on-one in those first two games, you can easily be what?
00:48Three and four?
00:49And we might, as a Cowboy fan, I might take three and four, by the way.
00:52You tell me right now Cowboys be three and four going into week eight against Arizona?
00:56I might take that because the schedule does get easier after that.
00:58But those first seven games, including the game in Brazil, by the way,
01:02against Baltimore, that's going to be rough there.
01:04I think the Cowboy offense we know is good, right?
01:07At least they're good in games that don't matter.
01:08We'll see what Dak does when the games do matter.
01:10But the offense should score points.
01:12I think the defense is better.
01:13Is it good enough?
01:14Well, that's the question, Dan.
01:16That's the question.
01:17And we really won't know until week one.
01:19Do you think that Dak Prescott is a modern-day Danny White when it comes to Cowboy history?
01:26Now, Danny White actually went to NFC Championship games and actually went to significant ball games.
01:33Right.
01:33I mean, maybe a little bit underrated when you're talking about Cowboy quarterbacks.
01:37How do you look at Dak and his history there with the team?
01:43I'm going to go to Danny White, who I am a huge fan of, okay?
01:46Danny White does not get the recognition he deserves.
01:48Listen, was he Roger?
01:50No.
01:50Is he Troy?
01:51No.
01:52It was a Hall of Famer.
01:52He was two of the best ever.
01:54But in my mind, he's the third-best Cowboy quarterback ever.
01:56Now, I only go back to Roger.
01:58I haven't seen Danny Dom play, so I can't answer that.
02:00But since I've been watching and I saw Roger, Danny, Troy,
02:04then everybody that came after before Troy and all that garbage that after Troy,
02:07he's the third-best quarterback.
02:08Yes, he didn't win the games against Philadelphia, Washington, San Francisco.
02:12All right, Philadelphia, Washington, they didn't have a chance against, right?
02:14They were better teams.
02:15Eagles and Redskins at that time were better teams on the road.
02:19I think they should have beaten the 49ers.
02:21Everyone says, you know, everyone's about the catch.
02:23They all forget the Cowboys were driving down after the catch.
02:26Drew Pearson got, what, the shoestring tackle, whatever it was here.
02:30He was gone, and the Cowboys still had the ball to 45 here.
02:33A center snap fumble exchange between Danny White and Rafferty,
02:37and that was the end of the game there.
02:39I was, Cowboys might kick that game-winning field goal.
02:40Yes, Dan, I might still be a little upset about this 35 years later.
02:44It was 45 years later.
02:46It might bother me a little bit.
02:48So, Dak, I mean, he doesn't win big games.
02:52The numbers will tell you that.
02:52I'm not just saying this because I'm angry.
02:54I mean, you look at his numbers against mediocre teams.
02:56They're Hall of Fame numbers.
02:58When it comes to playoffs or get big games outside of the NFC East,
03:01he does not play well.
03:02The numbers are horrific.
03:03I mean, they're bad, bad, bad.
03:04I keep going back to the last time they lost to Sanford's 49ers
03:08in the playoffs at home.
03:09And, you know, Randy Gregory had the ex-cout.
03:11We had the meeting after the game.
03:13He says, you all know why we lost.
03:15We all know why we lost.
03:17There's a reason he's no longer on our team after that
03:18because he was saying they lost because of Dak Prescott
03:20and how bad he played, and he did.
03:22We're a gambling network here at Sports Grid.
03:24I can tell you a story here.
03:25When they played Green Bay, I thought the Cowboys were going to beat Green Bay.
03:27I felt really good about Cowboys beating Green Bay here.
03:30I saw the first series from Dak and how he was aiming the ball.
03:34I emptied my account on Green Bay.
03:36Emptied my account on Green Bay.
03:37You can just see it.
03:38He was a deer in the headlights.
03:39He is not a pressure quarterback.
