00:00So, and I don't see you, I just see a blank TV in front of me, probably it is, how
00:07say, the internet connection, it is working, but I don't see anything, I don't say it's working, I take his
00:17words, and I have faith in his words, because I don't know anything about computers, so it would have been
00:25nice to see all of you, but I see blank,
00:32so that would have made me more happy. Annoying, but you see, people are dedicated. When I see, like I
00:44said, I always praise my devotee, I know, I don't know other people devotee, but I know my devotee, how
00:51they are, you know, and for me,
00:58how dedicated they are, and how to see, but you all are just sitting there, you know, waiting, for sure,
01:07waiting or not waiting, but how quickly, even for the, for the satsang, for the darshan,
01:13and it fails so quickly, you know, it is amazing. And that really makes me happy, to see that there
01:27is a unity, there is a longing, there is a deep understanding for spirituality.
01:37And if that doesn't make me happy, I don't know what else will make me happy, you know, because for
01:42me, for me, I'm not, I am happy, like I said yesterday, in the satsang, I'm happy with myself, it
01:50doesn't matter, you know,
01:51you know, but to see my devotees, this is the most happiness, and that's why time to time, you know,
01:59I said, let's make a surprise darshan, you know,
02:03and so, and I see that that's what makes your faith stronger, you know, and that's what makes you stronger,
02:15but make you stronger, doesn't mean that the moment the satsang is finished, or the darshan is finished, you go
02:22back to your normality, no,
02:24Adivakya doesn't go back to normality, you know, when I hear that so many people, how, you know, I was
02:32talking with Aditya,
02:33I was saying how many people, who they invite through the seeds, I don't know, they invite through the, the,
02:41online darshan, through the, whatever seeds he's making,
02:47inviting new people, and how these new people, you know, seeing that the people are truly happy, it is indeed
02:57a different kind of happiness,
02:58happiness, which you don't find into the world outside.
03:03Now, once I was talking with one devotee, he said, Swamiji, since I met you, I'm happy for no reason.
03:12Very often people must find a reason to be happy, or must find a reason to be sad, but here,
03:19when you hear a devotee say that,
03:21I am happy without any reason, it is so beautiful.
03:30There must be no reason for that, you know, because that reason which the sangha, the gathering of devotees have,
03:40you know,
03:41there is only one thing that makes them happy, is the devotional service.
03:48And this is the most beautiful thing.
03:50And that's why I'm so happy, you know, to see the devotees uniting in sanghas also, you know.
04:00And seeing what the devotees are doing everywhere, you know, very often I hear, you know, all the groups, you
04:11know,
04:11they are joining to sing the name of God, you know, they send me videos, they send me pictures.
04:18It is amazing, especially right now in this time where everywhere there is lockdown, everywhere is so complicated,
04:27with so many rules and regulations, but yet, whether it is online or some places where it is still possible
04:35to gather some people,
04:36they manage to gather, and this is amazing, you know.
04:42They still, look, I was in Springen, we could not even do Kartik.
04:52Of course, we celebrate the Kartik, but we could not do it how we used to do.
04:57But yet, some other sanghas, you know, some other countries, the devotees have tried their best to do it.
05:05I went one time to Swami Anashriya's room, and Swami Anashriya actually sent me a video.
05:13He was dancing around a lamp in his room, and I was wondering, what's wrong with him?
05:22Then I called him, I said, are you alright, Swami Anashriya?
05:28What are you doing?
05:30Then he was laughing and telling me, no, they have a sangha,
05:35you know, they are doing online Kartik night with the Polish group.
05:41And of course, there was other videos also about the devotees also doing that.
05:47Each one was doing it from wherever they are, but they were all happy.
05:55They were singing the name of the Lord, they were singing the name of Krishna,
05:59and dancing in the tune of Krishna.
06:04And this is the beauty of sangha, you know.
06:07And the devotee can be anywhere in the world.
06:11Like right now, you can be anywhere in the world,
06:13but now I start to see all of you.
06:17But look at your face, man.
06:19If you could see from what I'm seeing, all of you have a smile on me, some of them.
