00:00Usually, we go after each other and it gets really ugly and really nasty.
00:05I want to salute Nick Wilson on something here.
00:08Nick brought up an idea yesterday that I appreciate.
00:13I know he's trying to make the team better.
00:15I think the very worst thing that anybody can think of,
00:19the scariest scenario for anybody, is that they just run it back,
00:22which I think we have to prepare ourselves
00:24and have to have it on the table with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
00:27All right?
00:28Now, we've got Mike Florio joining us at 820.
00:29We'll get back into the soresby stuff coming up right before that.
00:32But I've got to bring this up.
00:34You have to be mentally prepared that you've got to have another team to do it.
00:37I've been saying that now for the last month
00:39since the Cavs have bounced from the postseason.
00:43But now, Nick brought up yesterday a trade scenario
00:46that actually a lot of Cavs fans seem to enjoy.
00:50My first trade offer to Boston would be Donovan Mitchell for Jalen Brown straight up.
00:55And that's no disrespect to Donovan
00:57because Donovan is a great player.
00:59But I would rather Jalen Brown and Evan Mobley
01:03as the core of this team for the next five years
01:06than Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell
01:09or Donovan Mitchell and Jalen Brown.
01:11Donovan and Jalen play different positions,
01:14but both do require some ball in their hand.
01:17You alleviate Boston's log jam on the wing.
01:20I think Donovan can act as somewhat of a point guard for them.
01:23He becomes their second best player to Tatum.
01:25And I think he's at the point where he'd be willing to accept that to win an NBA title.
01:29Jalen, I think, forecasts better into the future
01:32of being able to be the same player five years from now as opposed to Donovan.
01:36And I think he fits better with Evan as well
01:39because he's a little bit more pliable having made more sacrifices in Boston
01:43than Donovan's really had to make here.
01:45I think it's a no-brainer from both sides, by the way.
01:46So I'm a big Jalen Brown fan.
01:48We've all talked about it.
01:49I appreciate what Nick's effort is.
01:51Now, I don't know how the money adds up, but that might change
01:54because of James Harden's contract, all right?
01:56And I know we got rid of our first-round pick last night
01:59because we basically can't afford to have a first-round pick last night
02:02with the Cavaliers.
02:03So that's interesting and fun.
02:05I think we might be stuck, though.
02:07Like, there were a lot of fans.
02:09There were some fans who were mad at Nick,
02:10or how dare you even think Donovan Mitchell you would go on for him.
02:14He's just trying to make the team better.
02:17Jalen Brown, I think a lot of people would say Jalen Brown's better,
02:20but I actually think it's somewhat negligible.
02:24And I had to think of, all right, after the money,
02:27why would the Celtics make the trade?
02:29I don't think the Celtics would make the trade.
02:30I don't think the Celtics would do it.
02:31And I think that – do you think – let me ask you this.
02:33Do you think the Celtics would do it for Evan Mobley?
02:37I think.
02:38Albert Breer was asked.
02:39I think they would.
02:40Now, I know Albert's a football guy.
02:41I think they would.
02:42You think they would?
02:43Yes.
02:43See, this is the problem we're in.
02:45I think we're starting to have the same problem with Donovan
02:48to some degree that we did with Darius.
02:49It's not that Donovan's always hurt or anything like that.
02:52But you guys, we all want that primetime player.
02:57And Jalen is 6'6", and he can do a lot of things.
03:02Donovan can do a hell of a lot of things,
03:03but Jalen's probably a little bit better.
03:07But they're around the same age, same type of player.
03:10They're actually friends.
03:12And I'm going, man, who's giving up their primetime player for Donovan?
03:17Who's giving up their guy?
03:20And I go, damn it, that's the same damn thing I said
03:23when it came to Darius Garland.
03:25Who's giving up their dynamic wing?
03:28Remember, their dynamic wing, dynamic wing.
03:30Who's giving up their dynamic wing for Darius Garland?
03:34Turned out nobody was.
03:36I still am convinced, unless I have new information,
03:39that was the best deal you could make at a time you basically had to make the deal
03:42because Rich Paul told everybody that you had to make a deal.
