00:00As Venezuela continues its recovery from the June 24th twin earthquakes, temporary camps across Caracas are providing comprehensive assistance to
00:07displaced families while authorities oversee the expansion of essential services.
00:13Our correspondent Belén de los Santos brings us more details.
00:18Hello, studios. How are you? We continue moving around Caracas, visiting the different transitory camps that are part of the
00:26effort of the Venezuelan state and also of its own communities to give all the assistance and support, particularly to
00:34the affected population affected by the twin earthquakes of June 24th.
00:38In this moment we are at the Paz Castillo School in the La Pastora neighborhood and while we're speaking right
00:45now we are actually at one of the rooms of the transitory camp that is now being built on in
00:51order to build a dining center and right behind me there is a meeting taking place.
01:08We are here for over two hours now speaking to every representative of the different areas.
01:15Let's recall that the transitory camp includes the assistance not only of a place to sleep and eat for the
01:22people who are affected but also a place to get integral medical assistance with doctors that are working with the
01:30entire communities.
01:31Also the way of looking after the education, understanding the population that is coming here, where they are coming and
01:40giving them an all-round integral support and the minister was just going around every sector talking to doctors, to
01:48teachers, to the people in charge of every area to understand how the transitory camp is being, it's functioning, it's
01:56being set up and it's working with the surrounding community
01:59to really give the support to the incoming population.
02:03That is what is happening here and in all transitory camps here in Caracas, in La Guayra and also in
02:09other sectors, effect detectors of Venezuela.
02:11We wanted to show you a little bit of the behind the scenes, how are these places functioning right now
02:18to attend the population who were affected by the tragedy of June 24th.
02:23I go back to you now.