06:24No, don't have a smile.
06:26I'm just smiling.
06:31And that is sangha, you know.
06:35That is how we are united.
06:37We are not united by anything else.
06:40We are united in the love of God, you know.
06:44We dance in the name of God.
06:46In His tune, we are dancing.
06:49When Giridhari is playing his flute,
06:51then this is how the devotees are dancing.
06:58So, that's why, you know, I'm so happy to see all the devotees growing, you know.
07:11Each one is growing in their faith.
07:14Each one is growing in their love inside of them.
07:17And this love and the faith, you can't keep it for yourself.
07:23It is like a wonderful suite that you have to spread it.
07:27You have to give it to others also.
07:32There's one martyr just face in front of me right now, you know.
07:36And Maria Magdalena is so sweet, you know.
07:42How I met her, I was telling that a few months ago.
07:50You know, when I went to Florence, how I went to her shop.
07:55Not knowing that all from there onward,
07:59every satsang and every darshan, she will be there.
08:03Like that, to see, you know.
08:07You, you, each one, how was your life and how you are now.
08:13I don't say that it is an easy path, you know.
08:17But yet, there is a certain strength inside of you.
08:26There is a certain radiance from your faith.
08:30There is a certain glow, you know.
08:33But when people look at you, they see that this person,
08:38they may say you are a bit crazy.
08:40But you have to be a little bit mad.
08:42Like Mirabai said, you have to be a bit mad to love God.
08:46You know, without the madness of loving God, you can't love him.
08:55So, and that's the madness that I see in you people.
09:01You know, I see in the devotees.
09:03That's what made me very happy.
09:06The madness of loving God.
09:08We are not in business with God.
09:12But we love him.
09:14And we don't love him because he will fulfill this wish, that wish or whatever.
09:20No.
09:21We don't love him because he is God, we have to fear him.
09:24You know, out of fear we should love him.
09:26No.
09:28We don't love him because he can fulfill all my wishes.
09:32No.
09:34We love him.
09:37Because that, who we are truly, he reminds us of, firstly, of who we are.
09:44And he reminds us of how close he is.
09:49And this is for love.
09:56So, that's why I am always happy to see the devotees, you know.
10:16What is your opinion on seeking help from psychotherapists when dealing with internal
10:26personal issues? Actually, look, if you have a certain issue then you can't handle it.
10:39Of course you can go and have help from whoever you want, you know, from psychotherapists.
10:49A few days ago somebody asked me a question similar to that, you know, saying that all
10:56the people, you know, who have clairvoyance, all these things. Can we really take that
11:04in consideration? And I said, well, look, when you meet somebody, whether it is a therapist
11:13or psychologist or psychotherapist, you know, one thing we have to put in our mind that you're
11:23going there to receive help. And very often there is also a personal issue. The answer
11:33that you get from them, it is also they have a certain issues into that. It is not everything,
11:43you know, they will tell you things also because, you see, the psychological state of a person
11:48person is like this. You are telling your problem to that person, that person identifies that
11:53problem within them. Then they can give them an answer to you. Which means that if you are
12:03going for seeking help of somebody, note that that person also will input in you part of himself
12:13or herself. Because they also are still searching. They don't have the whole, how say, they don't have the whole
12:27answer for the internal question.
12:32They can tell you about external things. External things is easy. That's what they identified with.
12:42But whereas internal things is sentient. It's very difficult. So, you see, in Bhagavad Gita, chapter 9, verse 9,
13:04Bhagavan Krishna said to Arjuna, Oh, the conqueror of wealth. I am not buying by any of my action. I
13:18remain like, like, I remain neutral.
13:22Neutral. All these remain a neutral observer and ever detached from this action. You see, which state this great psychotherapist,
13:43which is called Krishna, is.
13:48Krishna. You know, when you look how Arjuna was at the beginning of the war, and how he is after
13:57the war, is a complete different person.
14:00But Krishna doesn't have any personal interest in him. Krishna, whatever he does, like he said, I have created everything.