03:44Yeah, it's not a good idea in this league in 2026 to be trading small for bigger.
03:51So I think we're kind of in the same.
03:54I don't know.
03:55Maybe you hammer me for it if you want to, Tone.
03:57I'm throwing myself on the table and giving you the axe.
04:01Hammer me for it if you want to.
04:03Call it stupid.
04:04Donovan is a top-quality player.
04:06But the only thing I could think of is if LeBron, just off the top of my head,
04:11I mean, I could sit there for an afternoon, I guess, and try to work some things out.
04:15But the only thing I could think of off the top of my head,
04:17walking with you today, was,
04:19all right, if LeBron told the Lakers absolutely bleep a knot,
04:23not coming back, make it work with something else, I'm out of here.
04:27And you remember, they did technically have a sign-in trade
04:31when he went to the Heat in 2010.
04:34Technically, you got something back for him.
04:36But what if he decided to do a tag?
04:38Well, the Donovan could work with Luka.
04:39Know that. LeBron could work with just about anybody.
04:42But I think it's a non-starter.
04:44I think Donovan cresting at 30.
04:46Wait, you're saying the Cavs could trade Donovan for LeBron?
04:51I wouldn't do that.
04:51It's the only thing I could think of off the top of my head.
04:53And I don't think a lot of Cavs fans would do it.
04:55Not for one year of LeBron, no.
04:57So I don't think Donovan's on the table,
04:59regardless if you're willing to give him up or not.
05:01Like, there's definitely fans who hear that.
05:03They love Donovan.
05:05You're more than welcome to be in that right.
05:07Donovan's been a very, very, very good citizen and player for this team
05:10since he got here.
05:12He's fantastic.
05:13But even if you were willing,
05:15I don't know the home that he's supposed to go to that makes sense.
05:20And you know why?
05:20This is what happens.
05:21There are more and more fans, even if they love Donovan,
05:24who are like, ooh, 68 million to 70-plus million a year.
05:27Jeff Phelps was the first one to it three weeks ago.
05:29I don't want to be in that business.
05:31You know, we played a clip a few weeks ago of one NBA pundit
05:36who's like, the minute he signs that contract,
05:38it was Nate Duncan and John Hollinger,
05:40they're like, the minute he signs.
05:42You're exactly right.
05:44I thought it was him at Habistro, but I think you're right.
05:46But the minute he signs that contract,
05:47it's one of the worst in the NBA,
05:49which is what they're saying about Trey Young's contract in Washington.
05:53But the difference is,
05:54I think actually Cavs fans would go to see Donovan Mitchell.
05:56I don't think the Wizards fans are going to see Trey Young.
05:58Yeah, so that's a tough one, too.
06:03You know, they're in a tough spot,
06:05and I try to brace everybody for this.
06:08During the season, and even when we were on our way
06:12to the Eastern Conference Finals,
06:13they're going to be in a very, very difficult spot
06:19to try to improve the team dramatically.
06:22There's not going to be any move they could make
06:24that makes them the favorites.
06:25It's so tough, though, because I think a lot of people...
06:27Like, he had a couple of clunkers in the postseason.
06:30I mean, hell, they played a lot of postseason games.
06:32Like, Evan had a couple of clunkers in the postseason,
06:34but he's also...
06:35He looked like a much better player in the postseason
06:37than he has been over the first four years of his career, okay?
06:39And he looks like...
06:40At times, yeah.
06:40He looks like he can grow.
06:42And I think a lot of folks have shifted there,
06:44like, we can't move on from Evan again.
06:45I think they've gone back to,
06:46we can't move on from Evan.
06:47Yeah, the hard part about Evan is,
06:48I still don't know if he's ever going to be the best player
06:51on a really good team.
06:52But I think if you guys really want to make a splash
06:55and not fall back into mediocrity, quote-unquote,
06:58not my words,
07:00then Evan's got to be the guy.
07:02And I don't know anybody who really wants to line up
07:04to trade Evan.
07:05Who wants to line up to trade Evan?
