00:02Jai Gurudev, all of you.
00:04Jai Gurudev.
00:05So, you have any questions? I'm looking for that person.
00:09No one has any questions.
00:12You first learn all the mantra.
00:18So, ask your question.
00:22Yes, there is a mic, otherwise you have to scream.
00:30Hello? Okay.
00:31Can you please stop all the people from there, even...
00:40Jai Gurudev, Guruji.
00:42So, the question I want to ask is,
00:47we all find passions in our lives,
00:51and sometimes those passions even get us closer to the Divine,
00:55at least I feel so with some of them.
01:00But, once you get better at them,
01:03sometimes the ego can destroy a bit of the joy.
01:09And I wanted to ask you,
01:10how can we deliver every accomplishment we make to you?
01:18and how do we gift everything to you?
01:24You see,
01:27chapter 3, verse 35 of Bhagavad Gita,
01:31Krishna
01:33gave a beautiful verse, you know.
01:37He said,
01:39He said,
01:39it's better one does one's duty,
01:43even if there is fault into it,
01:47but they do it
01:50by doing somebody else's duty.
01:54It's rather you died while performing your duty,
02:01than
02:03died doing somebody else's duty.
02:07It's so beautifully, this verse,
02:10because, you see,
02:11very often
02:13we pretend,
02:15you know.
02:18We pretend
02:21to be which we are not.
02:23We like it, you know,
02:25because when we have the image of how other people look at us,
02:30you know, it brings something good inside of us, you know,
02:33the ego is very happy about it, you know.
02:36So, here Bhavan Krishna makes it clear, you know,
02:39in spite of different kind of experience that one goes through, you know,
02:46different ways that one goes through, you know,
02:50different happening in one's life,
02:54we are all different.
02:56You know, this is the beauty of
03:00in spite of being born all the same way.
03:05But yet, we have a – the body is different.
03:09Our mind is different, no?
03:12So, our experience also will be different.
03:16It will not be the same.
03:18So, here Bhavan is reminded that
03:20we have to do everything
03:23what we feel good into.
03:26If we try to copy somebody else,
03:31it will not last for long.
03:33Soon or later we will become miserable.
03:38So, here again he said that do your duty,
03:40do whatever has been prescribed to you
03:43as the basic of your nature itself, you know.
03:46So, your basic of nature, that will call you to your dharma,
03:49what you have to do.
03:52And it's better to do it like that than doing something else.
03:56So, here what he is reminding also what is the dharma of a devotee itself, you know.
04:04A dharma, firstly, other human being is to realise that relationship that we have with God.
04:12This is the ultimate dharma.
04:15That is our own personal swadharma, we call it, no?
04:18It is our basic nature itself of the atma to have a relationship with Paramatma.
04:28That we can't escape.
04:30We may escape through it, but we still fall back into that cycle of birth.
04:34We can't be free.
04:36Because we don't understand that our relationship is not towards maya.
04:42Our relationship is towards the ultimate, the Supreme Lord Himself, you know.
04:48That is our aim, actually, as atma.
04:52And in spite of that, in the outside world we play different roles.
04:57You know, very often people play very holy roles, you know, people on the spiritual path especially,
05:03you know, they like to pretend to be too holy.
05:13Well, holiness doesn't depend on the outside.
05:16It all depends on your relationship with God inside of you.
05:22It's not seen through the outside, but it is how you feel inside.
05:28Everyone is saying that this is the most important thing, you know, you have seen.
05:32Many, often people, they go on the spiritual path and they say,
05:39no, now I will have to leave the world completely, I will have to leave the job I was working,
05:46I have to be, to find a holy job.
05:49What is a holy job means I shall give advice to other people.
05:55You know, most of the people are like that, you know.
05:58They think that once you go on the spiritual path, you have to become
06:02the saviour of everybody else. First learn to save yourself.
06:05If you can't even save yourself, why are you saving somebody else?
06:10And this is completely wrong.
06:15Everyone is reminded that one in whatever prescribed, whatever duty is allocated to your basic nature,
06:23that's what you have to do.
06:26And when you do it with full hearted, you will enjoy it.
06:30Doesn't mean that problem will not arise.
06:32Problem will arise.
06:35But how you counter the problem, that will be completely different.
06:41Whereas, when the ego is running and doing somebody else's duty,
06:47the problem when it arises, what will happen?
06:49Your ego will feel hurt.
06:51You will feel devastated.
06:54You will never be able to move forward.
06:58That's what Krishna is reminding that, you see, now you are young,
07:03you have a different mindset, you know.
07:06So, you see, you are born into this world, you know.
07:10So, you are born with a certain goal, no?
07:16And in life very often what you do, you put this goal,
07:21you set this goal when you are still, when you still have that mind to reason about certain things.
07:29Okay, now I will study, I will go to university, I will learn,
07:33I will have my girlfriend, boyfriend, I will get married, I will have children, I will –
07:38you have a certain goal that you have set, no?
