00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
03:11as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord,
03:54because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:14A gentle response turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath.
04:21The tongue of the wise treats knowledge correctly,
04:25but the mouth of the fowl spouts out folly.
04:30The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
04:33keeping watch on those who are evil, and those who are good.
04:38Speech that heals is like a life-giving tree,
04:42but a perverse tongue breaks the spirit.
04:47A fool rejects his father's discipline,
04:50but whoever heeds reproof shows good sense.
04:54In the house of the righteous is abundant wealth,
04:58but the income of the wicked brings trouble.
05:02The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
05:05but not so the heart of fools.
05:09The Lord abhors the sacrifices of the wicked,
05:13but a prayer of an upright man pleases him.
05:18The Lord abhors the way of the wicked,
05:20but he loves those who pursue righteousness.
05:25Severe discipline is for the one who abandons the way.
05:29The one who hates reproof will die.
05:33Death and destruction are before the Lord.
05:36How much more the hearts of humans.
05:40The scorner does not love one who corrects him.
05:43He will not go to the wise.
05:47A joyful heart makes the face cheerful,
05:51but by a painful heart the spirit is broken.
05:55The discerning heart seeks knowledge,
05:58but the mouth of fools feeds on folly.
06:03All the days of the afflicted are bad,
06:06but one with a cheerful heart has a continual feast.
06:12Better is little with the fear of the Lord
06:14than great wealth and turmoil with it.
06:19Better a meal of vegetables where there is love
06:22than a fattened ox where there is hatred.
06:27A quick-tempered person stirs up dissension,
06:30but the one who is slow to anger calms a quarrel.
06:36The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns,
06:40but the path of the upright is like a highway.
06:44A wise child brings joy to his father,
06:47but a foolish person despises his mother.
06:52Folly is a joy to one who lacks sense,
06:55but one who has understanding follows an upright course.
07:01Plans fail when there is no counsel,
07:04but with abundant advisers they are established.
07:09A person has joy in giving an appropriate answer
07:12and a word at the right time,
07:15how good it is.
07:18The path of life is upward for the wise person
07:21to keep him from going downward to shale.
07:25The Lord tears down the house of the proud,
07:28but he maintains the boundaries of the widow.
07:32The Lord abhors the plans of the wicked,
07:35but pleasant words are pure.
07:39The one who is greedy for gain troubles his household,
07:43but whoever hates bribes will live.
07:47The heart of the righteous considers how to answer,
07:51but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
07:56The Lord is far from the wicked,
07:58but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
08:03A bright look brings joy to the heart,
08:05and good news gives health to the body.
08:09The person who hears the reproof that leads to life
08:13is at home among the wise,
08:16but the one who refuses correction despises himself,
08:20and whoever hears reproof acquires understanding.
08:26The fear of the Lord provides wise instruction,
08:29and before honour comes humility.
08:33This is the word of the Lord.
08:36Thanks be to God.
08:42My word is a lantern unto my face,
08:48and a light unto my heart.
08:55I have sworn and am steadfastly purpose,
09:01to keep thy righteous judgment.
09:05I am troubled above all.
09:10I am troubled above all.
09:11I am troubled above all.
09:12We can be alone,
09:14and call it to thy love.
09:18Let the free will offer it on my path,
09:23with thee alone,
09:26and teach me thy time.
09:30My soul is only in thy hand.
09:37Yet do I not forget my love.
09:43My soul is only in thy hand.
09:48But yet I am troubled above all.
09:56But yet I'm troubled above all.
10:05But yet I'm troubled above all.
10:08My soul is only in thy hand.
