00:00Hello there, good evening.
00:02Overnight temperatures over the last few nights haven't dropped much past 20 degrees
00:06Celsius for some areas, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep, but tonight is set to be much
00:12cooler for many areas.
00:13We'll finish off the day with plenty of clear skies across much of England and Wales, perhaps
00:17the odd shower around the London area to finish off the day, though these eventually easing
00:22overnight.
00:23And many areas will remain dry but will become increasingly cloudier from the west, some
00:28of this cloud turning quite low and will make quite murky conditions by the time we reach
00:32the morning.
00:33And also thick enough to produce some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, certainly across coasts
00:37of Northern Ireland, Western Scotland and also across the far north of Scotland as well.
00:42But despite the cloud, temperatures will come down, still towns and cities holding up between
00:4712 to 15 degrees Celsius and still a touch warm across the very far south of England.
00:52But overall, it should certainly not be feeling quite as warm as the last few nights.
00:58Then Sunday itself looks like quite a cloudy picture, there will be some rain and drizzle
01:03on the cards, mostly across Scotland and some areas of Northern Ireland, perhaps the odd
01:08spot of rain elsewhere across England and Wales, but actually by the afternoon it looks like
01:12many areas will brighten up a fair amount, allowing for some bright if not sunny spells later
01:17on into the day.
01:19And temperatures are also starting to fall down as well, many areas returning to more towards
01:24average for this point in the year.
01:26But still fairly warm across some southern areas of England and Wales, we could still
01:30see highs of around 27 degrees Celsius and in the brighter weather with light winds it's
01:35still going to feel pretty warm out there.
01:38Then to finish off the day, still more cloud to come, constantly feeding in from the west
01:43and it will still be thick enough to produce some light outbreaks of rain, saying that though,
01:47most areas will probably remain quite dry and where we will see patchy rain will continue
01:52to be across Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland, perhaps some areas of Wales and South West
01:57England too.
01:58And the odd clearer sky where temperatures will come down that little bit more, but overall
02:02temperatures are fairly similar, still a little bit warmer across the very far south and
02:06southeast.
02:08Then heading into Monday, it's certainly going to be a bit more of a changeable day across
02:12parts of the north.
02:13We have this weather system bringing in some quite widespread outbreaks of rain across Scotland,
02:18Northern Ireland and parts of Northern England towards the end of the day.
02:21And some of this rain could be quite heavy, perhaps turning a little bit gustier too under
02:26the heaviest spells of rain.
02:28Still much of the south, especially England and Wales, is going to remain fairly dry, but
02:33we could still see some spots of rain by the afternoon, but very, very small amounts.
02:38And still fairly warm once again, highs still reaching between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius across
02:45many areas of central southern England, parts of Wales.
02:48Towards the north, especially across Scotland, temperatures remaining around average, so around
02:5217 to 18 degrees Celsius here.
02:55Now the question on everyone's lips is, are we going to see any more rain, certainly across
03:00the south where some areas haven't seen rain in almost two months?
03:04And the answer is yes and no, low pressure still remains situated towards the north west.
03:10So this as well, we'll see most of the rain, but actually across some southern areas, there
03:14will be some showers.
03:15And I suspect by the end of the week, most areas will have seen some rain, even if it's
03:21just a little bit.
03:22And along with that, temperatures will gradually be falling as well.
03:25And by the end of the week, things more for around average for this point in August.
03:29So there is a slight change on its way, but there's still quite a lot of dry conditions
03:33out there.
