01:02King Ahab called all Israel together and assembled the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel.
01:10Elijah stepped out in front of all the people.
01:13How long, he said. Do you mean to hobble first on one leg, then on the other?
01:20If the Lord is God, follow him. If Baal, follow him.
01:25But the people never said a word.
01:29Elijah then said to them,
01:31I, I alone, am left as a prophet of the Lord, while the prophets of Baal are four hundred and
01:39fifty.
01:39Let two bulls begin in us.
01:42Let them choose one for themselves,
01:45dismember it and lay it on the wood,
01:47but not set fire to it.
01:50I, in my turn, will prepare the other bull,
01:54but not set fire to it.
01:57You must call on the name of your God,
02:00and I shall call on the name of mine.
02:03The God who answers with fire is God indeed.

02:10Elijah then said to the prophets of Baal,