10:11I have applied my heart to fulfill my strength
10:19O bring me God unto thee
10:26I make them much imagine in evil things
10:36As my Lord who I love
10:42Thou art my defense and sin
10:46And my trust is in thy blood
10:51Away from me, we
10:57I will keep the love of hearts on my heart
11:02O stand is me according to a man where I may live
11:10I will keep the love of hearts on my heart
11:17I will keep the love of hearts on my heart
11:19O love me, I find I shall be saved
11:24Where I delight shall be ever in thy statutes
11:31Thou art, thou art, thou who let thine
11:35Governor whether to have part of my statutes
11:39Thou may him let him not be sweet
11:46Thou putest away on thee and God, thee of thee, at thy cross
11:52Therefore I love thy testament
11:57I present them for fear of me
12:04I am afraid of thy power
12:15I deal with a thing that is lawful and right
12:21O give me your love unto my love present
12:28May thou thy servant to delight in that which is true
12:35And a crown to me no longer
12:42Thy light awaits me away with looking for thy hand
12:49And for the Lord of my light is my son
12:55To give me thy servant to call it unto my loving virtue
13:03And keep me my virtue
13:09I am thy son to grant thee understanding
13:15That I may know thy testimony
13:22It is time for thee, Lord, to lay through thine hand
13:29O day of this law and thine law
13:34For thy love thy command
13:39From a full and precious stone
13:45And for all thy strength, all thy command
13:52And for all thy strength, all thy command
13:59O day of this law and thou hast
14:08O day of this law may not
14:16O day of this law
14:25I opened my mouth and threw in my breath,
14:32for my delight was in my heart.
14:39Will you come for me and be merciful unto me?
14:46As I use it to do unto the world that I may,
14:53all of my strength if I want,
14:59and soldier of the wickedness that the wicked of the will,
15:07who deliver me from the wrongful feelings of fear,
15:14and soldier I give I can not,
15:20show the light of my country and stop on my sound,
15:27and teach me how I stand to tell,
15:33my light, my heart will go,
15:38the hope and keep on my love.
15:49Righteous art thou, O Lord,
15:53and true is thy judgment,
15:58the testimonies that thou hast come to me,
16:03O Lord, see thee righteous and true,
16:10my steel and evil comes to me,
16:16because thy yellow wings have forgotten thy word.
16:23Thy word is right to thee on the moon,
16:28and thy eyes have forgotten thy word.
16:35I am small and of no reputation.
16:42Yet do I not forget my commandments,
16:50thyortunities that thou hast I have,
16:52the heart of my nation.
16:56Thy Battery is heaven,
16:57and earth's gathering is thy way,
17:00you should help our faith.
17:02You should have heard the truth as I can not,
17:03wilde and will be an important one.
17:10All Mya rule is in Gal sentence,
17:10the time for Jair is my heart,
17:12the time for J ISJAS.
17:15the time for Jair,
17:16and I will gather all her kingdom up behind the will,
17:16and I will be the highest they will ever,
17:16For the could never do the season that I will.
17:17The brightest bless of thy testimony is ever larger,
17:24who grant me understanding and I can live.
17:35Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
17:43and to the Holy Ghost,
17:49as it was in the beginning,
17:54is now and never shall,
17:59and will not end. Amen.
18:17The Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 25
18:22Three days after Festus arrived in the province,
18:25he went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.
18:29So the chief priests and the most prominent men of the Jews
18:32brought formal charges against Paul to him.
18:37Requesting him to do them a favour against Paul,
18:39they urged Festus to summon him to Jerusalem,
18:43planning an ambush to kill him along the way.
18:48But Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea,
18:52and that he himself intended to go there shortly.
18:56And so he said, let your leaders go down there with me,
19:00and if this man has done anything wrong,
19:02they may bring charges against him.
19:07After Festus had stayed not more than eight or ten days amongst them,
19:12he went down to Caesarea,
19:14and the next day he sat on the judgment seat and ordered Paul to be brought.
19:21When he arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem
19:25stood around about him,
19:27bringing many serious charges that they were completely unable to prove.
19:34Paul said in his defence,
19:37I have committed no offence against the Jewish law,
19:40or against the temple,
19:42or against Caesar.
19:45But Festus, wanting to do the Jews a favour,
19:48asked Paul,
19:50Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem
19:52and be tried before me there on these charges?
19:58Paul replied,
20:00I am standing before Caesar's judgment seat,
20:03where I should be tried.
20:05I have done nothing wrong to the Jews,
20:07as you know very well.
20:10If then I am in the wrong,
20:12and have done anything that deserves death,
20:14I am not trying to escape dying.