14:12But yet, you know, I remain like an observer. So, when we look at that, you bring to mind that
14:28him, the Lord who has created everything.
14:35But yet, he stayed apart from that. Try to understand what I'm saying right now, because it is very much
14:44connected to this question.
14:47Because, you see, people go to psychotherapists. Again, I repeat, very often, there is an identification of themselves into what
14:57they give to the people.
15:02So, often, you go to, with your problem, to these people. But what they tell you, they are telling you
15:10about their problem, from their, your problem, from their personal point of view.
15:16So, there is an attachment. There is a certain relation that binds the two together.
15:30So, on that verse, chapter 9, verse 9 of Bhagavad Gita, when Krishna said to that, all the action doesn't
15:40bind me.
15:42I am separate from that, what does that mean, saying that this whole material things of the world itself, everything
15:52that is created, you know, they are all inert and instant, you know.
16:01So, they are all inert and instant, you know. So, they are lifeless. There is no consciousness in anything.
16:09But, when the Lord looks at them, when the Lord graces them, then they become alive.
16:21Let's see our body itself, for example. With life, you are calling yourself alive.
16:30If you die, life departs from that body. The body may be there. Would you be there? No.
16:41Nobody will say that you are still alive. No. It will become just a body, nothing else. Without life, it
16:50is just a body. Without life, the tree will die. Without life, anything can't move.
17:00So, everything, through the grace of the Lord, becomes sentient, becomes sentient, becomes sentient.
17:08So, why I am telling you that, you know, for you to have a certain understanding that even if you
17:14are going to seek help from a psychotherapist, you know, what is inside of you, if you have a certain
17:26problem which is deep inside of you,
17:28Of course, people can give you a certain understanding from that. But, Bhagavad Gita will give you a deeper understanding
17:37of your internal issue more than anyone else.
17:45So, please, make a must to read the Bhagavad Gita. And not just reading it. Understand the Gita.
17:58In the deepness of it. In the deepness of it. In a simple way. And that will really remove all
18:07your internal issues.
18:15So, again, that doesn't mean that you can't go and receive help from somebody. You do go and receive help.
18:27Take the help. Analyze it.
18:29T'es tout gelé, là. Ah, t'as les papas glacés, là. Qu'est-ce que c'est ça?
18:32Stand on your feet. Don't become dependent on people which are trying to help you.
18:38Very often we become dependent, but we think that we can't live without their help.
18:45No. They are here to help you to stand on your feet.
18:51So, take the help and really make your effort. And it will not be an easy task to do, but
19:03also try to help yourself.
19:08Then it will become easy.
19:21I have been told that we should never put our feet towards a deity. Also, we should not turn our
19:30back to them.
19:33But my house full of picture of you and deities. How to behave. I'll tell you a story.
19:45Once Guru Nanak Genji went to a house of a certain person.
19:54And on the picture, on the wall, there was an image of the Kaaba.
20:02Kaaba? Qu'est-ce que c'est?
20:03The black square which the Muslim prayed towards.
20:06Aha. Thank you.
20:09There was a bed there. And Guru Nanak Genji was lying. And his feet were pointing towards the Kaaba. That
20:18picture.
20:21And when the owner of the house came, he saw that and he was very shocked and said,
20:27such a great saint you are, you don't know that you should not put your feet towards that picture.
20:36And Guru Nanak Genji said, well, please tell me a place where I will put my feet.
20:45Tell me a place where God is not. Then I will put my feet there.
20:52So, as he was on the bed, he stopped moving his feet around. And as he was moving the feet,
20:58the picture also was moving around.
21:00And then the man realized his mistake and fell down at the feet of Guru Nanak Genji.
21:07So, firstly, to your question, your house is full of pictures, so I will not tell you to stand and
21:16see.
21:18So, no, knowing, you see, you can, you have pictures everywhere, this is not a problem.
21:30But you see, why we say that you should never put your feet towards altar and deities, you know,
21:36when the Guru is present towards the Guru, you know.
21:39Because we bow down to the feet of the Lord, you know.
21:43The first thing that you do when you are in front of the Guru, what you do? You bow down
21:47to the Guru.
