00:00And one of the comprehensive medical care days is underway at the Francisco Pimentel Transitory Camp in Caracas
00:06with Venezuelan and Cuban specialists dedicated to caring for those most affected by the June 24th earthquakes.
00:13Let's take a look at the story.
00:16At the Francisco Pimentel Transitory Camp in Caracas, health is a priority.
00:21Today, those responsible for the medical service have coordinated a comprehensive care day
00:25with the visit of different specialists to assist anyone who needs it.
00:33This is the continuation of the health support process that begins the moment each affected person arrives at the camp.
00:44We welcomed them to their physical history, their individual history and family history.
00:49That allowed us to profile the patients who were at our center
00:52and then refer them to the different units or specialties required by their conditions.
00:56This allows us to provide timely and appropriate care to every patient who is in our transitory camp.
01:05Jorge is a Cuban physician and a language specialist.
01:09He has been a part of Cuba's medical mission in the country for years.
01:12Today, he stands with the Venezuelan people in this moment of greatest need.
01:19Language is the expression of how a human being is doing.
01:23Whether they are emotionally strong, whether all their processes are functioning.
01:27That is where our work of guidance comes in,
01:30explaining how we are going to face the situation we are experiencing at this moment.
01:35Those spending their days at the camp are grateful for the dedication and human support
01:40they have received in this context.
01:44I have to get a kidney ultrasound.
01:46They have taken great care of us here.
01:48They have helped us.
01:49Look, they're going to take us to the Montalban CDI clinic now to have the ultrasounds and x-rays done.
01:55They have taken great care of us here.
02:00Honestly, it's been really great.
02:01I'm only just now realizing there are several Cubans here, but everything has been great.
02:05I like the care.
02:07In this way, the Barrio Adentro mission, born from the joint effort of Cuba and Venezuela
02:11to bring medical care to every person in every community,
02:16today demonstrates the strength of this joint, solidary effort just when it is needed the most.
02:23We truly feel like members of this great family,
02:26members of the Venezuelan people to whom we owe great respect, dedication and love at a time like this.
02:34It is a unique experience, and I feel proud to be here giving the best of myself,
02:42as does the entire Cuban medical mission that is representing us in this country.
