00:00This is Lola, a mum we rescued a week ago.
00:03Her and our Doberman are not getting on.
00:09So today we're going to really focus on these two
00:13to try and get them to become best friends.
00:16But we're starting off our day picking up poo
00:18and we've got typical UK weather too.
00:21Ah, this is the best way to start a day.
00:24After picking up the poo, we fed all the dogs breakfast
00:27and boy, they're really starting to come out their shell now.
00:50We took Lola and Ivy out on a walk yesterday
00:53and here's a short story of Becca destroying my headphones.
00:57You can see here, this is Becca walking out with them.
01:00She decides to have a little chew on them
01:02and then guess who comes out?
01:04Jockey, our terrified rescue dog.
01:07Apparently isn't so terrified when she's alone.
01:11So then she decides to have a chew on them.
01:13At one point, they tag team on both destroying my headphones.
01:17Becca then takes them to the middle of the garden
01:19and here's when I come back, realise she's chewed the headphones
01:22and recorded this clip to show you guys.
01:25Just come back from the walk and Becca has been chewing on my 250 pound headphones
01:30that I like to use when I edit for you guys.
01:33Thank you, Becca.
01:35Thing is, this is my fault because I left it exactly where she could easily take it.
01:40Ah, so annoying!
01:41But that's not all that happened yesterday either.
01:45It was the evening time and Becca is really starting to show us her paw is feeling better
01:50because this is her convincing Kobe to play and then going absolutely crazy with Moki.
02:04These rescues are really starting to come out their shell
02:07and we want to make sure we progress them every single day.
02:11So before we try and get Moki and Lola to become best friends,
02:14we've got our professional behaviour consultant Dilnaz to do some awfully training with Lola.
02:20We have to teach her what recall means, so what the word come means.
02:24We need to set that first.
02:26Not uncommon, she's not checking in, which is something we need to work on as a key part of recall.
02:32So checking in is where your dog turns around and looks at you to see where you are.
02:35And at the moment she's not really doing that, she's just checking out the environment.
02:40So I'm going to start the recall. Lola!
02:42So I'm going to put a treat down, I'm going to move away, put a treat down, move away.
02:50It's amazing watching Dilnaz doing her thing.
02:53You can see how much positive training she does with the dogs.
02:56She's really good at making training a fun game for them.
02:59Lola! Come!
03:05Lola, come!
03:06And that's how you start to set it.
03:08Dilnaz then goes on to a second part of off-lead training where she throws a treat to let Lola
03:14chase.
03:15As soon as her body turns towards me, I mark and throw. Yes!
03:21She's missed it, that's okay, I'll show her.
03:24Yes!
03:25And we can build up distance and speed and this teaches our dogs we're more fun than the environment.
03:31Ella then has a go at this too.
03:34Nice, you've built up a bit of distance.
03:37Yes!
03:37Very good.
03:40Yes!
03:42Brilliant Ella, good use of distance adding.
03:45Yes!
03:46Absolutely brilliant.
03:46Any questions?
03:47No, she's doing really well.
03:49Really impressive.
03:49Yeah.
03:50Then Dilnaz got out a toy to see if Lola was interested.
03:53The idea here was to play some tug with her to make a fun game coming back.
03:57She liked the chase of the toy but ultimately wasn't that interested which Dilnaz said is fine.
04:03Every dog is different.
04:04We then brought Ivy out, Lola's daughter, to do the same training.
04:08So put it down.
04:10Ivy, come!
04:12Ivy, come!
04:16Ivy, come!
04:18Ivy, come!
04:19Now the caller.
04:20Ivy, come!
04:29Ivy, come!
04:38She is so fast.
04:39She is so fast.
04:41She is so fast.
04:42Ivy, come!
04:44Yeah, good girl.
04:45She's a bit cautious so I'm going to let her sniff and then I'm just going to trail
04:49it.
04:49Yeah, good girl.
04:50Oh, yes.
04:51So we're just teasing her a little bit and letting her grab at it if she wants to.
04:57Good girl.
04:58She's not that interested right now either.
05:00She's like, what is that?
05:01And then Dilnaz gives us another technique for recoil training called the FOMO technique.
05:07Now this one I loved.
05:09I'll let Dilnaz explain how she did it and it was just hilarious to see how this worked.
05:14I'm just going to mooch around.