21:49When you're in front of the altar, you bow down in front of your altar.
21:52It's you who have to bow down your head in humility towards the deity.
22:00So, by you pointing your feet towards the deity, it is a sign of arrogance, a sign of pride.
22:12So, to avoid that offense, you know, we don't point our feet towards the deity, towards the altar.
22:24That doesn't mean that if there's pictures all around, you can't, you have to put your feet somewhere.
22:29But the deity which you're worshipping, you know, your vision or your main altar, you don't put it out of
22:36respect.
22:37And, of course, there is a story related to that.
22:42There was once a person which was studying under his Guru.
22:55And when...
23:02It is from...
23:05I think it's...
23:08...Maham Harat itself tells a story.
23:11And he was very arrogant in himself.
23:17So, once he was sitting in the Guru call, and the Guru came in.
23:22Everybody stood up and bowed down to the Guru.
23:25But him, he sat with his feet pointing towards the Master.
23:31And, of course, the Master noticed that.
23:33He didn't say anything to him.
23:39And he knew that he was arrogant.
23:42He was very proud of him.
23:44He said, okay, forgive him, let him forgive you.
23:47So, that...
23:48After the Master had left, Shiva appeared to him.
23:52And Shiva said to him, I cursed you to be a demon.
23:59Because your Master is so merciful.
24:02He has seen you putting your feet there.
24:06He has not said anything to you.
24:09He knows how arrogant you are.
24:11You have done that out of ignorance.
24:14But me, I could not stand that.
24:18I cursed you to become a demon due to that act which you have offence.
24:23The Guru.
24:26So, realising that, he became very sad.
24:30And he asked for forgiveness to Shiva.
24:32And Shiva said, I can't forgive you.
24:34It's done.
24:35It's done.
24:35So, he fell down at the feet of his Master and told everything.
24:39And the Master was so merciful.
24:41And said, look, I can't undo what Lord Shiva has done.
24:46But, I can bless you with one thing.
24:50I bless you.
24:51But, when you become a demon,
24:59the Supreme Lord himself will incarnate.
25:03And he will free you.
25:05So, it was a blessing, a curse in disguise, actually.
25:10So, he became, I think, a bull demon, you know.
25:25And then, of course, when he came to Brindavan to destroy Brindavan, you know, the Mataji, was running around and
25:37said, Krishna please save us.
25:38And Krishna came.
25:39Ah, I see so.
25:40And freed him from that curse itself.
25:45So, that's, is one story which is related to that, why one should not sit with the feet towards Deity
25:55and Guru.
26:00But, above all, you see, you don't do that out of respect for the Guru, you know, because you bow
26:07down to the Guru.
26:07You don't need to show, but the Guru has to bow down to you, you know.
26:14So, and also, the Guru doesn't need anything from, from, from anyone, you know.
26:21That's why the Guru bow down to the feet of the bull himself.
26:29Ok.
26:33Je teste le son, c'est bon.
26:35Now, if you have your heart full of pictures, it doesn't matter.
26:38You're not doing it out of, I say, out of arrogance or disrespectful.
26:50I have two friends who have never been able to get Darshan.
26:56They suddenly have various problems and rapidly changing their daily plans, which prevent them
27:08from receiving Darshan.
27:12You know, yesterday I was laughing with them here, because after the Darshan, I had a surprise Darshan.
27:19After the Darshan, I had many messages that, Guruji, we try so much to get Darshan.
27:25One person wrote to me from France, say, for months I'm trying to, to, to get Darshan.
27:31One person, it is not possible.
27:39So, I think, you see, when the time is right, it will happen.
27:48And also one thing is that can they really handle it?
27:53You know, maybe some people are just doing it out of politeness or some people are just doing it out
27:58of courtesy.
28:01Deep inside, they really don't want.
28:04Even if they show that they are changing the plan or anything, this has to be, this, a certain sincerity
28:10must be there also.
28:12Like one Mataji in the last Darshan was talking and said, you know, I was trying and trying and trying,
28:19till the last minute, and then it happened.
