00:06O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:13O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:22Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
00:26as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:36Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:45I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
00:51of all things visible and invisible.
00:56I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God,
01:01born of the Father before all ages.
01:05God from God, light from light, true God from true God,
01:11begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father.
01:16Through him all things were made.
01:19For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven,
01:24and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:31For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:35He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day,
01:40in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:42He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:48He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
01:52and his kingdom will have no end.
01:55I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
02:00who proceeds from the Father,
02:02who with the Father and the Son,
02:04is adored and glorified,
02:07who has spoken through the prophets.
02:10I believe in one holy, Catholic, and apostolic Church.
02:14I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:18and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
02:22and the life of the world to come.
02:26Amen.
02:29The Lord be with you,
02:32and also with you.
02:35Let us pray.
02:38Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:41Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:44Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:49Our Father in heaven,
02:52holy is your name,
02:54your kingdom come,
02:56your will be done,
02:58on earth as it is in heaven.
03:01Give us today our daily bread,
03:04and forgive us our trespasses,
03:07as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:12Do not allow us to fall into temptation,
03:16but deliver us from every evil.
03:19Amen.
03:23O Lord, have mercy upon us,
03:26and grant us your salvation.
03:31Bless your ministers with righteousness,
03:34and make your chosen people joyful.
03:40O Lord, save your people,
03:43and bless your inheritance.
03:47Give peace in our time, O Lord,
03:50because there is none other that fights for it,
03:53but only you, O God.
03:57O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:03Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:06Amen.
04:11The Book of Nehemiah, Chapter 4
04:15Now, when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall,
04:19he became angry, and was quite upset.
04:22He derided the Jews,
04:24and in the presence of his colleagues,
04:26and the army of Samaria, he said,
04:28What are these feeble Jews doing?
04:32Will they be left to themselves?
04:34Will they again offer sacrifice?
04:36Will they finish this in a day?
04:39Can they bring these burnt stones
04:41to life again from piles of dust?
04:47Then Tobiah the Ammonite, who was close by, said,
04:50Even if a fox were to climb up on what they are building,
04:53it would break their wall of stones.
04:57Hear, O God, for we are despised.
05:00Return their reproach upon their own head.
05:04Reduce them to plunder in a land of exile.
05:07Do not cover their iniquity,
05:09and do not wipe out their sin from before them,
05:12for they have bitterly offended the builders.
05:17So we rebuilt the wall,
05:19and the entire wall was joined together,
05:22up to half its height,
05:23and the people were enthusiastic in their work.
05:31When Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, and Ammonites,
05:34and the people of Ashdod
05:35heard that the restoration of the walls of Jerusalem
05:39had moved ahead,
05:40and that the breaches had begun to be closed,
05:43they were very angry.
05:45And all of them conspired together
05:47to move with armed forces against Jerusalem,
05:50and to create a disturbance in it.
05:54So we prayed to our God,
05:56and stationed a guard to protect against them,
05:58day and night.
06:02Then those in Judah said,
06:04The strength of the labourers has failed.
06:07The debris is so great
06:09that we are unable to rebuild the wall.
06:14Our adversaries also boasted,
06:17Before they are aware or anticipate anything,
06:20we will come in among them and kill them,
06:22and we will bring this work to a halt.
06:27So it happened that the Jews
06:29who were living near them came,
06:31and warned us repeatedly
06:32about the schemes they were plotting against us.
06:36So, I stationed people
06:38at the lower places behind the wall,
06:40in exposed places.
06:43I stationed the people by families
06:45with their swords, spears, and bows.
06:48When I had made an inspection,
06:50I stood up and said to the nobles,
06:52the officials,
06:52and the rest of the people,
06:55Don't be afraid of them.
06:56Remember the great and awesome Lord,
06:58and fight on behalf of your brothers,
07:00your sons and your daughters,
07:02your wives and your families.
07:06It so happened that when our adversaries heard
07:10that we were aware of these matters,
07:12God frustrated their intentions.
07:15Then all of us returned to the wall,
07:18each to his own work.
07:20From that day forward,
07:22half of my men were doing the work,
07:24and half were taking up spears,
07:26shields, bows,
07:26and body armor.