07:07Unless I'm getting this wrong,
07:08and you guys all disagree with me.
07:10Well, some would have been a Giannis move.
07:12Some would have done it in a Giannis move.
07:14I felt pretty desperate back in December.
07:16I don't feel that way anymore.
07:20It took a nice postseason for me to...
07:22I think had they traded for Giannis, though,
07:24I think that would have got the town pumped up
07:26more than they will be currently.
07:27It certainly would have sped things up, yeah.
07:29I think any big move...
07:30It would have been risky.
07:31I mean, there's no doubt.
07:32And all the moves you would do right now
07:34would be considered risky.
07:35Well, any of the three guys,
07:36if they get moved,
07:37depending on who they get back,
07:38I mean, it would probably get...
07:39It would get the juices flowing again.
07:41It would get people going.
07:43But I just don't know if it's the right move.
07:45And there's so many moves
07:46that I just don't think are realistic.
07:47Because if you're the Celtics,
07:49you could get more and better for Jalen Brown.
07:51So I'm not going to give that up for Jalen Brown.
07:54Or I'm not just going to take Donovan Mitchell back
07:56and have basically the same issue.
07:57Donovan might be better with Jason Tatum
08:00than what Jalen Brown is
08:01because they might not get along.
08:02I could make that argument.
08:03But to me, what you can't make,
08:05well, there have been seasons where...
08:09I think you'd say Donovan...
08:10There have been seasons where Donovan's been
08:11a better player than Jalen Brown.
08:13But in the playoffs,
08:14nobody would argue that you'd rather have
08:16Donovan Mitchell in today's game.
08:18Nobody would say you'd rather have Donovan
08:20than Jalen Brown.
08:21So I don't think Boston would do it.
08:24I just don't.
08:25I don't either.
08:26And Nick is saying something that's tough
08:28because he knows he's going to get
08:29a lot of blowback from that
08:30because Donovan's a very popular guy.
08:32And I don't really want to move on
08:33from Donovan either.
08:34But I think some people have taken it,
08:35well, that's a little bit more convenient.
08:37I go, man, we're starting to make
08:38the same arguments we used to make
08:40about Darius Garland.
08:41It was the most convenient piece
08:43at one point.
08:43It actually started with Jared Allen.
08:45Then you saw how Jared Allen
08:47just completely outplayed his contract
08:48and saw how important he was.
08:51Then it became Darius.
08:52Darius was a big fight for a lot of people.
08:54You moved on from Darius.
08:55Nobody seems to like James Harden
08:57very, very much,
08:57even though he is a very good
08:58basketball player.
08:59And now it's come down to,
09:01well, we got to make a move.
09:02Okay, but do you really want to give up
09:03Evan Mobley?
09:04No.
09:04Well, if you want to make a move,
09:05you're probably going to have to give up
09:06Evan Mobley.
09:07And I, because I don't know anybody
09:08who's just going to go
09:09and get another guard
09:10for their basketball team.
09:11Now, he's a great player.
09:13He's an MVP caliber player at times.
09:16Donovan is.
09:17But he still is that smaller figure
09:19type of guard.
09:20And we're getting in the same
09:22exact conversation,
09:23albeit he's certainly more durable.
09:25We're getting into some of the same stuff
09:27that we said about Darius Garland.
09:29And I was getting deja vu yesterday.
09:31Any of these trades to try to get better
09:33are probably going to mean
09:36that the Cavs are getting older
09:37and shortening the window.
09:39So it's a catch-22 of all these.
09:41Like, I even floated out
09:43a poor Zingas, you know, deal
09:45at one point, you know,
09:47with Jared Allen involved.
09:48And you see what we're doing here.
09:50You see we're getting older.
09:51We're taking heavier risks.
09:53You know, a Kawhi Leonard move
09:55at one point.
09:56You know, like, these are all
09:58the discussions.
09:59Anthony Davis, like,
10:00you're hearing me.
10:02Every move to try to get better
10:03and try to bring a profile
10:05of a player who might be able
10:06to help you in the playoffs
10:07is also tremendously riskier.
10:10And shortens your window.
