00:00This is Becca. We rescued her over a week ago and sadly today she's going in for surgery.
00:06I'll explain everything that's going on but we're starting off our day picking up dog poop.
00:12So we're gonna have to do breakfast a little bit differently this morning because of course
00:16Becca's going for surgery and she can't have breakfast. So I have taken Becca out on a walk
00:22whilst Ella feeds the rest of the dogs because we couldn't just have her around like whilst we got
00:28all the dogs food ready and fed them and then not fed her like we just feel so bad. So
00:34she's on a
00:35alone walk obviously it's only going to be super short because she can't have breakfast this morning
00:39because of her surgery. Once Ella's fed the dogs we're going to bring her back to the house really
00:44quickly let us say goodbye to the dogs and then we'll take her to the vet to go in for
00:48surgery for
00:49the day. Oh good girl Becca. You're gonna be okay today aren't you? She looks great after her spa day
00:56yesterday though. Aren't you? Kid cow. Come on then. Let's go on one very short final walk before
01:03you're in the vets for the day. Okay Becca is back we're not going to take her harness off her.
01:08She's going to say one last goodbye to the dogs haha. Oh this makes me so sad. Before she then
01:13goes
01:13to the vet we're going to take her for surgery. What makes me even more sad is that obviously after
01:19the
01:19surgery she's not going to be able to play like this for a while. So we are right next to
01:23the vets.
01:24We're just seeing if Becca needs a wee or anything before she goes in. In your own time Becca.
01:31Good girl. Oh look at that tail. She's so tired. Guys it's great you've checked me in now.
01:40Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Go on Becca Mae.
01:43Bye. Thank you. Even though we're only one dog down it already feels so much quieter in here.
01:51There's Jockey and Moki, Ivy, Lola and Kobe underneath there. Well whilst Becca has her surgery and we wait to
01:59get a call from the vets to make sure everything is okay. Dilnaz our professional dog behaviorist is
02:04coming around to do some off-lead training with this one who looks absolutely exhausted bless her.
02:12And little miss Ivy as well who's currently hugging me.
02:17So we're working on Lola's long-lead training today and we have come to a nice big open field
02:23with lots of distractions. And you could tell straight away this is already much harder for Lola.
02:29We need to yes good girl teach her to come away okay rather than get fixated on dogs we don't
02:36want
02:36her to fixate on any dogs. Dilnaz then goes into techniques to help Lola when she's distracted like
02:42this. I'm going to do a bit of icon yes because she's out of focus right yes there is no
02:49point
02:50starting any training if she's not focused on us. Okay. Ella then gives it a try too.
02:57Wait her out. Yes. Perfect. And then we came along another distraction.
03:04Looks like our twin walking about 30 dogs so let's see how Lola gets on now.
03:11She's got lots of distractions which is normal this is real life for you here right.
03:17So she's focusing on yes on the dogs getting in. So now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna rotate
03:23yes
03:23my body and actually throw it in the direction of the dogs. So she looks at them and hopefully
03:28she'll turn around and choose me. Yes and there it is. Wow clever girl.
03:34Dilnaz is doing just some insane work with Lola. Like you can really see how quickly Lola
03:40is picking up what she wants her to do. I was pretty far away from her filming at this point
03:45so we decided to test me calling Lola over.
03:54That's a very slow jog Lola.
04:01And then Lola had her ultimate distraction. A load of dog walkers and off lead dogs.
04:07So how will her recall hold up? This is your classic example of the 3Ds right. Right behind
04:14you there's a ton of dogs. Yeah good girl. So she was distracted. Yeah. Okay that doesn't and she
04:21still came she did come she took a bit of processing time. So there's an off lead dog behind you.
04:30Let's see now we've got another one coming up behind you as well JJ. So ideally we want to ask
04:35if
04:35it's okay for them to meet. If that dog's interested. Dog's not. Dog's assessed and gone nope.
04:42No thank you. Wow. That they were they were curious. Yeah. And then they went no. So this one is
04:49the
04:49most curious. She glanced or he glanced again and then went nope. And that's okay. Yeah. Can we say
04:55thank you to Dilnaz in the comments. She's really helping set these dogs up for success for when they
05:01do eventually go to their forever home. Speaking of home. Let's now go back to the house with all the
05:06dogs. So it's midday. All the dogs are chilling out. Don't know if it's just me. Oh look at Ivy.
05:23Not having Becca here. Does feel good boy. Does feel just like strangely quiet. Like who would have thought having
05:32five dogs here. Yes. Hello Ivy. Would feel quiet but it does. So we're basically just waiting for the call
05:40from the vets for Becca to make sure everything went okay. We'll get into exactly what's happening
05:46with her later on in the video. Hello Jockey Girl. Oh that's very brave. Good girl. So the entire reason
05:54we're doing this series is because we are trying to raise £30,000 for Happy Shelter. Happy Shelter is
06:01the charity that all of these dogs came from barring Kobe and Moki. They're hard dogs. And I'll tell you
06:09how
06:09you can donate later on in the video. But if you can't afford to donate it's fine. We've got you.
