00:10That's right, Paul. The closure between the Edgewood-Twistville and Squirrel Hill interchanges
00:14was expected to last 25 days, but the Parkway East is set to reopen a week early.
00:20The new Commercial Street bridge is now in place after crews worked around the clock
00:24to demolish the old bridge, slide the 22-million-pound replacement into position,
00:29and complete roadway improvements.
00:32Because the work is being completed before July 28th,
00:35the contractors will receive a $2 million bonus.
00:39PennDOT says Commercial Street underneath the new bridge could reopen as early as next Monday.

00:51of a shooting near the Space Needle last night.

01:26A man was in critical condition after a shooting Sunday afternoon in Northview Heights.
01:30Police say the man was wounded two times in the North Heights Estates housing development on Haslett Street.
01:36And a man from Clarksburg, West Virginia, is accused of attempted homicide in Indiana County.
01:4260-year-old Robert Richard II is facing a long list of charges after the Sunday incident on Valley Road
01:48in Young Township.
01:49State police say Richard was pointing an automatic rifle in the direction of a neighbor's home
01:54and then fired at the troopers when they arrived.
01:57They fired back, wounding him in the shoulder.
01:59He was arrested and taken to a hospital.
02:02A 19-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Westmoreland County.
02:06This happened around 8.45 a.m. at the intersection of Route 819 and St. Clair Avenue in Hempfield Township.
02:13In a release, the coroner said Lam Young of Greensburg was thrown from the motorcycle after missing a turn,
02:19leaving the road and crashing into a ditch in a boulder.
02:22He died at a hospital a short time later.
02:24A delicate pause is underway in the U.S.-Iran war as diplomatic efforts are intensifying.