10:12That's...
10:12I just can't be hell-bent
10:14on making a move
10:14just to make a move
10:15just to spice things up.
10:17I gotta do what's actually
10:18gonna make us better.
10:19And I think that people
10:20are just like,
10:20no, you have to have something
10:21completely different
10:22from what we have right now.
10:23We have to make a move
10:24where we're destined
10:25to be mediocre.
10:26One, you're not mediocre.
10:27Okay?
10:28You're just...
10:28You're in a very tough spot
10:29where there's definitely
10:30a concrete ceiling ahead of you.
10:32And you're gonna hear people...
10:33You're gonna hear people...
10:34I guarantee you're gonna hear
10:36going into next year
10:37if they just stand status quo.
10:40You're gonna hear,
10:41you know,
10:42that the Miami Heat
10:44could be ahead of you,
10:45which I don't think they are,
10:46by the way.
10:47No, I don't.
10:47I'm just saying...
10:47Not right now.
10:48People are gonna start
10:48to say that
10:49depending on what Boston gets
10:51for Jalen Brown
10:53or if just Jalen Brown stays there.
10:54You're gonna have people
10:55pick the Celtics ahead of you.
10:56The Pacers,
10:58I think you're gonna have
10:59people pick them.
11:00They're gonna be like,
11:00oh, old Tyrese Halliburton,
11:02healthy,
11:02and the last time
11:02we saw him healthy,
11:03what did the Pacers do
11:05to the Cleveland Cavs?
11:06I do believe more
11:07about the Pacers
11:07than I would the...
11:08Now, I know that
11:08their roster has changed.
11:10I gotta tell you, though,
11:10I wanna bring this up
11:11with Danny.
11:12And then, obviously,
11:12the Knicks,
11:13people will say
11:14that the Detroit Pistons,
11:15just by virtue of being
11:16a year later,
11:18and they're probably
11:19gonna try to add
11:20a big-time weapon
11:21and they're gonna be
11:22able to do that.
11:22I'm in a bad place
11:24right now with the Cavs.
11:26Emotionally, I'm good.
11:27Emotionally, I'm like,
11:28hey, if we gotta run it back,
11:29we gotta run it back.
11:30But I also know
11:31that there's gonna be
11:32consequences to running it back,
11:33and I know that
11:33that's the last thing
11:34any Cavs fan wants to hear
11:36is running it back.
11:37But I think we're
11:37in a tough spot, guys,
11:39because you...
11:40Like, Nick broke
11:42the third rail yesterday
11:44where he just said,
11:45I'd trade Donovan Mitchell
11:46for Jalen Brown,
11:48and there's a lot of people
11:51who have thought it,
11:52but they don't really
11:52wanna say it publicly
11:53because Donovan
11:55is well-liked here.
11:56But when you lose
11:58in four to the Knicks,
11:59people start to think things.
12:01I think there might be
12:02some people
12:03who would line up
12:03and make that trade,
12:05except I don't think
12:05any of them are affiliated
12:06with the Boston Celtics.
12:08Chris Mannix knows that.
12:09This is NBC Sports Boston.
12:13Chris says they are interested
12:14in another member
12:15of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
12:17Jalen Brown is truly available
12:19and what the asking price
12:20for him is going to be,
12:21but the Celtics, I believe,
12:22are listening to those calls
12:23and are, you know,
12:24thinking up their own trade
12:25matches of their own.
12:26I spent some time
12:26this afternoon
12:27talking to different teams
12:28about what might
12:29the Celtics be interested in,
12:30and the name and the team
12:31that came back to me a lot
12:33was Evan Mobley
12:33and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
12:35Mobley's one of those guys
12:36that could fit the archetype
12:37of the type of player
12:38that the Celtics are looking for.
12:39Now, if it is a deal
12:40they're interested in,
12:41it's a complicated deal
12:42to make because
12:42the Cleveland Cavaliers
12:43are a second apron team
12:45and there are a whole bunch
12:46of different rules
12:46that go with being
12:47a second apron team,
12:48including the need
12:49to match dollar for dollar value
12:50with the player
12:51that goes out.