06:14You can subscribe to our YouTube channel. Oh Jockey's being so brave. Good girl. Sorry. I had to pause
06:21here because this is like one of the first times she's ever just stayed here for pets. I don't want
06:27to look at her. I'm just going to continue talking and act like everything is normal. You can also
06:31follow us on Instagram. We'll be posting every single day on there. Oh my goodness tickles. And you can also
06:38add us on Snapchat. Again scan the QR code and that will donate a penny. So that's three pennies
06:45that will get donated simply by clicking buttons. So it feels a bit strange today to be honest. Feels
06:52like a bit of a down day. Obviously we're kind of just waiting for Becca to come back from her
06:56surgery and all the dogs have just been like weirdly really chilled out. By the way if you are from
07:02the UK
07:02and are interested in adopting any of these lovely dogs if I say so myself. Then all of their links
07:08are in the description. But Kobe and Moki are not up for adoption. They're ours. Every other dog
07:15they're up for adoption. We're now going to go to Macedonia where we filmed with a whole bunch of dogs
07:19at Happy Shelter. We're actually going to get you to meet two dogs today. Well kind of. We've got one
07:26dog
07:26which is the first dog you're going to meet who you've never met before called Marky. An adorable
07:30little boy. And then we're actually going to show you Jockey. So Jockey was actually like a last minute
07:36decision to foster. So when we were at the shelter we filmed with her because we didn't know we were
07:40going to be fostering her. And we thought it would just be really nice for you to be able to
07:44see Jockey's
07:45previous home. So we'll see you guys in Macedonia. This is Marky. He's a bit unsure of people.
07:58So Marky is again from a kill shelter. He's probably around four years old. He's absolutely massive.
08:04Hello. Marky, come here. The shelter that he was from basically the people were taking all the
08:17donations. Oh hello. They weren't looking after the dog. And it's sad because you can kind of see
08:23some of the markings and scratches that he's got on him. Oh he wants pets forever.
08:30Hello my boy. So sadly you can see some of the markings on him.
08:37And basically the shelter just weren't looking after them. The dogs were fighting for food,
08:42fighting for water. And so every donation helps dogs just like Marky. Happy Shelter were
08:47amazing enough to save this dog from that terrible, terrible shelter. And look at him. All he wants to
08:53do is he just wants to be loved. And it's sad because clearly he hasn't been taken care of.
08:59He's getting well taken care of now. Come on. Oh, good boy. Oh, he got a head butt to you.
09:11Marky. Good boy. Yeah, Marky. Hello, boy. Marky, come on. What is this?
09:22Okay, no collar for Marky then. No, he's like, yes. Okay.
09:29Right, no collar for Marky. When we met Jocky, we were actually at the shelter the next day again,
09:35and I couldn't believe how much more confident she was. Oh, good girl.
09:42Jocky is also from that horrible, horrible kill shelter. Go on dogs, we're trying to do Jocky.
09:49And she can be really shy. She's a beautiful dog.
09:54She can be really shy at first, but you can already see there, she's already willing to trust a bit
09:59more,
09:59which is great. So all donations help Happy Shelter rescue dogs just like Jocky. Oh, look at her.
10:06Oh, I know. Oh, hi. Oh, hi.
10:10Because you can see just how loving and kind she is. That's why we have Jocky.
10:16And we've been in the shelter for a few hours and you can already see what a difference it is.
10:20She's already starting to come out her shell more. Good girl.
10:23Oh, we love Jocky. It's all going great. But then we got a call from the vets.
10:28Hello. How's Becca?
10:30Hi. It's fine. We just finished. We took a few x-rays of her foot. Looking at her,
10:36the digit that isn't affected where she's got the wound, the ulcer at the bottom.
10:41There is some extra bone growing around the bone over there, but the bone itself doesn't look like
10:49it's been dissolved or have any specific problem in the bone itself. It's just the surrounding.
10:56Also, the other digit is a bit affected with some bony growth around it. So I took two biopsies
11:03from her foot. And then I think we wait until we know what's going on. I can see that she's
11:09got an
11:09injury in that foot and that can be all related. But just before, you know, going into that direction,
11:16we want to rule out any other possibilities. Okay. That makes sense.
11:21The moment her leg is all bandaged, we will need to see her every three days to remove the bandage,
11:29have a look, make sure everything is healing well and put another bandage on. Okay. Okay.
11:35I think she's putting a lot of pressure on that area and that's why the wound is there.
11:40So hopefully with a lot of padding with the bandage, the wound will have a chance to heal.
11:46I think she would be ready probably around 4.30 to go home.
11:50Yeah, that works fine with us.
11:51See you then. And the results for the biopsy takes about a week to take the results back.
11:56So we'll need to be patient. Okay. Okay, fine. Thank you. Okay.
11:59Thank you so much for the call.
12:00Great. We'll see you later.
12:02Thank you. Bye bye.
12:02So it doesn't sound like great news.
12:05We're going to go and pick Becca up and properly update you guys on what the situation is.
12:14Oh, look at her bandage.
