00:23bringing Christian Parker over from Vic Fangio's defense in Philadelphia you're starting to see an
00:29offense on that side of the ball which could be the most potent offense in the NFL and he got

00:33pretty good play caller in Brian Schottenheimer are the Cowboys in a better place today than they were
00:38this time a year ago when they were thinking of dealing Micah Parsons I think they are and I think
00:44this was probably what they had in mind when they made the Micah Parsons trade there was no denying
00:49last season when they traded Parsons a week before the season it was obviously making the team worse
00:54you know that that defense was going to be bad everyone knew it it would have taken an unbelievable
01:00coaching job to make them even a league average unit but instead they ended up being quite bad
01:05they could not support what was a very good offense last year but the idea of trading Parsons was
01:10predicated on well if we allocate the money we were going to give to him to other places we can
01:16improve
01:16our defensive depth we can add depth to that defensive line we can get guys like Quinn and Williams we
01:21can go
01:22out and trade for Rashawn Gary we can pick up all these veterans to just improve our depth up front
01:26so do they have a star that's quite the caliber of Micah Parsons probably not but I think to your
01:32point
01:32their defense looks a lot deeper it looks a lot more complete and if Christian Parker can kind of coach
01:37them up the sky is the limit for this team because their offense is probably going to be a top
01:4210 unit
01:42provided that everyone stays healthy so if that defense can just get to that league average position
01:47they should be a potential contender and if they end up being better than that defensively
01:51then we're going to be talking about the Cowboys as a team that could maybe make a Super Bowl run
01:55which seems crazy to say but they're building in the right direction