12:52That's just mathematically
12:53impossible, it seems like,
12:54in this moment,
12:55but that's the name
12:58Esports boss
12:59to which, by the way,
13:00I don't know why I went
13:01eh, but anyway,
13:02I'm sorry.
13:04So, Evan Mobley's
13:05been bandied about
13:05and I think that
13:07last December,
13:08I think a lot of people
13:08would have said,
13:09yeah, yeah, yeah,
13:10oh yeah.
13:11They were willing
13:12to do it for Giannis.
13:13I was willing to do it
13:14for Giannis
13:15last December,
13:15but he had himself
13:17a very nice postseason
13:18this year.
13:18Now, there are a couple
13:19of bad ones in there,
13:20so if you want to go looking,
13:22you'll find them.
13:23They played 18 games
13:25or whatever it was
13:26in the postseason.
13:27They played a lot
13:28of basketball.
13:29Almost doubled
13:29the regular season
13:30of what they had
13:31with James Harden.
13:32So, it's a very
13:34careful thing.
13:35You have this player
13:36who's very good.
13:37This is why I'm
13:37making the comparison.
13:39Nobody said
13:39Darius Garland
13:40wasn't good.
13:41Darius Garland's
13:41problem was injury.
13:42Darius Garland's
13:43problem was size.
13:44Now, Donovan has been
13:45pretty sturdy
13:46and stable for you.
13:48Donovan, maybe a little
13:49bit of the problem
13:49is size.
13:50Maybe a little bit
13:51of the problem
13:51is ceiling.
13:52Jalen Brown.
13:53Jalen Brown is a man
13:54who certainly,
13:55he's bigger,
13:56he's 6'6".
13:57He is certainly
13:58a man who feels
13:58that he's been
13:59disrespected by the
14:00Boston Celtics.
14:01It's been a conversation
14:02over the last couple
14:02of years.
14:03Whose team is it?
14:04Is it his team?
14:04Is it Jason Tatum's team?
14:06I was willing to get
14:07over seeing what they
14:08had.
14:08I was willing to give
14:09it over to Jalen Brown.
14:11I turned out being
14:12wrong.
14:12Now, I like Jalen Brown.
14:14If I had to,
14:15maybe I'd move on
14:16from Donovan Mitchell,
14:17but I think it's almost
14:19the same type of player.
14:21For Evan,
14:23are you willing to do
14:23that?
14:24All right, Kenny,
14:25I thought about it.
14:26I thought I was going
14:27to be on the fence
14:27on this.
14:29Bye-bye, Evan.
14:29Bye-bye, Unicorn.
14:31It's been a decent run.
14:32Not a great run.
14:33It's been a decent run.
14:342-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92.
14:36You're willing to move
14:37Evan Mobley for Jalen Brown.
14:39Come on.
14:39I have to say it.
14:40You've got 10 minutes
14:41because we've got
14:41Brian Geltziler
14:42joining us on the show.
14:43So I'll load you guys up.
14:45Let's go.
14:45I do not think
14:46there is a world.
14:47John, get the Browns
14:48calls off the line.
14:49Go ahead.
14:50Sorry.
14:50I do not think
14:51there is a world
14:52where Evan Mobley
14:54ever becomes as good
14:55as Jalen Brown.
14:56What do we learn
14:57about this league?
14:58Every time we get
14:59into the playoffs
15:00that the players
15:01that teams can rely on
15:03that become
15:05playoff performers
15:06that we like to say
15:08all the time
15:09they enhance
15:10come the postseason
15:11in the NBA
15:13are those long wings
15:16who can defend,
15:17who can playmake,
15:18and who can be there
15:19on offense.
15:20Got some dog in them
15:21and oh, by the way,
15:23NBA Finals MVP.
15:26Pretty valuable stuff.
15:27I think it was
15:27an Easter Conference
15:28Finals MVP as well.
15:30And quite frankly,
15:30I think he's been better
15:31than Jason Tatum
15:32the last few years.
15:33So I know that's
15:34controversial
15:35and in Boston
15:36they would say
15:37that's ridiculous.