07:42And you have set it in a time level.
07:48You know, inside of you whether you are aware of it or you are not aware of it,
07:52you have set into that subconscious mind a certain timeline.
07:59And you base everything upon that timeline.
08:02That doesn't mean that it will happen. No?
08:07Very often it doesn't happen.
08:11Why it doesn't happen?
08:12Because it is not your dharma for that to happen in that way.
08:17You are based your experience, you are based what is happening upon somebody else's idea of how your life must
08:26be,
08:27how your happiness must be.
08:30Very often our parents have the idea.
08:33Of course, their parents have the ideas of how the children have to reach a certain level, you know,
08:39or to make them happy. But do we let them free
08:44to adventure into that journey of life itself? No, we don't.
08:49Because we project our own ideas upon them.
08:54So, what we are doing, what the parents are doing, they are projecting these ideas that the children must be
09:03how they want to be.
09:04Are they doing their dharma? No, they are not doing their dharma.
09:07Would the children ever be happy? No, they will not be happy.
09:10Soon or later they will rebel, they will find their way.
09:18They will go, they will grow.
09:21Then you will see that time when it comes, when you are growing, everything also changes.
09:29The way you view when you were small, you don't start to view it the same way.
09:35How you view it now, you will not view it in ten years.
09:40So, things keep changing accordingly.
09:43So, whether you go with the change or you are stuck into that old timeline.
09:51When you are stuck in the old timeline, there is no progression,
09:55there is no advancement, there is no contentment, there is no happiness, there is no joy.
10:01All the happiness, joy and everything else is based upon ideas of somebody else.
10:08Then Bhagavan Krishna said, if you rather died doing your own duty
10:13than doing somebody else's duty, it's much better.
10:16Why does He say that?
10:19He is uplifting you that you have a deeper dharma in life.
10:25Each person is individual.
10:28And tomorrow you will be parents, you know, your parents should support that individuality
10:33and that growth, that experience of life that their children
10:40will experience and will move forward, you know.
10:43It will be different.
10:46But what we like, we like to do the same thing.
10:50It doesn't happen like that.
10:54So, that's why, you see, spiritual life is a constant reminder of your inner potential,
11:03your strength,
11:05and especially about you being a human being firstly,
11:10being an individual which is full of experience,
11:13full of difference,
11:15full of beauty.
11:17And that expansion must happen.
11:19Whether somebody accepts that to happen or not,
11:23you are growing.
11:27So, that's what you have to do, you know.
11:30Then you will experience the Divine in anything.
11:34So, you don't need, you see, Chokamela was a chandal,
11:38which means he was somebody which was into the world doing the most terrible job.
11:47Chandala, you know, they lift corpse of dead animals, corpse of people,
11:52you know.
11:54He was doing that.
11:56That was his job.
11:58But how he was doing it? He was loving what he was doing.
12:03It's a job which not everybody would like to.
12:05But he loved his dharma, he loved his job.
12:10Because he said that whatever I am doing, I am doing for vital.
12:15So, Bhagavan came and gave him darshan there itself.
12:20To the extent,
12:23there was once a dog which was dead, a corpse, you know, a dead dog,
12:29and he was visiting Pandarpur having darshan of Vithala.
12:34So, the people, the Brahman was talking,
12:36when would this man come? Since he started going to Pandarpur, he is not doing his job properly.
12:43So, what happened?
12:45Vithala came and do the job for him.
12:48He carried a dead dog and cleaned it.
12:54So, imagine, Bhagavan Himself, those who do the dharma properly,
12:57He Himself come. You don't need to go to Him. He will come.
13:04So, that is the dharma that one will have to do, you know.
13:08So, get to know where your heart is pulling you,
13:13and where whatever you are doing you will find that joy,
13:18and whenever you find that joy in whatever you are doing,
13:21Guru and God is there.
13:28Anybody else?
13:32Come on.
13:38It works? Okay.
13:41Chikur Dev, my question is,
13:43sometimes when I am thinking about my spiritual life and things like this,
13:53I feel like a voice in my mind that says,
13:57why do you believe that it is all a lie?
14:01It cannot be real.
14:03I know, I believe it is real.
14:07I have seen you, Guruji, doing things that are over all of us.
14:14One time almost.
14:20And, so, why I have that voice that says to me,
14:24it's all a lie, it's not real.
14:26Well, the whole, we live in a world of lies, you know.
14:33We believe the lies everywhere else, no? Left, right.
14:38When you look at the world outside, do you think they tell you the truth?
14:42No. Those who tell the truth, they are being punished.
14:46Those who tell you have to grow and be yourself, what the world will tell?
14:52They say, no, don't.
14:53This is the same mindset, you see.
14:58So, we have been accustomed in a way of thinking, you know.
15:05Our way of thinking, what is the most productive? Positive or negative?
15:13Come on, tell me. Eh?
15:16How many of you say positive is productive? Eh?
