15:10and the splendour of old men is grey hair.
15:15Beatings and wounds cleanse away all evil,
15:18and floggings cleanse the innermost being.
15:23This is the word of the Lord.
15:26Thanks be to God.
15:38Mary said,

17:02The Gospel according to Saint Matthew, chapter 14.
17:08When Jesus heard this,
17:10he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place.
17:15But when the crowd heard about it,
17:17they followed him on foot from the tents.
17:21As he got out, he saw the large crowd,
17:24and he had compassion on them,
17:27and healed their sick.
17:31When evening arrived,
17:33his disciples came to him, saying,
17:35This is an isolated place,
17:38and the hour is already late.
17:40Send the crowds away,
17:42that they may go into the villages,
17:44and buy food for themselves.
17:47But he replied,
17:49They don't need to go.
17:51You give them something to eat.
17:54They said to him,
17:56But we have here only five loaves and two fish.
18:00Bring them here to me, he replied.
18:04Then he instructed the crowds to sit down on the grass.
18:08He took the five loaves and the two fish,
18:10and looking up to heaven,
18:12he gave thanks and broke the loaves.
18:15He gave them to the disciples,
18:17who in turn gave them to the crowds.
18:20They all ate and were satisfied,
18:23and they picked up the broken pieces left over.
18:27Twelve baskets full.
18:30Not counting women and children,
18:32there were about five thousand men who ate.
18:38Immediately, Jesus made the disciples get into the boat,
18:41and go ahead of him to the other side,
18:44while he dispersed the crowds.
18:47When he had sent the crowds away,
18:50he went up the mountain by himself to pray.
18:52And when evening came,
18:54he was there alone.
18:58Meanwhile, the boat,
18:59which was already far from land,
19:01was taking a beating from the waves,
19:04because the wind had turned against it.
19:07As the night was ending,
19:08Jesus came to them,
19:10walking on the sea.
19:12When the disciples saw him walking on the water,
19:15they were terrified and said,
19:17It's a ghost!
19:19And cried out with fear.
19:22Immediately, Jesus spoke to them,
19:25Have courage, it is I.
19:27Do not be afraid.
19:31Peter said to him,
19:32Lord, if it is you,
19:33order me to come to you on the water.
19:36And so he said,
19:38Come.
19:39Peter got out of the boat,
19:41and walked on the water,
19:42and went towards Jesus.
19:45But when he saw the strong wind,
19:47he became afraid.
19:49Starting to sink,
19:50he cried out,
19:51Lord, save me!
19:55Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand,
19:58and caught him,
20:00saying to him,
20:01You of little faith,
20:02why did you doubt?
20:04When they went up into the boat,
20:06the wind ceased.
20:08Then those who were in the boat,
20:10worshipped him, saying,
20:12Truly you are the Son of God.
20:16After they had crossed over,
20:18they came into land at Canusseret.
20:21And when the people there recognised him,
20:23they sent word into all the surrounding area,
20:26and they brought their sick to him.
20:29They begged him,
20:30that if only they could touch the edge of his cloak,
20:33all who touched it were healed.
20:38This is the word of the Lord.