15:39I think he's been
15:39a better player.
15:40He's mercurial.
15:41He's got a lot of Kyrie
15:42in him.
15:43In fact, it should be
15:43no surprise to anybody
15:44he's friends with Kyrie.
15:45He's also friends
15:46with Donovan Mitchell.
15:47I think I make this trade
15:48because the window
15:49is now on
15:51Donovan Mitchell's timeline.
15:52And what does that mean?
15:54That we're no longer
15:56having these dreams
15:57of five years from now.
15:59What's Evan Mobley
15:59going to be?
16:00I don't think Evan Mobley
16:01will ever be the best player
16:03on a contender.
16:04But I do know
16:05Jalen Brown
16:06can be a 1A or 1B
16:07on a team that can win
16:09the championship.
16:09He's proven it.
16:10I can't do it yet.
16:11Bye-bye, Evan.
16:12I can't do it yet.
16:13I can't do it yet.
16:172-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92.
16:20All Cavs Conversations
16:21brought to you
16:22by the fine folks
16:22at Surfside Hard Ice Tea
16:23who ask you to please
16:24enjoy your Surfside Hard Ice Tea
16:26responsibly.
16:28You've got to talk me
16:29into more of it.
16:31Once you say
16:32you're willing to trade a guy,
16:33that's it.
16:33I know.
16:34You've got to be honest.
16:35You can't just take back
16:36trades willy-nilly.
16:37That's not how this works.
16:38It's the same thing
16:39as LeBron-Michael discussion.
16:40Once you say one's better,
16:41that's it.
16:42Once you've been public
16:42about moving a guy,
16:44I think that's what
16:45the Cavs are trying to avoid.
16:47You do have egos
16:48on this team.
16:49I know everything's
16:50supposed to be hunky-dory.
16:51You have egos
16:52on this team.
16:52You saw how Jalen Brown
16:54reacted to that conversation
16:55with the Milwaukee Bucks.
16:56You don't want any problem
16:58with any of your players.
17:00So it's going to have
17:01to be done
17:02very, very, very quietly.
17:04Now, I don't think
17:04Evan's the type of guy
17:06to go on Twitch
17:08and start talking about
17:09how he's disrespected
17:10by the Cavs,
17:11the way that Jalen Brown
17:12did it with the Celtics.
17:13I just, damn it,
17:14I don't know why
17:16I'm not there yet.
17:17I can't bring myself
17:18to squeeze the trigger.
17:20And I think part of it
17:21is because I've been arguing
17:22about the guy
17:22for the last five years.
17:23And it's because
17:25Evan's talent
17:26is tantalizing.
17:27It is.
17:28When you see,
17:29and I remember
17:30on social media
17:30a couple times,
17:31and obviously
17:31on the shows
17:32that we did afterwards,
17:33he showed some nasty streak
17:35here and there
17:36in the playoffs.
17:36He showed me
17:37some things
17:38I didn't know,
17:39but the totality
17:40of it is
17:42it's not going
17:43to be good enough
17:43over the next
17:44two years
17:45when Donovan Mitchell,
17:46when the stuff
17:47in his game
17:48starts to deteriorate,
17:49right?
17:50He is not going
17:52to be ascending
17:53quick enough.
17:54We've seen that.
17:55Remember the first
17:55month and a half?
17:56Is just Evan enough
17:57to get Jalen Brown?
18:00Financially,
18:00I mean,
18:01there might be
18:01other pieces and parts
18:03thrown in.
18:04There were some
18:04Struis and Pritchard
18:06rumors in there,
18:06man.
18:07I would trade Evan
18:08and Struis
18:09if I could get
18:09Pritchard and
18:11Jalen Brown.
18:12That would be
18:12the easiest trade
18:13ever.
18:14That would make
18:14it even easier
18:14for me.
18:16But,
18:16you know,
18:17be that as it may.
18:18Well,
18:18you've been looking
18:18to move off
18:19the Struis moose
18:20for years.
18:20This creates
18:23other problems.
18:24It solves some problems.
