00:08stories that are focused this evening not even a week to the DKS government and all is not well
00:13while cabinet expansion is on the cards but those inside the cabinet already expressed discontent
00:18when it comes to their portfolios also the other person expected in Delhi tomorrow is none other
00:24than Tamil Nadu chief minister Vijay this as sources say he will be meeting the Gandhi's we'll get to
00:29this and a lot more through the next one hour first a quick check off the headlines we're tracking

02:14and first up we cut across to breaking news coming in this is from Tamil Nadu a promise that
02:19Vijay had made to the people of Tamil Nadu especially when it comes to the safety of women and children
02:23and just a short while ago he's launched a special program a special task force for the protection of
02:30women and children this program that has been titled singe penne and as part of this Vijay has
02:36deployed petrol vehicle that will consist of one SI2 head constables one driver remember this will be an
02:44all women's team that will be the patrol vehicle not just that we'll also play out those pictures where
02:50Vijay took one of these patrol vehicles on a spin inside the stadium and he drove the vehicle but
02:57the message is loud and clear that for the Vijay government it is the safety and security of women
03:01and children and for this very reason he has launched this program called singe penne where he has said that
03:09the reason for the crimes and atrocities against women also seem to be the drug issue very few programs
03:16feel close to my heart and one such program is the launch of singe penne special forces our mothers
03:21sisters every girl child needs to feel assured and needs to feel safe because this was not just an
03:26election promise this is zero tolerance towards crime against women this is just within few days
03:32that he's come to power and he's stuck by his promise when he said that he's content that it surely
03:37is hurtful to hear crimes against women and now to fix this they have launched this special task force
03:43listen in to that statement
03:47pennegalik edharana in the kodumekille namak eppu me zero tolerance tha hyalurombo uru diyaa arukurom
03:54so so onna the illa me say you know and all the arts ikke vandu oda ne in the korenja

04:06pennegalik edharana in the kodumekille namak eppu me zero tolerance tha hyalurombo uru diyaa arukurom
04:13so so onna the illa me say you know and all the arts ikke vandu oda ne in the korenja
04:20naatkalu kuldi e itha nadamurik ke kundu on the bro
04:24let me take this to my colleague anaga keshav joining us on the broadcast anaga it is happening
04:29to see that the chief minister stuck by the promise he made and he's at least made an attempt in
04:35that
04:35direction when he's launched this task force the special task force for the protection of women
04:39and children do give us details of what this entails because women's safety is not a problem
04:44only in tamil nad it is across the country but the fact that the chief minister takes this
04:49initiative is appreciate appreciable
04:51i want to give you a glimpse of the police patrol vehicles that's there right behind me the police
05:03patrol vehicles that i'm showing and they're right behind me this is the singapenne special force
05:09where all women police team will be seated and there will be patrolling across the state of tamil nadu
05:15they will be accompanied by
05:21anaga i'm sorry that audio line is not very clear we'll have to reconnect with you shortly from now
05:26in the meanwhile i take this to my colleague promote madhav who's also getting us details on this special
05:30task force that has been launched by the vijay government promote tell us what this means for
05:35the women and children of the state how these patrol vehicles have been deployed and in what number
05:40to ensure their safety close to 515 special camps will be created for this singapenne special scheme
05:46so yesha and the important aspect here is that like the chief minister said like you know the more
05:50than 300 course will be spent for this particular program creating job for 2500 women and very clearly
05:55he says that the emphasis on women and child safety is the first and foremost thing of his particular
06:00government the tvk government in the state and in a way he also took a dick claiming that the
06:05important aspect that if you see trying to find out the root cause for the kind of issues crimes
06:09against women and children it actually ends at drug abuse and drug prevalence and she said that
06:14this needs to be taken care of it must be curbed he also in a way kind of took a
06:18kind of smart
06:19indirect drive at the former government claiming this has been neglected for several years and that
06:23has led to such a situation in the states right now but he said this is not a time for
06:27kind of such
06:28kind of things but to concentrate and move ahead and that's why he said after driving that bolero
06:32vehicle he very clearly says that this is time and one important aspect is that you want to say
06:36that for a government to show that it has the state has progressed it is not about the economic growth