05:15Let her mooch.
05:19Ivy, look at this.
05:21What's that?
05:23FOMO.
05:24So I'll keep her distracted here and then you go.
05:27Oh.
05:29Oh, wow.
05:30What's that?
05:33It's, it's, it's on the floor.
05:35It's on the floor right there.
05:37Oh, it's there.
05:39We really enjoyed this training session, but now training is done with Lola and Ivy.
05:43We're going to go back into the house with all the dogs.
05:47So the reason we have so many dogs is because this entire series that we're doing is a fundraiser
05:53for Happy Shelter.
05:54I'm going to let you know how you can donate later on in the video.
05:57But if you can't afford to donate, we have something for you.
05:59You can simply click that subscribe button on YouTube to donate a penny.
06:03You can donate another penny by following us on Instagram.
06:06We're going to be posting every single day on there.
06:09You can even scan the QR code and it will take you right there.
06:11And you can donate a third penny by scanning the QR code and adding us on Snapchat too.
06:17You alright there Ivy?
06:18She's so content, isn't she?
06:19Oh yeah, and if you live in the UK and are interested in adopting any of these dogs,
06:24all of their links to do so are in the description down below.
06:27Now let's get into how we think everything is going.
06:30So everything's going really well so far.
06:33This dog is really starting to come out her shell.
06:36She is the most terrified dog we've had, but she's really starting to become different.
06:41Come on Jockey.
06:42Now you can see she's a lot more interested now.
06:44Nowhere near as scared and it's just amazing progress in such a short space of time.
06:48These two crazy as ever.
06:49You've also got Becca who's starting to become even more crazy as well.
06:53And it's amazing because we've had these dogs for over a week now
06:56and they're really starting to come out our shell.
06:58But next week we do have another four dogs arriving.
07:02So that's when it's really going to start getting crazy.
07:05So now we're going to go to the shelter and show you a dog who's special
07:09because she's actually the sister of one of the most viral dogs we've ever rescued.
07:15How about you okay?
07:16This is Heidi.
07:18And Heidi is super, super special.
07:20Because if she looks a little bit familiar, she is actually Heidi.
07:24She's actually Amara's sister, which is insane.
07:27She's around one years old.
07:28She's not the friendliest with other dogs.
07:30So she does need to be an only dog.
07:33If you don't know who Amara is, this is Amara.
07:36She was one of the most terrified dogs we've ever had.
07:40And Heidi and all of her siblings, you know Amara as well,
07:44were basically found in the street from puppies.
07:48And Amara was just absolutely terrified.
07:50And it's so interesting because Heidi is like completely different.
07:53I mean, right now she's obviously just chilling out.
07:56But as soon as we come in, she's the one that wants pets.
08:00She's the one saying hello.
08:01And it's just so interesting to see how different she is to Amara.
08:04But you can really see the similar eyes between Heidi and Amara.
08:09So Heidi is ready to go to her forever home.
08:12She always wants love and affection constantly.
08:15She's dog selective because she goes up to other dogs and she'll wag her tail.
08:19Yeah.
08:20She's just happy being on her own.
08:22Yeah, she is dog selective, yeah.
08:24And as you can see now, obviously she's fine.
08:26But really, she'll probably be better at being an only dog home.
08:29She's a good girl, aren't you Heidi?
08:33She's like, yeah, this is what I've been waiting for.
08:35You're a good girl.
08:36All the fun.
08:37Oh my gosh.
08:38Oh, there she goes.
08:43There she goes.
08:45Oh.
08:47Yep.
08:48And then you've got this one.
08:49Yes, hello.
08:50Look at that tail.
08:54She's a very loving girl, aren't you darling?
08:57Very loving.
08:57It's so interesting how different she is to Amara.
08:59I know.
09:02And it's now getting attacked.
09:04With love.
09:06Come on then.
09:08There you go.
09:09This is her personality.
09:12Really coming out.
09:13So this is what we mean by she can be selective.
09:15Because this dog she's completely fine with.
09:17In fact, she's literally laying with them.
09:19Alright, we're trying to put the collar on Heidi.
09:20Good girl, there you go.
09:21Try it out.
09:22Good girl.
09:23Some pets.
09:25Good girl.
09:26Good girl.
09:28Good girl.
09:29Good girl, Heidi.