28:25Very often people just tried a little bit, and when it don't happen, they just let go, finish.
28:33Let, carries on, it's not happening, it's full already, whatever.
28:36No, you have to be persistent sometime.
28:40Like you are persistent on your spiritual path, you have to be persistent also if you want truly to have
28:45Darshan.
28:46And then Satsang, keep trying.
28:49If you don't have it one time, keep trying.
28:52Because more you try, more that frustration arises inside of you, better become.
29:04So, that I will say to you, keep trying.
29:20Why is humility commonly seen as a weakness and how we can react to it in a positive way?
29:35This is a question which many people ask, you know, because people confuse themselves,
29:44thinking if you are humble, you should let everybody trample over you.
29:50You should let yourself receive all beating.
29:55Which is not true.
29:57There is so many humble, great saints and sages.
30:02But when they have to stand for Dharma, they will be a different person.
30:09Like I am looking at them right now, they are looking at me.
30:12You see, I am very nice.
30:16I would not use the word I am humble or whatever, no.
30:19But when I have to be strict, I will be strict.
30:23I am talking for myself right now.
30:26You know.
30:27But that doesn't mean that I will just sit quietly and let stupidity go around.
30:34That I don't let it happen.
30:39But I don't do it in an arrogant way.
30:41You know, arrogant is when somebody is weak in themself.
30:48When we analyze it, you see, the world sees when somebody is weak,
30:54somebody is humble, they think that that humbleness is their actual weakness.
31:01But they see, opposite in the world, those which is barking like dogs,
31:07which express their ways, actually they are the one which is insecure in themselves.
31:15What they are doing, they are expressing their insecurity.
31:20You know, just like an empty vessel make lot of noise.
31:25You take a barrel which is empty, you can play all kind of music with lot of noise.
31:32But take a barrel which is full, you can't make noise.
31:36That's why the saints, they become quiet.
31:42They are simple, they are quiet because they know very well how the world thinks about, you know.
31:53So, people will take your humbleness, your quietness, your calmness as your own witnesses.
32:07Just play the game, don't bother about it, you know.
32:11Don't bother to explain to them anything.
32:14Because, you see, somebody is already full into their mind.
32:19To explain to them about something deep, they will not understand.
32:26It will be a waste of time from your side.
32:29Just be how you are.
32:32If they think that your humbleness is your weakness, let them think what they want.
32:37But never change yourself.
32:40Be always how you are.
32:43They appreciate you the way you are.
32:46They appreciate you the way you are.
32:56Learn.
33:00There is this beautiful story that I always say it about.
33:04I have said this story many times.
33:05There was once a snake who used to terrorize the people.
33:23So one fine day there was a sadhu that came into that village.
33:28And the sadhu was giving his satsang and talking.
33:33And of course, the people were gathering.
33:36And at the end, they asked the sadhu for one.
33:38Please help us.
33:39There is a snake outside the village.
33:42And it is very fearful.
33:43When we go to our farm, it's terrible.
33:45We can't really go at peace.
33:47We are so...
33:49How does it say?
33:51What is this?
33:52What is this?
33:53What is this?
33:56What is this?
34:16Transparency.
34:17Transparency.
34:24Transparency.
34:25And this time nobody was, let's say, scared of him because he has transformed, he has changed.
34:31What they do, they start abusing the snake, they start beating the snake.
34:37In one moment they beat the snake so much that it bruises the snake, it hurt the snake everywhere.
34:44And the snake went in his hole and was there.
34:47So after that same day, same times actually, the saint was coming back.
34:53And he was passing by the village and he was asking the people, I wonder how is the snake?
35:01So he went and meet the snake and he went there and he called the snake.
35:06And as the snake came very slowly out, when the sadhu saw the snake, he was heartbroken to see the
35:14state of that snake.
35:16He said, what happened to you, my dear friend?
35:18And the snake said, you told me to transform and I have to change.
35:25And that's what the people have done to me.
35:28And then the sadhu said to the snake.
35:32But I told you.
35:33Hey, of course.
35:33And I'll de Raupe.
