00:00The hot weather returns this week, but not for everywhere.
00:03We're actually going to see some rain, particularly across more northwestern areas.
00:08On Monday night, our front moves in.
00:10These are the rainfall accumulations throughout this week.
00:12You can see some quite persistent rain across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland.
00:16Very little, though, moving into more southern areas.
00:19We could see some rain across some western areas, but just a few millimeters or so.
00:24Much of the rain through the rest of the week after Monday night is going to be in the form
00:27of showers.
00:28And whilst it remains dry in the south and east, it's also going to turn much hotter once again.
00:34Another heat wave is likely for some southeastern areas of England,
00:37as high pressure is dominating these areas through the week.
00:41Further north, though, low pressure is not too far away, and that will introduce weather fronts.
00:45It's going to be quite a wet start to the day across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland.
00:49Quite windy, too, across the far north of Scotland, at least through the beginning part of Tuesday.
00:54It should brighten up into the afternoon.
00:56Still a few showers pushing in.
00:57There could be some thunderstorms and some heavy downpours in these showers as well in the afternoon.
01:02So quite a breezy and wet afternoon across the north and west.
01:05Meanwhile, a dry, sunny and hot day to come across central and southeastern areas of England in particular.
01:13Temperatures climbing to 30 degrees.
01:15We could see 31 degrees across parts of London and parts of East Anglia, too.
01:20Elsewhere in the high 20s across the Midlands and the mid-20s across parts of South Wales, the south coast
01:27of England, too.
01:28It's also going to be quite a warm day once the rain and cloud clears across eastern areas of Scotland,
01:33too.
01:33But a slightly breezier day here.
01:36So mixed fortunes from northwest to southeast.
01:38And that trend continues throughout this week as low pressure continues to bring in a few frontal systems across the
01:44northwest to start the day on Wednesday as well.
01:48But high pressure still dominating in the south and east.
01:50It's going to be an even hotter day across the south and east on Wednesday, with temperatures likely to climb
01:56towards the mid-30s.
01:58But a band of rain pushes in across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland.
02:02Again, we could see some thundery downpours associated with that frontal band as well.
02:07So some quite heavy downpours are possible.
02:10Very little in the way of rain further south than Scotland into parts of northern England and Wales.
02:15There will be some cloudier skies, making the sunshine a little bit hazier.
02:19But towards parts of the Midlands, south and eastern areas of England, it's going to be a very hot day
02:24indeed, with temperatures climbing to 34 degrees.
02:28That's probably when the temperatures will peak on Wednesday.
02:31It does turn a little bit cooler as we head into Thursday.
02:34We've got this weather front pushing in from the north and west.
02:37So that will introduce slightly cooler air.
02:39More in the way of cloud once again across the north and west.
02:42We could see a few showers as well on Thursday across more southern areas.
02:46But I think it's a pretty low risk.
02:48They're not going to be very heavy at all across more southern areas.
02:51But you could see the odd spot of rain.
02:54Looking further north, though, we've got heavier bands of rain.
02:57Again, a risk of some thundery downpours across some areas of Scotland throughout Thursday.
03:02You can see the temperature difference from northwest to southeast, 10 or so degrees in it.
03:0715 degrees in the northwest, closer to 30 degrees in the south and east.
03:13So a big difference northwest to southeast throughout the week.
03:17High pressure continues to dominate across southern areas into the end of the week.
03:22And we could see that dry weather being a little bit more widespread on Friday as we don't see any
03:27weather fronts pushing in.
03:28But there'll still be a few showers across the far north and west of parts of the UK into parts
03:33of Scotland.
03:34Elsewhere, a dry, sunny and warm day.
03:37It's not going to be as warm as it has been earlier on in the week.
03:41Temperatures in the mid-20s across southeastern areas, the lower 20s elsewhere.
03:46So feeling much fresher, it's going to be fresher overnight as well as we head towards the weekend.
03:51And that trend continues, remains relatively dry.
03:54Some bands of rain coming and going.
03:56It's probably going to be quite showery through the weekend.
03:59But it is going to remain relatively warm.
04:02But temperatures will likely peak on Wednesday.
04:05So I think after a hot middle part of the week, it will turn a little bit fresher by the
04:09weekend.
04:10But we will, of course, be keeping up to date throughout this week on our YouTube channel.
04:13So don't forget to subscribe.
04:15Bye-bye.