09:30Oh, it's huge.
09:31Wow.
09:33She needs to make it as small as she's frozen.
09:36Oh, she's freaking out.
09:37Oh, she's gone with submissive.
09:39Okay.
09:40Good girl.
09:42She's...
09:44Alright, so we did manage to...
09:46She's wagging her tail still.
09:49And we managed to get a collar on her.
09:51She looks absolutely adorable.
09:53Oh, you big bub.
09:57Oh, you big bub.
09:58Oh, you big girl.
10:00She looks adorable.
10:02Oh, yeah.
10:03Oh, look at her.
10:04You look so pretty.
10:05Yeah.
10:05Heidi is adorable.
10:07But now we're going to really focus on getting Moki and Lola to become best friends.
10:13And we're going to be doing this by walking Moki and Lola together alone, if that makes sense, for the
10:20first time.
10:21We've also got a long lead with us so we can continue Lola's off lead training.
10:25And that should be fairly easy because Moki's recall is good.
10:29I know as I say this, she's going to show us up now.
10:32But we thought this is a perfect way for these two to bond after that little fight they had.
10:41Okay, so first thing we're going to try and do with her is we didn't do the FOMO training with
10:46Lola.
10:46Obviously, we did it with Ivy.
10:48And so Ella's going to kind of like go onto the floor, pretend she's seen something and she's going to
10:52say it for Lola and Moki.
10:54And hopefully they both come running.
10:55Wow.
10:56What's this?
10:57Wow.
10:59Wow.
11:00What's this?
11:01Wow.
11:03Moki, what's this?
11:04Good girl.
11:06Wow.
11:07Wow.
11:07Wow.
11:08Moki, Lola, what's this?
11:11Oh, good girl.
11:13Wow.
11:14What's this?
11:15Okay.
11:16Lola's distracted.
11:17And that's okay.
11:18I think I got the timing wrong.
11:19Obviously, we're not going to get it perfect every time.
11:22We're not Dilnaz.
11:23Dilnaz is very good at this.
11:25Wow.
11:26Oh my God.
11:26What's this?
11:29Good dogs.
11:31Okay.
11:31So I think I've now realized that I was messing up because I was walking.
11:35So Lola was getting distracted.
11:37So I kind of like let her explore, let her sniff and then I'll stop.
11:40And then once she's not distracted, then I'll do it.
11:42Wow.
11:43What is this?
11:45Good dogs.
11:46Okay, let's just go and enjoy the walk and let these two bond.
11:52Come.
11:54Oh.
11:55Lola.
11:56Come.
11:59Lola.
12:00Come.
12:01Come.
12:01I love how Moki's just got no idea what to do.
12:05Lola.
12:05And we've now gotten to a point where Lola's recall training is already like this.
12:11I have to wait.
12:11She's sniffing.
12:12Lola.
12:12Come.
12:14Yes.
12:14Wow.
12:16That is so good.
12:17And Moki.
12:18Moki doesn't get a treat for running.
12:22That is so good.
12:24Again, again, again.
12:26Lola.
12:27Come.
12:28Wow.
12:30Good girl.
12:31Moki, come.
12:32That is so good already.
12:33Yes.
12:34Good girl.
12:35That is so good already.
12:37Good girl.
12:38Come on.
12:38Good girl.
12:39Dilnaz is a magician.
12:41So something like this is going to be really good for the bonding of these two because they'll
12:45associate being together as something positive, like a walk and treats.
12:49And so, yeah, hopefully this works and these two will become best friends.
12:53So that went really, really well.
12:56Lola's recall training has come so far already, but now we're going to go home and continue
13:01the bonding experience for Lola and Moki.
13:04The next bonding experience we're going to do is with some treats because there's no
13:08better way to bond than over some food.
13:10And if Jocky wants to be in here, she can because she was terrified and she's starting
13:15to come out of her shell and she's just really cute.
13:18Yes.
13:21Oh, good dog.
13:23Do you want to give some to Jocky?
13:24Yeah.
13:24With your hand.
13:26Jocky.
13:28Lola, can you get Lola's attention?
13:29Lola.
13:31Good girl.
13:31Go Jocky.
13:32Oh, she's just...
13:34Good girl.
13:35So we're not going to get them to eat out of the same hand because obviously we don't
13:38want them fighting over food.
13:40Oh.
