00:00One of the things that I think is the coolest about our land is the abundance of trees that
00:03we have.
00:03So when we started, this was all raw land.
00:06Like there was nothing here.
00:07It was all just straight forest.
00:09So we had to cut a ton of trees down in order to be able to put in a garden
00:12and a yurt and
00:13an outhouse and a driveway and all the things.
00:15So all of the wood we saved, like we did things intentionally with.
00:19One of the things was firewood because we have a wood stove for heat, so we need firewood.
00:23But another thing is that all of the big hardwoods, specifically the straight hemlocks, we had
00:29a guy come a couple weeks ago.
00:30He brought a portable sawmill and he milled all of these timbers for us.
00:35So some of them we'll use for projects like bookshelves and things around the house.
00:39Some of them are going to be milled or he milled them into really specific cut sizes.
00:44And then my husband is going to cut them into, cut the mortise and tenons in the wood and we
00:50are going to make it into a barn.
00:51In probably a year or two because stuff like this takes a lot of time, we're going to have
00:56a beautiful barn, at least largely made from wood off of our land.
01:00And I don't know, I don't think there's much that's cooler than that.
