00:00Hello. Tuesday's weather will be remarkably similar to Monday's weather.
00:05High pressure is dominating. If you're after some rain, well, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed.
00:09Here's the high pressure just sitting out to the west of the UK.
00:13The winds go clockwise around high pressure.
00:15The jet stream, well, it's a fairly feeble affair and it's well up to the north.
00:20There is a little arm of it out just leaving Canada and we will see things just starting to shift.
00:26High pressure edging south, weather fronts trying to topple in and maybe as the jet gets its act together,
00:33having a bit more success as we head towards the weekend.
00:36So perhaps a little bit of rain on the horizon for the weekend, but that's a long way off.
00:42For more on the weather throughout this week, you want to watch Claire Nazir's full week ahead forecast.
00:46But let's rewind and come back to Monday evening where we've got a gentle northerly breeze,
00:52bringing a bit more cloud and maybe one or two light showers just feeding into North Norfolk there.
00:59But not going to be much for the gardeners to get excited about.
01:03Some patchy rain will affect the north of Scotland as well and fairly thick cloud across Northern Ireland.
01:09Again, here, one or two light showers.
01:10But most places dry, most places clear.
01:13And with the northerly flow, temperatures getting down to a comfortable 13 or 14 in most towns and cities.
01:19Rural areas may well dip down into single figures.
01:22So a reasonably comfortable night.
01:24Another sunny day to come for.
01:25The vast majority on Tuesday will start pretty grey, I suspect, across eastern counties of England.
01:31And one or two light showers possible.
01:33Norfolk, Suffolk, perhaps into Kent there.
01:35But they should be easing away.
01:37As will the showery outbreaks of rain across northern Scotland.
01:40But we'll keep quite a bit of cloud in here.
01:42And one or two showers always never too far away from the north coast of Northern Ireland.
01:48Might just see the cloud bubbling up a little bit, generating the odd shower over the Pennines too.
01:53But most places, again, dry, fine, plenty of sunny spells.
01:56A little warmer, actually, through Tuesday compared to Monday.
02:00Temperatures more widely into the mid-20s.
02:0327, 28 is possible across southern counties.
02:06Again, where you've got the breeze coming in from the sea.
02:08That will make it a little bit cooler.
02:10Temperatures likely to stick in the teens.
02:13As we go through Tuesday evening, not a great deal of change.
02:15Still a chance of one or two lightest showers.
02:18Just drifting over northeast England.
02:19Perhaps coming down again into East Anglia.
02:22And again, thickening cloud through the night across northern Scotland.
02:25Providing some rain and drizzle here as that northerly flow just continues.
02:30But again, a reasonably comfortable night for most.
02:34And Wednesday, well, more of the same.
02:35Yes, some cloud will bubble up through the day.
02:38So it won't be crystal clear blue skies.
02:39We'll always keep the chance of some light showers drifting into northern Scotland at times.
02:45And around coasts, it'll be a little cooler.
02:47But inland, we should get temperatures widely into the low to perhaps mid-20s across the south.
02:52Again, 26, 27 likely somewhere along the south coast.
02:56So it is a repeating process as we go through the next few days.
03:00But as I said at the start, signs of some change as we head into the weekend.
03:05But again, probably not a lot to get excited about if you are after some rainfall.
03:09As I said, you can watch the full week ahead details with Claire Nazir available on our YouTube channel.