18:25It creates other problems.
18:26It's like,
18:26what are you going
18:27to do defensively
18:28on the interior?
18:29Like,
18:29on the wings,
18:30you've made
18:31the huge,
18:32significant upgrade.
18:32You need to make,
18:33especially playing
18:34alongside Harden
18:35and Donovan Mitchell.
18:36that's what I'm saying.
18:37That's why I'm not
18:38really willing to do it.
18:39Where's it going to get me?
18:39If you guys are all saying
18:40running it back
18:41is not interesting to you
18:43and does not give you a shot,
18:45all right,
18:46I at least give you this.
18:49That's not,
18:51I'm not making moves
18:52just to make moves
18:52and saying,
18:53well,
18:53it's got to change.
18:53Yeah,
18:54but you're saying
18:54you don't want to just
18:55stay the same to stay the same.
18:56I don't.
18:56That's the hard part.
18:57That's the hard predicament
18:58the Cavs are in.
18:59But damn it, man,
18:59you're telling me
18:596-6-6-2-6-6
19:01on the starting five.
19:03And then Jared Allen,
19:05okay,
19:05and then as of right now,
19:06what,
19:06Dean Wade?
19:07I'd have somebody
19:08play defense.
19:10So you'd have Dean Wade,
19:12all right,
19:13until he's no longer usable.
19:14Boy,
19:15it's amazing.
19:15Jared Allen,
19:16he's got to be
19:17one of the most underrated players
19:19in the history of Cleveland sports.
19:19If he's one of the last men standing?
19:21Because he was the first guy
19:22that anybody ever talked about
19:24when we ever first started
19:25talking about years ago
19:26about messing with the core four.
19:28He was the first guy
19:29that's mentioned.
19:29He may be the last one standing
19:31when this all is done.
19:32It's all because of how much
19:33he outperforms that contract.
19:36He is an amazing bargain.
19:38I've only heard stories
19:39of the owner backing one guy
19:41to be the key piece
19:44of winning a game seven.
19:45That was Jared Allen.
19:47Outstanding.
19:48Absolutely outstanding.
19:49Mr. Game seven.
19:50My respect for Jared Allen has,
19:52I don't know if,
19:53the cup is runneth over.
19:55The respect I have for Jared Allen.
19:56Remember Dr. J.A.?
19:57Damn.
19:58I can't,
19:59look at that backcourt though.
20:01Tone,
20:01I mean,
20:01what are we just doing?
20:02We just putting names together?
20:04Mitchell,
20:06Harden,
20:07Brown,
20:07that's it?
20:08I mean,
20:08good God.
20:09I don't know if that's going
20:10to get you over the mix.
20:11I don't know either.
20:12I don't think that'll get you
20:14over the mix.
20:14I wonder if they do know
20:16that this group as constituted
20:18does not give them a shot
20:20to win a championship.
20:21Not willing to do it.
20:21Not going to do it.
20:21Not willing to do it.
20:22Ain't going to happen.
20:23Will in a car.
20:24Hello.
20:25Yeah,
20:26I'm a stick to football
20:27because Jared Allen
20:28should be the one traded,
20:29not Evan Mobley,
20:31not on any planet
20:32in Cleveland.
20:33So the guy that helped
20:34win two game sevens
20:35for you?
20:35Doesn't matter.
20:36He said that he is not
20:37Okay,
20:38those game sevens
20:38don't matter.
20:39Did you win?
20:40They won a lot.
20:41The game sevens?
20:42Yes,
20:42they did win.
20:42Thanks to Jared Allen.
20:44Will is coming in hot.
20:44I don't remember Evan Mobley
20:46winning them a game seven.
20:47He got swept
20:48by the overrated Knicks
20:50and Jared Allen
20:51disappeared.
20:52Wait,
20:52the overrated who?
20:54The Knicks are overrated
20:55by a long shot.
20:57I'm supposed to stick
20:57to what again?
20:58The Knicks are overrated
20:59this year, Will?
20:59The championship team?
21:00Obviously,
21:01I don't know football either.