12:17Yeah, Becca. She looks adorable.
12:19She looks out of it. She'll be sleeping a lot.
12:21You look at the bones. So if you look at this bone.
12:24Yeah.
12:25Can you see that this is straight other edges?
12:28Yeah.
12:28Yeah.
12:28But when you look at this bone, look what happens here.
12:31Oh my god.
12:31So there's a bit of trouble in here.
12:34Do they use the same?
12:35Do you think?
12:36There's some classification there.
12:38Yeah.
12:40Look at her.
12:44She's walking good though.
12:46Well done, Becca.
12:47Look at her.
12:49Oh, poor.
12:51It's making me so sad.
12:53Right.
12:53Come on then, Becca.
12:55Go on, dogs. Out, out.
12:57Moki, calm down.
13:00Oh, look at her paw.
13:03She's our little warrior.
13:05So we've come back from the vet.
13:06We've just taken Becca out for the first time since we came back.
13:10I think Jocky is scared of her paws to come in.
13:13So we've had to put this plastic cover on her paw so that every time she comes outside,
13:21we can't get like her bandages wet because they've done the biopsy test on her.
13:26They've taken some of her paws.
13:28So it's left like, I think a couple of scabs.
13:30Wounds.
13:31A couple of wounds.
13:32Sorry, yeah.
13:32It's left a couple of wounds.
13:33So she cannot get that wet.
13:36We also have to obviously put her on a lead every single time she is out because she can't
13:41come running around.
13:42Come on, Becca.
13:42I've written down a list of sort of like everything that's happened with her,
13:45what the vet says so that we can actually get everything correct to tell you guys.
13:49Yeah, they took a biopsy for her and we are going to get the results back in a week.
13:53The biopsy apparently is basically just going to help give us like a better idea of if there's
13:57any infection or anything like that in her paw.
13:59We did luckily, last minute, look at Jocky, decide to do an x-ray of her paw.
14:05And we're really glad that we did.
14:06Because when we checked the x-ray, you can see from this video here, she's got like extra bone growing.
14:13So where the cut was on her paw pads, there are swelling on that toe.
14:17And obviously you've seen from before her paw is a lot bigger.
14:21Turns out it's actually just her toe that is like super swollen.
14:25And so basically we've got to wait for one week for the biopsy results to come back.
14:31Basically a long-term solution to her not being in pain will be to amputate the one toe that is
14:39causing her problems. We've got to take her back to the vets every three days to change the bandage,
14:45look at the stitches. And she's also got some antibiotics as well.
14:50The thing that kind of made us like really sad was like she was in pain.
14:54Every time she was stepping on that toe, like it hurt her.
14:57And so obviously it hasn't been fixed yet, but at least now we know what the problem is.
15:02So the painful part, this did end up coming to just under a thousand pounds.
15:07As painful as that was, honestly, like that's probably one of the best thousand pounds that we've ever spent.
15:14Because it makes us really sad to think like she was in pain when she was walking.
15:18We've got some antibiotics for her, so hopefully she won't be in too much pain.
15:21But at least now we know exactly what the problem is.
15:24Hopefully there's no further complications with the biopsy.
15:27But this is probably the perfect time to tell you guys about the whole reason like we're doing this
15:32is because we're trying to raise 30,000 pounds for Happy Shelter,
15:37which is the charity that all of these dogs came from.
15:40So if you would like to support us, then the best way to be able to do that will be
15:45donating to Happy Shelter.
15:47You can scan the QR code on screen or there's a link in the description.
15:52And we're also going to check top donations.
15:55Sorry if I'm not as enthusiastic as normal.
15:58I feel like really sad for Becca.
16:01After this, we're just going to get her to rest.
16:02We've also put all the dogs in the conservatory
16:04because obviously we don't want them playing and Jocky's okay.
16:08Jocky's fine to be here.
16:09So I've just checked donations and we are at 14 and a half thousand pounds raise,
16:14which is insane, like incredible.
16:17Thank you guys so much.
16:18Top donations are still Mikel, Anonymous, Ashley and Phillip.
16:22And we're just going to give a little shout out to some of the smaller guys as well.
16:25We did actually see this in a comment because, you know, every little helps like it all accumulates.
16:30So we've got Rosalie with nine pounds.
16:32We've got Adrian with 37 pounds, Joe with five pounds, Richard with seven pounds,
16:37like a massive thank you to even all of the small donations, like every little helps.
16:41So that does mean we are also really close to hitting our next goal, which is 15,000 pounds.
16:48Once that does happen, we're going to take a dog to the pet store,
16:50and they're going to help us choose like toys and treats for all of the dogs here,
16:54which will be amazing.
16:55So if you guys can donate to help support us with Becca,
16:59even though funds do go to Happy Shelter,
17:01and also to be able to give all of these dogs an amazing life here,
17:04and of course go into their forever homes.
17:07Good girl, she is exhausted, bless her.
17:10So we're now going to take her inside so she can get some rest,
17:13and we'll see you guys tomorrow for another video.
17:21We'll see you guys tomorrow.
17:22Bye.
