00:04Hello Tassie, it is Sunday the 25th of July and this is your weather update for the week ahead.
00:09There is quite a bit of rain as we can see on the way for the west coast but it
00:13also
00:14transfers to some parts in the east coast this week as there's a big rain system arriving on
00:20Tuesday as a front moves through leaving behind some very chilly temperatures afterward with
00:26likely frost and fog later on in the week. So let's break this down every day to see what's
00:31coming for you. Okay so this is the Sunday rainfall accumulation, five to ten mils on the west coast,
00:39Monday same thing and then Tuesday is that major day okay so we have 25 to 50 mils along the
00:47west
00:47coast but even up here 15 to 25 mils in the Scottsdale region so quite a bit of rain especially
00:53for that
00:54north east area. As you can see Wednesday we've still got some rain coming down into the south now
01:01but by Thursday it drops down showers so there'll be rain every day but the major like the intense
01:07rain is on Tuesday. This is Friday, should drop off on the east coast here and then Saturday same,
01:16east coast is dry, west coast remains wet but only two to five mils. I just want to show you
01:22the wind
01:22wind fields so this is the Tuesday wind fields you'll be receiving gusts between 63 to 90 kilometers
01:28an hour with the potential of getting over 90 k's an hour so there will be strong wind marine warnings
01:35across the first few days of the week and it should ease as the high pressure moves over afterwards.
01:42So as those fronts move through at the start of the week they're replacing some slightly warmer air with
01:49really cold air meaning that as the week goes on we are getting some frost risk so let's look here
01:55I've got Scottsdale up and we're looking at Thursday we reach zero degrees celsius on Thursday so there is
02:01frost risk across those days. Friday frost and fog and then by Saturday it's just fog again but if we
02:09look here at Tuesday I'm going to show you we've got 18 mils and we've got very strong wind gusts
02:15here,
02:15poor spraying conditions. We've got some decent confidence on that rainfall between 12 and 26 mils
02:21and if we have a look here across the models they're all showing rainfall it's just how much it receives
02:27at that location. Okay so that's it for Tassie, a little wet week ahead definitely cooler towards the end
02:35do stay safe. I reckon they're as likely sheep graziers warning this week so definitely something to be
02:43paying attention to as that cold wet windy weather arrives. Stay safe, rug up and I'll see you next time.
02:49you
