00:00This video is going to be everything you need to know about prenatals, which ones to take,
00:03which ones to avoid, and which ones are going to benefit you and your baby the most.
00:06Let me caveat this by saying I do pregnancy holistically. This means naturally and looking
00:10at the whole body. I've done two beautiful births. I'm working on three pregnancies this way,
00:14and it's been wonderful for me. So this is my advice. You're typically told when you get
00:17pregnant to go take a prenatal and you'll be good. And I disagree with that because when you
00:21take a blanket prenatal, being told that this is everything that your baby and body are going to
00:24need, it gives your brain a full sense of security and it makes you then less intentional about the
00:28things that you're consuming. And that's bad. Also, every baby body in pregnancy is different.
00:33You're going to be deficient in different things in each season of life, and you need to supplement
00:37for those things intentionally, not just a blanket supplement for everything. Many prenatals are also
00:41full of synthetic additives and fillers, which are just going to cost you extra money and can
00:45actually do anything to benefit your baby, which is not what you need. That's not to say I don't
00:49take supplements in pregnancy, because clearly I do, but I supplement intentionally. If I'm low in
00:53vitamin C, I take ace royal cherries. If I'm low in omegas, I take fish roe and cod liver oil.
00:58If I'm
00:58low in copper and iron or zinc, take beef liver. I'm getting the nutrients that my body needs from
01:03whole food sources, which is what you should be doing. When you get pregnant, your first priority
01:07should be eating a wide range of nutrient-dense, high-quality foods. Then, and only then, if you're
01:12struggling with certain things, should you figure out what supplements to add in to help support your
01:16body best. Not a blanket supplement for all of pregnancy, because you're not going to need all the
01:20things in here, but specific supplements for what your body is lacking or struggling with. Many healthcare
01:24providers just want to recommend prenatal because it's easier, but it's not what's going to be best
01:28for you. So if you want help figuring out what foods to be eating, what nutrients your body
01:31might be lacking, and what supplements would actually help you the most, comment the word
01:35prenatal below, and I will send you all the info that you need to figure this out for yourself,
01:38and I'll be there to help you too.
