00:00Temporary camps, more and more initiative are emerging to provide comfort and a moment of peace to those who suffered
00:06the most from the effects of the double earthquake.
00:09Let's watch the following story from El Coche, Caracas.
00:14Three weeks after the double earthquake in Venezuela, the transitory camps set up across the country are providing a safe
00:21space for those most affected.
00:26It's a place to eat and sleep. The community works every day to offer moments of peace to those who
00:32survived the worst.
00:34That is what this beauty corner at the Pedro Emilio Call transitory camp in Caracas is all about.
00:41We're offering eyebrow shaping and free haircuts in exchange for a hug.
00:45That hug is the only payment accepted here. And the women who come take advantage of the space to forget,
00:52if only for a few moments, the events of June 24th.
00:58You know, something different, something to take our minds off what happened.
01:04And, well, here we are.
01:06The volunteers, workers from El Valle Parish, who decided to donate their time and skills, highlight the satisfaction of bringing
01:14joy in the midst of the situation.
01:17I think it's
01:20something we should do as human beings.
01:23It's truly rewarding.
01:26Yes, it's rewarding, it's enriching, and, well, it's really beautiful.
01:30It's a win-win situation. You give love and you receive love.
01:34The joint effort underway across the country is being led by local community leaders, state institutions, and private collaborators.
01:41The goal is clear. To help people through this painful experience with the love that the community provides.
01:51We provide care for our guests because at this moment, they are our guests.
01:55We are here to care for them, protect them, embrace them, and give them shelter.
02:00It has truly been a wonderful experience for us to have the opportunity to take care of them.
02:08I'm truly very grateful to God and to all the people who support these places at a time like this.
02:14Yes, honestly, it's really nice here.
