00:00And that mindset, sometimes it is lower or sometimes it is higher, no?
00:09But when you are in sangha, you are more strong.
00:15What is happening also, the karma which you go through life also gets transformed.
00:24That's what satsangas, you know.
00:27Sangat means gathering, where everybody comes together,
00:33but they don't come together to gossip or to chitchat, no?
00:38They come together to share something which they have deeper inside of them.
00:45So, each one of you have a certain experience, no, of life.
00:50Each one of you have a certain experience in your spiritual path.
00:53You come together to share it.
00:55By sharing it, by coming together, what is happening?
01:02The transformation.
01:04You see, whenever you are separate, you feel separate, you feel lonely, you feel depressed and so on.
01:10But when you come together, it's a different atmosphere, a different form, you know, that comes.
01:16There is more joy, more happiness.
01:19If there is conflict, that also gets removed.
01:22Because this is, why conflict?
01:25You know, very often you go everywhere, you find conflict.
01:28You know, in a small group you will go, you will find conflict.
01:31But conflict, if you keep it on, it's like a virus, it will eat you from inside out.
01:38But through sanghas, you come to remove it.
01:42Because you are one family.
01:45You may not agree with each another.
01:48You may not say, yes to each another, I love you, I love you, I love you.
01:53But nonetheless, when we talk about Vasudeva Kutumbakam, we are talking about the spiritual family which unites everybody.
02:03And that happened in sangha.
02:04And in sangha itself, if you are aware that how much karma is being worked out, it is amazing.
02:13Once there was a king, you know, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, he was giving satsang.
02:27So, one king wanted to know, you know, what is happening in sangha, you know, why satsang is important.
02:40So, that king asked Guru Nanak Dev Ji, please clarify it for me why satsang is important.
02:52If you can just live life normal like that and be happy mundanely,
02:57because this is what people look for, easy going, no?
03:02If you have to make an effort, it's very difficult, you know, for you to make an effort to come.
03:08Of course, today was special.
03:11But if I would not be here, many of you would not be coming. Yes or no? Yes.
03:15So, the effort of coming, there is an aim to that, you know.
03:21So, if you just sit, I think nothing works, life goes on mundanely.
03:29A dog is also sitting, but the dog is also working his karma.
03:35So, human beings have a certain advancement upon that because their karma works out.
03:44In satsang, the karma works out much more than general.
03:48When you are doing your sadhana alone, it's good.
03:55But when you are sanghas, you see and perceive the Divine and the people together,
04:01the devotee and God together.
04:04When you are alone, you perceive God alone.
04:06But when you are among devotees, you perceive God and the devotee together.
04:11So, the king wanted to ask, he asked Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, I will answer your
04:19question later on.
04:22So, that night, the king had a dream.
04:28In the dream, he dreamt that he was a very poor person.
04:37And he had a wife and he had several children.
04:43And life was very hard, you know, because you have to meet one end to the other.
04:52So, one day he was with his children under a mango tree.
04:59And the children were saying, Papa, Papa, give us some mango.
05:03And it was nice, beautiful mangoes were from the tree.
05:07So, he said, okay, I will go and get.
05:11So, he went up the tree.
05:12As he was going up the tree, he become and throw them down.
05:15They were all very nicely happy eating the mango.
05:17He also was eating the mango.
05:18But of course, you see, due to greediness, he wanted to go higher.
05:22So, when he went higher up, his foot got caught on one branch and he fell down from higher up
05:30the tree.
05:30And fell down on the floor and on the earth and died.
05:36So, when he fell down, he woke up, shocked, sweating.
05:43And he said, oof, that's a dream.
05:47He felt relief.
05:50Do you know that's a kind of dream?
05:52Eh?
05:55Oh!
05:56He felt relief.
05:58It was a dream.
06:03Next day, he went for darshan of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
06:09Bowed down to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
06:11Guru Nanak Dev Ji said, let's go for a walk in the forest.
06:15So, as they were walking in the forest, something happened.
06:21Their route departed.
06:23The king went one way and Guru Nanak Dev Ji went another way.
06:27And that day was super hot.
06:31It was extremely hot.
06:32So, the king was wandering alone in the forest.
06:36He was feeling thirsty, looking for a place, a river or a well to get some water to drink.
06:42No, it's fine.
06:43So, finally he found a village.
06:47And he approached the village near the well.
06:50The women were around taking water.
06:54And he went there and asked, can I have some water please?
07:01So, seeing that, seeing him, the women got so scared,
07:05they dropped the water and ran away, screaming.
07:08And he was shocked.
07:10He could not understand why.
07:11They were all running away.
07:13And a few minutes later,
07:18few kids came,
07:20five or six children came,
07:24and hugged him,
07:26and said, Father, Father, we are happy you are alive.
07:30He was super confused.
07:34And then later, a woman just come,
07:37and hugged him,
07:39said, my darling, you are alive.
07:41I am very happy.
07:43Praise God, but you are still alive.
07:49So, he was completely shocked.
07:52At the same time, Guru Nanak Dev Ji was coming.
07:55He ran to Guru Nanak Dev Ji,
07:57threw himself at the feet of Guru Nanak Dev Ji,
07:59and said, please save me.
08:02Who is this crazy woman?
08:04Who is this crazy kid?
08:06I don't have anything to do with them.
08:08Please tell them, I am the king.
08:12Then Guru Nanak Dev Ji said to them,
08:14listen, this is not your husband,
08:17this is not your father,
08:18this is the king.
08:21And they got shocked, you know,
08:23they apologized.
08:25And they said, then Guru Nanak Dev Ji said,
08:27your husband is dead,
08:29she is still at home,
08:29the body is there in your house.
08:31Let's go and see.
08:33So, to their amazement, when they reached the home,
08:36they saw
08:37but that body is same as the king,
08:41look alike.
08:44So, they apologized again and again.
08:47But the king was confused.
08:49He could not understand
08:52what is this, you know.
08:54So, he asked Guru Nanak Dev Ji to clarify it.
08:59So,
09:02in a click, Guru Nanak Dev Ji
09:06removed that delusion
09:08and he revealed to him that
09:13that was
09:14the next life of the king.
09:18Due to
09:21some desire he had,
09:23he must suffer like this for 40 years.
09:28So, through satsang,
09:30Guru Nanak Dev Ji has removed that life completely.
09:36That 40 years of misery,
09:39through the association,
09:43he has removed that karma,
09:46the future karma itself
09:48from the tree
09:49and made him free from that.
09:52And he has showed it to him.
09:54what sangha can make,
09:57what satsang can make.
10:03And this is
10:05the most important thing.
10:08When you come together, you are coming together as one family.
10:16and like I was saying, you know,
10:19like what Krishna said,
10:23enlighten each another.
10:26I know many will understand enlighten each another means bossing each another,
10:31let me tell each another what they have to do.
10:33because they think that I know better than the other.
10:37This is not that.
10:39Enlighten each another means to share.
10:43That's why, you see, you have the Bhagavad Gita, no?
10:47Take one passage and read and discuss about it.
10:51Share with each another what you understand about it.
10:57So that's what happens in sangha, sir.
11:01You become more strong.
11:05And support towards each another as one family.
11:11Okay, let it run, go.