07:29Now the officers were behind
07:31all the people of Judah
07:32who were rebuilding the wall.
07:35Those who were carrying loads
07:36did so by keeping one hand on the work
07:39and the other on their weapon.
07:41And the builders to a man
07:43had their swords strapped to their sides
07:45while they were building.
07:47But the trumpeter remained with me.
07:52I said to the nobles,
07:54the officials,
07:54and all the rest of the people,
07:56the work is demanding and extensive,
07:59and we are spread out on the wall,
08:00far removed from one another.
08:04Whenever you hear the sound of the trumpet,
08:06gather there with us,
08:07and our God will fight for us.
08:11And so we worked on
08:12with half-holding spears
08:14from dawn until dusk.
08:16And at that time,
08:17I instructed the people,
08:19let every man and his co-worker
08:21spend the night in Jerusalem,
08:22and let them be guards for us by night
08:25and our workers by day.
08:28We did not change our clothes,
08:30not I, nor my relatives,
08:32nor my workers,
08:33nor the watchmen who were with me.
08:35Each had his weapon,
08:37even when getting a drink of water.
08:41This is the word of the Lord.
08:44Thanks be to God.
08:51O give thanks to the Lord
08:54for his grace,
08:57and his mercy and joy for ever.
09:01Let him give thanks to the Lord and redeem,
09:06and deliver through the work of the enemy.
09:11And gather them out of the land,
09:15from the east and from the west,
09:19from the north and from the south.
09:23They made the strength of the Lord.
09:27out of the way,
09:29and found those species to dwelling.
09:34But the eye of the city,
09:38their soul befitted in there,
09:43so they cried unto the Lord in that power,
09:48and he believed in them from their distress.
09:55He led them forth by the law and way,
10:01but they were told for the city where they dwelt.
10:07All that made the devil pray to the Lord for his goodness,
10:13and in there the world was just a joy for the children of men.
10:20For his hand is high and the empty soul,
10:25and filled the hungry soul with goodness.
10:29His Lord thus hath.
10:32He blessed him in the snow.
10:34and in there the shadow of dead,
10:38he chose God will message me and life.
10:44He caused him in there against the words of the Lord,
10:51and denied him by the counseling of the forest pipes,

16:08And then he steadeth the hollow, as they gave him to our city to play.
16:18And then he steadeth the hollow, as they gave him to our city to play.
16:29And then he steadeth the hollow, as they might fly and see him, and suffereth not like her, but for

16:41And then he steadeth the hollow, as they gave him to our city to play.
17:02And then he steadeth the hollow, as they gave him to our city to play.
17:28And then he steadeth the hollow, as they gave him to our city to play.
17:34And then he steadeth the hollow, as they gave him to our city to play.
17:51Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
18:00As it was in the beginning, it's now and never shall be,
18:08Lord, we will attain, O, Amen.
18:23The Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 5
18:28But the high priest and those who were with him, the Sadducees,
18:33were full of envy, and they took the apostles and put them in the common prison.
18:38During the night an angel of the Lord, opening the doors of the prison,
18:43took them out and said, Go, take your place in the temple,
18:46and give your people all the teaching about this life.
18:51On hearing this they went into the temple at dawn and were teaching.
18:56But the high priest and those who were with him got together at the Sanhedrin
19:00and the representatives of the children of Israel
19:03and sent to the prison to get them.
19:07But the men who sent saw that they were not in the prison
19:10and came back with the news, saying,
19:13The doors of the prison were safely shut,
19:15and the keepers were at the doors,
19:17but when they were open, there was nobody inside.
19:25Now at these words the captain of the temple and the chief priests
19:28were greatly troubled about what might be the end of this business.
19:32Someone came and said to them,
19:34The men whom you put in prison are in the temple teaching the people.
19:39Then the captain and some of the police went and took them,
19:42but not violently,
19:43for fear that they may be stoned by the people.
19:49When they had brought them,
19:51they stood them before the council,
19:52and the high priest questioned them, saying,
19:56We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name.
20:01Look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching,
20:05and you intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
20:10Peter and the apostles replied,
20:13We must obey God rather than people.