20:17But if not one of their charges against me is true,
20:20no one can hand me over to them.
20:24I appeal to Caesar."
20:29Then, having conferred with his council,
20:32Festus replied,
20:34You have appealed to Caesar.
20:37To Caesar you will go.
20:41After several days had passed,
20:43King Agrippa and Bernice arrived in Caesarea
20:46to pay their respects to Festus.
20:49While they were staying there many days,
20:52Festus explained Paul's case to the king,
20:54to get his opinion saying,
20:57There is a man left here as a prisoner by Felix.
21:00When I was in Jerusalem,
21:02the chief priests and the elders of the Jews
21:04informed me about him,
21:06asking for a sentence of condemnation against him.
21:11I answered that it was not the custom of Rome
21:15to hand over anyone before the accused
21:17had met his accusers face to face,
21:20and had been given an opportunity
21:22to make a defense against the accusation.
21:26So after they came back here with me,
21:28I did not postpone the case,
21:30but the very next day,
21:31I sat on the judgment seat,
21:33and ordered the man to be brought.
21:36When his accusers stood up,
21:38they did not charge him with any
21:40of the evil deeds I had suspected.
21:44Rather, they had several points of disagreement
21:47with them about their own religion,
21:49and about a man named Jesus,
21:51who was dead,
21:52whom Paul claimed to be alive.
21:57Because I was completely at a loss
22:00how I could possibly investigate these matters.
22:04I asked if he was willing to go to Jerusalem
22:07and be tried there on these charges.
22:12But when Paul appealed to be kept in custody
22:14for the decision of His Majesty the Emperor,
22:18I ordered him to be kept under guard
22:20until I could send him to Caesar.
22:26Agrippa said to Festus,
22:27I would also like to hear the man myself.
22:31Tomorrow, he replied, you will hear him.
22:35And so the next day Agrippa ran to Bernice
22:38who came with great pomp and entered the audience hall,
22:41along with senior military officers
22:43and the prominent men of the city.
22:46When Festus gave the order,
22:48Paul was brought in.
22:50Then Festus said,
22:52King Agrippa,
22:53and all who are present here with us,
22:55you see this man,
22:56about whom the entire Jewish population
22:59petitioned me both in Jerusalem and here,
23:02shouting loudly that he ought not live any longer.
23:07But I found that he had done nothing that deserved death.
23:11And when he appealed to His Majesty the Emperor,
23:14I decided to send him.
23:17But I have nothing definite to write to my Lord about him.
23:22Therefore I have brought him here before you all,
23:25and especially before you, King Agrippa,
23:27so that after this preliminary hearing
23:30I may have something I can write.
23:33For it seems unreasonable to me
23:36to send a prisoner
23:38without clearly indicating
23:40what charges are being brought against him.
23:44This is the word of the Lord.
23:47Thanks be to God.
23:54Collect for peace.
23:57O God, who is the author of peace
23:59and lover of concord,
24:02in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
24:05whose service is perfect freedom,
24:08defend us, your humble servants,
24:10in all assaults of our enemies,
24:13that we, surely trusting in your defence,
24:17may not fear the power of any adversaries.
24:20Through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord.
24:24Amen.
24:28Collect for our safe Preservation.
24:32O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
24:34almighty and everlasting God,
24:36who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
24:40defend us in the same with your mighty power
24:43and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
24:47neither run into any kind of danger,
24:50but that all our doings may be ordered
24:54by your governance
24:57to do always that which is righteous in your sight,
25:00through Jesus Christ our Lord.
25:04Amen.
25:08Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
25:13and let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
25:19Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
25:23Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words.
25:28When unpredictable circumstances arise,
25:31do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
25:37Lord Jesus, Son of God,
25:39it is better not to live than to live without you.
25:43I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day
25:46and for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
25:53Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day to my Lord and Saviour.
25:58Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
26:03never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
26:07Control my will and teach me to pray,
26:10to believe, to hope, to suffer, to forgive and to love.
26:17Amen.
26:22We pray for the work of your faithful servants throughout the world, Lord.
26:28Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
26:35May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
26:37the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
26:41be with us all today and for evermore.
26:46Amen.