21:01Were you the guy on ESPN
21:04that said it's a
21:05participation trophy,
21:06Will?
21:06Who was that guy?
21:08Was that you, Will?
21:09Did they let you on ESPN
21:10and say all the champions
21:11just get participation trophies?
21:12Oh,
21:13Vinny Goodwill.
21:14So it was Will.
21:14Vinny Goodwill in a car.
21:16You believe the other.
21:17You agree with the guy
21:18on the best sports betting.
21:19But,
21:20you know,
21:20hey,
21:20listen,
21:20Jared Allen.
21:21What did I agree?
21:22What's my point?
21:23Hold on.
21:23What was my point
21:24on the sports betting?
21:25Let's see what nuance
21:26you were able to glean
21:26from that conversation.
21:29That it's new.
21:30It's the thing
21:31that it's just,
21:32it just happens.
21:33People don't think
21:33it's really,
21:34it's a video game.
21:35I don't think him
21:36betting $3
21:36will jeopardize
21:38any of the bets
21:38you place on football.
21:40Why are we arguing that?
21:41I don't think
21:41even one,
21:42both a principle.
21:43Did Terry Rozier
21:44lead to even one person?
21:46Will,
21:46I'm asking you a question.
21:47Do you have the ability
21:48to listen for a couple seconds?
21:49Did Terry Rozier
21:50gambling on the NBA
21:52convince one person
21:53not to actually gamble
21:55on the NBA?
21:56Him being involved in that.
21:58Do you have the ability
22:00to answer as well?
22:01You already have proven
22:03that you can't listen.
22:04Now you're proving
22:05that you can't talk
22:06when it's your time
22:07to talk to answer the question.
22:08You're really bad
22:09at this holding
22:09a conversation thing,
22:10Will.
22:11You're really sinking yourself.
22:12I don't want to hear
22:13that hypothetical.
22:14What did you have
22:14any way you look at it?
22:16Any way you look at it
22:17is cheating.
22:18What is cheating?
22:19Jared Allen,
22:19they should trade Jared Allen
22:20100%.
22:21They're going to have
22:22to trade Donovan Mitchell
22:23if they bring Jalen Brown in here.
22:24Sorsby has not been accused
22:26of cheating so wrong.
22:27Can I step in for a second?
22:28Man, you're doing terrible.
22:29Let me step in for a second.
22:30Will, do you really believe
22:31the Knicks are overrated?
22:33Yes, 100%.
22:34So who's good, Will?
22:37Who's good in the NBA?
22:38Definitely the Sors
22:39are better than them.
22:40They just had bad teams.
22:42The team that lost
22:42in five games.
22:43You have to save this, man.
22:44This is impressive.
22:46Hold on.
22:46I'll let you talk.
22:47So you're telling me
22:48that the...
22:49No, no.
22:50I wanted to hear it.
22:51He was sinking himself
22:52by the second.
22:53I tried to save him.
22:54I know we ran out of time.
22:55I tried to save him.
22:56You can't call the team
22:57that just won the championship
22:59two weeks ago.
23:00You give people
23:00long enough rope,
23:01they will eventually
23:02hang themselves.
23:03That's the one thing
23:03I've learned.
23:04That to me is right up there
23:05with the guy who said
23:06that LeBron didn't hang
23:07the drywall.
23:08I think that's one of the
23:09top five calls we've ever had
23:10that have been insane.
23:12You cannot two weeks after.
23:14You can't say that.
23:16That's what the championship
23:17is for, Will.
23:19Your head coach said it.
23:21I'm nervous.
23:22And what are people
23:23saying about him?
23:24Will on a card
23:25is just anonymous.
23:26I'm nervous.
23:27They're making fun of him
23:27on what's left
23:28of late night television.
23:29You can't say it
23:30because the head coach said it.
23:31Guys, it makes sense.
23:33Will lost a ton of money
23:34betting against the Knicks.
23:36And that's why he wanted
23:37to talk about the gambling
23:38and somehow say
23:40that the Knicks are overrated.
23:42Sorry, dude.
23:43You gotta work on your parlays.
23:44So we'll be right back.