15:21In the world I am talking about.
15:23Please use a little bit of your brain right now. Eh?
15:31Positive is not productive.
15:35Negativity is productivity.
15:38Negativity is placed on a throne and being praised all around. It is like that.
15:46And that mindset has been taught to you since you are small,
15:51that you can't, you are not allowed to.
15:55In spite of knowing the truth, you are so accustomed to that worthy way of thinking that
16:01that mind, like Sadea was saying, will rebel, no?
16:05That mind will say, no, no, no, no, in spite of experiencing it,
16:10how quickly you can have dementia and forget about it.
16:14I have seen people like that.
16:16They can spend years and years in the spiritual field, you know, have experienced it.
16:20We have experienced it many times.
16:22And quickly, for no reason, loss of memory, like Krishna said, you know, dementia happens.
16:29Spiritual dementia, they forget everything.
16:31All the experience that they have had become irrelevant of the life.
16:36What kind of fool is that? You know.
16:39But this is why by attaching our mind to that kind of mindset we forget very quickly.
16:47There was once a king, he went to the forest and was hunting.
16:54So, he started getting late, dark.
16:58So, realising that he's getting late, he tried to go out of the forest.
17:03So, what happened? He started running outside, you know.
17:09But then he started to listen.
17:11He started hearing wild animals all around.
17:16So, he started to get worried.
17:19What he did?
17:21He stopped and looked around.
17:25So, when he looked around, he noticed a light from a distance.
17:32So, he started running towards that light, said, okay, it's a hope, no?
17:37So, he started running towards that light.
17:42So, as he was running towards that light,
17:45opened the door of the hut,
17:49light was burning,
17:52and it was again the hut of a chandala,
17:58which is the hut of an untouchable person
18:01who do all the job that I told you earlier.
18:06So, inside there were bones piled in a corner,
18:11meat hanging there,
18:14and urine, faeces, and this was the most dirtiest place.
18:19So, when the chandala saw the king,
18:25he was worried.
18:27He said,
18:29my king,
18:31you can't be here.
18:35It's not a place for you.
18:40What did he do?
18:41The king said, no, no, no, I can't go back.
18:45I am here now.
18:47I want to stay just for one night. Let me stay.
18:50The place was made and the king stayed one night.
18:55He was happy. Next morning, the chandala, early morning, wake the king.
18:59Hey, wake up, king!
19:00You have to go to your palace, you have a certain duty to do.
19:04The king said, no, leave me.
19:06I want to stay one more night here.
19:11Stone smell and everything, you know, I want to stay one more night.
19:16Okay?
19:18He said, same stay one more night.
19:22Next day, again in the same scenario.
19:25After a week, the chandala said to the king, you have to go.
19:29The king became very angry,
19:34took out his sword, was ready to kill the chandala.
19:38You understand the story?
19:43The forest is Maya.
19:47The wild animal or all the beauties of the world, you know,
19:52all the temptation of the world itself, you know,
19:56spite of knowing the truth.
19:58The light, the heart of the chandala is the body itself.
20:08The king is the atma.
20:12So, we have so much accustomed in staying into that delusion
20:19of this body which is made up of bones,
20:24260 bones inside, you know,
20:27flesh,
20:28pieces, urine and everything else.
20:30We think that the body is everything.
20:32No?
20:34That's why we entertain the delusion of the mind.
20:40But sooner or later, you know, imagine, you know,
20:45you don't brush your teeth for two days.
20:49what will happen?
20:51Eh?
20:52Bad breath.
20:54Bad breath, yes. The person next to you will remind you, you are stinking!
20:59If you don't put perfume, you don't wash yourself,
21:04what will happen after four days? Your true nature becomes alive.
21:08Everybody will run away from you.
21:11You will stink.
21:13But yet, due to that we are so attached to this,
21:17we think that this is the ultimate reality.
21:21In spite of knowing the truth,
21:24we are still focused on the outside reality,
21:29you know, because we have been accustomed,
21:31like the king gets accustomed to the surrounding
21:35and gets attached to it.
21:37Like that also,
21:39we get attached to our ideas, you know,
21:43our ideas which very often is not from us, you see.
21:47Most of our ideas, you know,
21:4990% of one's ideas is from others.
21:55What we see, what we hear,
21:58it's ideas of others.
22:00It's not our own.
22:03And the 10% that stay, we can't even be creative about that.
22:085% you are sleeping,
22:09other 5% you are busy entertaining yourself into delusion.
22:14So, you see,
22:18that's why you get accustomed to it, you see.
22:22Then you have a choice whether you listen to the mind or you don't listen to the mind.
22:27The Chandra was there reminding the king, you are the king.
22:31No?
22:32There is always a reminder in life
22:37that you have to be wise to listen.
22:39Nobody can force you in anything.
22:43But reminder, nature itself will remind you.
22:47But you have to be aware of that.
22:52So, good.
22:55Jai Gurudev.
22:56Thank you very much.