20:16The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus,
20:19whom you seized and killed by hanging on a tree.
20:23God has exalted him to his right hand as leader and saviour,
20:27to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
20:32We are witnesses of these events,
20:35and so is the Holy Spirit,
20:37whom God has given to those who obey him.
20:44When they heard this,
20:45they became furious and wanted to execute them.
20:50One of the Sanhedrin,
20:51the Pharisee named Gamaliel,
20:54a man of learning in the law,
20:56for whom all the people had a high opinion,
21:00got up and made a suggestion for the men
21:02to be put outside for a while,
21:05and he said to them,
21:07Men of Israel,
21:08take care what you do about these men.
21:11Before this there was Theudas,
21:13who said he was someone important,
21:16to whom about 400 men gave their support.
21:20He was put to death,
21:22and his band was broken up,
21:24and came to nothing.
21:27After this man there was Judas of Galilee,
21:29and at the time of the numbering,
21:31some of the people went after him.
21:34He was put to death,
21:35and all his supporters were put to flight.
21:39Now I say to you,
21:41do nothing to these men,
21:43but let them be,
21:44for if this teaching or this work is of men,
21:48it will come to nothing.
21:50But if it is of God,
21:52you will not be able to overcome them,
21:55and you are in danger of fighting against God.
22:00He seemed right to them,
22:02and they sent for the apostles,
22:04and having had them whipped,
22:06and giving them orders to give no teaching
22:08in the name of Jesus,
22:10they let them go.
22:12And so they went away from the Sanhedrin,
22:15happy to undergo shame for the name.
22:18Every day in the temple,
22:20and privately,
22:21they went on teaching and preaching
22:23Jesus as the Christ.
22:26This is the word of the Lord.
22:29Thanks be to God.
22:36Collect for Peace
22:39O God,
22:40who is the author of peace,
22:41and lover of concord,
22:44in knowledge of whom stands
22:45our eternal life,
22:47whose service is perfect freedom,
22:50defend us,
22:51your humble servants,
22:52in all assaults of our enemies,
22:55that we,
22:56surely trusting in your defence,
22:58may not fear the power
23:00of any adversaries.
23:02Through the might of Jesus Christ,
23:05our Lord.
23:06Amen.
23:10The Collect for Our Safe Preservation
23:14O Lord,
23:15our Heavenly Father,
23:16almighty and everlasting God,
23:18who has safely brought us
23:19to the beginning of this day,
23:22defend us in the same
23:24with your mighty power,
23:25and grant that this day
23:27we fall into no sin,
23:29neither run into any kind of danger,
23:32but that all our doings
23:34may be ordered
23:35may be ordered
23:37by your governance
23:38to do always that
23:40which is righteous
23:41in your sight.
23:43Through Jesus Christ,
23:45our Lord.
23:46Amen.
23:50Lord, let me accept calmly
23:52all that this day might bring me,
23:55and let me devote myself
23:57completely
23:58to your sacred will.
24:00Direct me and help me
24:02each hour of this day.
24:05Control my thoughts and feelings
24:07in all my deeds
24:08and words.
24:09When unpredictable circumstances arise,
24:13do not let me forget
24:14that everything comes from you.
24:18Lord Jesus,
24:19Son of God,
24:21it is better not to live
24:23than to live without you.
24:25I thank you, God,
24:26for the gift of this new day
24:28and for all the good deeds
24:30you will help me do today.
24:34Holy Spirit,
24:36help me to dedicate this day
24:38to my Lord and Saviour.
24:40Teach me to be just
24:42toward my brother and sister,
24:45never to provoke wrath
24:47or cause sorrow.
24:49Control my will
24:51and teach me to pray,
24:52to believe,
24:54to hope,
24:55to suffer,
24:56to forgive
24:57and to love.
24:59Amen.
25:03We pray for the work
25:05of your faithful servants
25:07throughout the world, Lord.
25:10Lord, in your mercy,
25:12hear our prayer.
25:16May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
25:19the love of God
25:20and the fellowship
25:22of the Holy Spirit
25:23be with us all today
25:25and for evermore.
25:28Amen.