13:41Yes.
13:42But again...
13:43Oh, let me give something to Jocky.
13:44I was going to say, you have to take a big handful.
13:46Okay.
13:47Jocky girl.
13:48Good girl Lola Monkey.
13:50Good girl.
13:51But once again, them doing this is going to associate something positive with being together.
13:56All right.
13:56So now is the time of the day where we're going to be checking donations.
14:00Oh my God.
14:02A little over eight and a half thousand pounds raised.
14:07That's insane.
14:08I mean, yesterday we were at just under 5,000.
14:12Wow.
14:13Thank you guys so much to everybody that has donated.
14:17We are now nearly 30% towards our 30,000 pound target.
14:21And we've got some new top donors.
14:23We've got Mikel who has donated 532 pounds, which is an insane amount of money.
14:29So thank you so much to Mikel.
14:32We've got Philip who's donated 200 pounds.
14:34That's also insane.
14:36We've got Francesc who's donated 186 pounds and Karen who's donated 174 pounds.
14:42Thank you so much to everybody that has donated.
14:45And since we have passed our first donation target, which was 5,000 pounds.
14:50That means that every dog here is going to get a high reward, long lasting chew.
14:54Thanks to you guys.
14:56So before we give the dogs their chews, we're actually close to hitting our next donation
15:00target of 10,000 pounds.
15:02And that's where you guys will vote on one dog to have an entire spa day with us.
15:07So if you guys could donate, that would be absolutely amazing.
15:10Let's get to our next target of 10,000 pounds so that we can give one of these amazing dogs
15:15a spa day.
15:16Now let's go and give these dogs some high reward chews.
15:19Okay, so we have got a whole bunch of like raw food here.
15:24We've got buffalo skin for Kobe and Moki, fish skin, pig's ears.
15:28Don't even know what that is.
15:29Chicken feet, don't even know what that is.
15:31So what we're going to do now, Moki's very excited,
15:34is we're going to separate all the dogs, like put them in crates and stuff
15:38because obviously we don't want them fighting over food.
15:40And then we're going to let all the dogs enjoy their long lasting reward chew, thanks to you guys.
15:45The dogs, as you can see, are very excited to get their chews.
15:51Okay, so it's duck feet apparently, not chicken for Ivy.
15:57Oh, Lola's also got a duck foot.
16:07What is amazing about what you guys have done here is the fact that this is what the dogs are
16:13like in Happy Shelter.
16:15And obviously because there's so many dogs there and there isn't loads of places to put them,
16:19it means that they've probably never had these long lasting high reward chews before.
16:26So this is quite literally going to be the first time all of these dogs have had anything like this.
16:32So we're going to give this one to Jockey.
16:34Now Jockey hasn't actually got many front teeth.
16:37You can see in this photo, she is missing some.
16:40So we tried to go with something that is actually quite soft.
16:43Although it doesn't look it, it is actually pretty soft.
16:46Oh, look at her.
16:48And then lastly, we have got Kobe and Moki who have got, what is this again?
16:53Calf skin.
16:54Calf skin.
16:55Kobe, come.
16:55Yes.
16:57Yes.
17:00And so obviously Kobe and Moki have had some of these before,
17:03but like the fact this is the first time these dogs have had anything like this.
17:06I mean, look at Jockey, she is going nuts for it.
17:11Oh, that makes me so happy to see.
17:13So guys, once again, I just want to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who
17:19has helped donate.
17:21And because of you guys, these dogs are getting some high reward chews.
17:25Becca has literally already finished hers.
17:27I think we underestimated the chewing ability of this dog.
17:31I mean, she's a lot bigger than Lola and Ivy.
17:33So we are going to give her another one.
17:36Here you go, Becca.
17:37Here you go.
17:38You guys have made this happen.
17:40Look at them.
17:42They're all loving it.
17:44Thank you so much to everybody that has donated.
17:47Oh yeah.
17:47And by the way, if you're able to donate, you can find the GoFundMe link in the description.
17:52Also as a pinned comment, or you can scan the QR code to donate.
17:56In tomorrow's video, we're going to take Becca to the vet to get a checkup on her paw.
18:01Hopefully things are looking a little bit better.
18:03I'll see you then.
18:05Bye.
18:07Bye.
18:08Bye.
18:09Bye.
18:10Bye.
