00:04Northern Territory, it is Sunday the 5th of July. This is your weather forecast for the week ahead.
00:08Overall, it is a relatively stable week. Down in the south we have some rainfall, some showers
00:15coming in the middle of the week as a trough in the upper atmosphere moves through. But
00:20winds are relatively light, moderate. There's some good spray conditions Monday, Tuesday and
00:25on Friday. Let's have a little look. So over on this side, on the right we've got wind gusts and
00:33on this
00:33side we've got daily rainfall. So Monday, nothing in the NT. Tuesday we can start to see that trough
00:39developing but not quite reaching until Wednesday. Here we go. So anywhere between zero and possibly
00:4610 mils more likely on the 5 mil end of the range. That continues in and moves across on Thursday
00:53but
00:54by Friday it's clear, same as Saturday and Sunday. Let's have a look at winds. So really gusts at
01:01anywhere between zero and 40 kilometers an hour but that just changes throughout the day. But
01:07each day is the same in terms of there's not a particular day that has strong or weak winds.
01:13There is a little bit of strength up in the north coast regions. So you might get some stronger wind
01:21warnings along the coast but nothing crazy at all. So that's really it for NT. Nice and stable. We'll
01:28very quickly have a look at our sample station which I've chosen Alice Springs because there's rain on the
01:34horizon. Wednesday four mils, Thursday three mils but it could fall anywhere between 0.2 and 12 mils.

01:49It is the Australian model that is throwing very high totals in the sort of like the cumulative 12 mils
01:57on that day whereas the US and the Canadian models are showing much lighter rainfall. So it looks like
02:04rain is definitely on the way but how much I would probably hedge is going to be a little bit
02:09less than
02:09that Australian model. But yeah not not a high risk sort of coming there. Other than that
02:19Tuesday potential fog risk with these lower temperatures overnight and it clears out at the
02:24end of the week. So that's it NT. A nice stable week. A bit of rain down in the south.
