00:07Plenty of fine weather around for the next couple of days.
00:10We did have some fairly lively conditions through the course of yesterday.
00:14This little swirl of clouds still providing some windy weather across the northeast.
00:18And then there's this line of cloud out in the Atlantic.
00:21That is an area of low pressure and these weather fronts will angle their way
00:25towards Northern Ireland and Scotland for later tomorrow.
00:28But for most places, this ridge of high pressure is the dominant feature.
00:32Trying to push in, but we've still got the low nearby that brought the wet and windy conditions through yesterday
00:37across the far northeast and still providing some pretty gusty winds through this afternoon
00:41over northeast Scotland.
00:43It's quite breezy too across Northern England, Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
00:47But the breeze is slowly easing.
00:49The cloud and light rain and drizzle clearing away from the south coast.
00:53So plenty of sunshine here for this afternoon.
00:55Most places are seeing quite a bit of sunshine.
00:58Sun is pretty strong though at this time of year.
01:01UV levels are high or very high in some locations.
01:04Temperatures are also on the rise.
01:06Most places about average for this stage of June.
01:10High teens, low 20s.
01:11But of course the southeast, 24, 25.
01:13We could easily get to 26, perhaps even 27 in one or two spots.
01:17As we go through the nights, we'll see a bit more clouds spilling into Northern Ireland,
01:21Western Scotland, one or two light showers here and there, chiefly over the hills.
01:26For most places it's going to be a dry night.
01:28The winds continuing to ease across the northeast and with light winds further south.
01:33A cooler night, a more comfortable night.
01:35Not as humid as many nights recently.
01:37We'll dip down to 10 to 13 degrees Celsius generally.
01:42On to Friday and it's going to be a fine day.
01:44Certainly for most of England and Wales, dry and bright with plenty of hazy sunshine.
01:47Showing the wind's lighter than today.
01:49There'll be sunny spells across the northeast as well.
01:51Again, the wind's lighter than today here.
01:54More cloud in Western Scotland.
01:55Still one or two showers.
01:57And after a bright start, things clouding over in Northern Ireland with some light rain
02:01and drizzle just trickling in here for the afternoon.
02:04So the skies turn rather grey and it does turn a bit damp.
02:07The same goes for maybe parts of the coast of northwest England, southwest Scotland.
02:11Seeing a bit of that drizzly rain getting in before tea time.
02:15The breeze picks up in the Western Isles as well.
02:17But elsewhere, the winds stay licensed with plenty of strong sunshine again.
02:21Across England and Wales, we'll see those temperatures a bit higher than today.
02:25More widely into the mid-20s.
02:27Again, 26, 27 likely across the southeast.
02:31And we could well see temperatures rising further over the next couple of days.
02:35That wet weather across Northern Ireland pushes more bodily into central and southern Scotland
02:40during Friday evening.
02:41So there will be some rain and drizzle around here.
02:43That's from a weather front.
02:45That system we saw earlier, that line of cloud from this low pressure, which continues to dance its way
02:51across parts of northern Scotland into the weekend.
02:54But further south, high pressure is building and allowing the temperatures to rise as well.
02:58Warmer air is wafting in.
03:00Another weather system again just straddling that high further north.
03:03So the weekend will bring some cloudier skies with a bit of rain into western Scotland.
03:08Could be quite heavy here.
03:09But for most places, high pressure is going to bring a lot of dry weather this weekend.
03:13And it's going to warm up as well.
03:15Our fully detailed weekend weather forecast, that'll be available on our YouTube channel on Thursday afternoon.
