00:19The no-leave-out method is a simple protective style
00:23where we use clip-ins, and instead of leaving your natural hair out,
00:28we crochet into the part to create a blended effect of natural texture.
00:31The clip-in method that I'll be using today can be very helpful for our curly girls
00:37because it alleviates a lot of tension on the root.
00:41These curly clip-ins are great to switch up your style
00:44when you don't want to put any tension on your hair.
00:47My hair right now is super-duper natural.
00:50I'm a 4B curl pattern, so my hair is super fine, by the way.
00:56When it comes onto flat ironing it, it's like this thin.
01:01So I've really been gearing more towards the protective styles these days.
01:06The more I can keep my hair out of me running through it and playing with it
01:11and just messing with it, the better.
01:13So I'm really excited to have all of my hair braided down
01:16and have a complete 100% protective style again.
01:20So I got these really pretty clip-ins from Kinkistree.
01:24Do you have the hair with you today?

01:28So I have a 20 inch and an 18 inch.
01:31I've definitely wanted to work with Kinkistree for a while.
01:36Oh good.
01:37So I'm excited.
01:38Yes, I'm really excited about it too.
01:39The hair is like really full and pretty.
01:42And I feel like the two bundles are going to be perfect because my head is small.
01:47So I'm not going to need too much and it's to be natural.
01:50Be nice and full.
01:51So I opted for this method because I have commitment issues.
01:54I can't stick to just one hairstyle for a long time.
01:57I get that.
01:58So clip-ins are best for me.
02:00And I think the no-leave-out method is great because I won't have to deal with my own hair.

02:08First, we'll begin with freshly washed hair and I definitely encourage a deep conditioning
02:13session if we're going to have your hair away under a style for a couple of weeks.
02:17With each client, I love to section for manageability as I work my leave-in through.
02:21With textured hair, I've learned that Bantu knots are the holy grill for holding the moisture
02:27in each section while detangling, especially for stretching the hair.
02:30Now I will be stretching the hair to prepare Bree's hair for breaks.
02:33A light blow-dry will lock in that hydration and aid in smoother manipulation while braiding it down.
02:39I'm going to coat the hair prior to braiding for added moisture.
02:42I'm using Hydrolux Growth in Anti-Itch Serum.
02:46Next, I'll be mapping out where my part will be.
02:48In this case, our lovely model is into middle parting.
02:52So center is where our two anchor braids will be.
02:54So here, I'm going to give Bree a few straight backs so we can squeeze those clips in and snap
03:00close.
03:00You may want to sew the ends of your braids together and up for added security.
03:05Beginning from the bottom, we want to place our clips with three snaps in the nape,
03:11wefts with four clips behind the ears and around the occipital bone,
03:15three snap weft at the crown, and our double clips on the sides.
03:20Now I'm ready to blend.
03:21Starting with the crochet needle, I'm going to push the open needle under and through the braid,
03:26section a tiny piece of hair from the top of the clip, pulling it back through the braid and releasing
03:32towards Bree's part.
03:33Once I find that rhythm, I want to continue this all around both sides of my part and hairline.
03:40When my parting is nicely covered in full, I may even tease around my part for added blend and lift.
03:45I love saturating my curls section by section with the leave-in, curl cream, and foam to get great wash
03:51and go definition.
03:53Lastly, I ensure clean smooth edges with gel or spray of choice and just hit with cool air to set.
03:59And now it's time for the reveal.

04:42What I love most about the look is just the fact that it looks like it's not.
04:46Because you cannot tell me that this is a closure, because it's literally touching my skin.