06:42or the infrastructure growth it is also about giving a respectful life for the women and children
06:47in that state that's how we ended his speech suesha all right promote the that is certainly a good
06:54initiative how much it delivers is something time will tell but i request you to stay on as we are
06:59also
06:59cutting across to details of how chief minister vijay will be back in delhi tomorrow now we are
07:04learning that this will be his second visit to the national capital but this time around
07:09he's slated to meet the gandhis ever since he assumed office as chief minister on the 27th of
07:14mace when vijay had traveled to delhi previously and he had met with prime minister narendra modhi
07:19and submitted key demands concerning the interests of the state of tamil nadh this time vijay will
07:24attend the neeti ayog meeting and is also likely to meet with sonia gandhi and rahul gandhi
07:29during his previous visit a meeting with the gandhi leaders was certainly expected but it eventually
07:34did not materialize and had been postponed to a later time seems like tomorrow is that day because
07:39sources now indicate that there is a stronger possibility of those meeting meetings rather
07:44taking place during this visit there is also speculation that discussions could be held on
07:49vijay's role and the possibility of a more formal engagement as far as the india block is concerned
07:55let me take this back to promote mother who continues to stay with us on the broadcast
07:59promote important there not just from the point of view that he was earlier also stated to meet with
08:03the gandhis and tomorrow that may happen but with regards to the inclusion of the tvk into the india
08:09block and the congress may just approach him for that well so you should have first and foremost
08:13in things where seems to be after vijay became the chief minister of the state he went to the
08:17he went to delhi the national capital but he met with the prime minister and also nirmala sitar
08:21raman however he did not meet with the gandhi family at that time so it looks like you know he
08:25is supposed to be in delhi on 11th of june not tomorrow but apparently he's going tomorrow and
08:31he's uh he's uh returning back only on 12th so like our sources very clearly says that uh cmbj is
08:38very
08:38much inclined to meet with the gandhi family but uh you know that needs to be actually confirmed from
08:42their end so there are certain things that need to be rectified over there so the first thing
08:46or the agenda seems to be here so after winning the elections rahul gandhi came over here he was
08:51part of the you know a ceremony where the chief minister took oath and such but to go there and
08:55directly meet the uh the uh the seniors of the gandhi family and such that is still pending so it
09:00looks
09:00like there are high possibilities of that to happen as well we've also been told that there are chances
09:04that the chief minister might also go to a temple tomorrow if there is time available and uh that
09:09thing is also in progress but it looks like 11th is completely dedicated for the niti ayahu program
09:14so possibly tomorrow depending it's still tentative uh there are like two schedules we've been it's
09:19been given to us either 10 a.m or 12 a.m sorry 12 p.m special flights so depending
09:23on that he the
09:24chief minister might board the flight and leave to delhi and depending on the availability of meeting
09:29the gandhi families over there there are high chances that that could happen suyesha all right
09:33many thanks for getting us those details we'll keep coming back to further updates and most importantly
09:37what happens tomorrow once he is in delhi and moving on to the state of karnatica where it's
09:45been about a week for the dks government that is in power but trouble has been mounting this over the
09:50portfolios that have been allocated to the ministers in the cabinet while cabinet expansion is certainly
09:55on the cards dks will come to delhi tomorrow and he will discuss this issue with the top leadership
10:02and how they will now solve this problem moving forward take a look at this report
10:10the karnatica political drama is showing no signs of ending barely a week after dk shivakumar took
10:18charge as chief minister signs of discontent have begun surfacing over portfolio allocation so far
10:25two ministers kh muni appa and krishna by regoda have expressed dissatisfaction with their portfolios
10:33sources say several other ministers are also unhappy and could consider stepping down if their concerns
10:39are not addressed karnatica chief minister dk shivakumar will leave for delhi on wednesday
10:45on his first visit to the national capital after resuming office
10:51the visit could prove crucial as shivakumar is expected to meet the congress high command
10:56cabinet expansion likely to top the agenda portfolio raw may come up for discussion
11:02additional charges may be offered to pacify unhappy ministers discussion is also likely on congress mla
11:08rizwan arshad's cabinet aspirations
11:13so far as i know already the party high command and the honorable chief minister
11:18has already allotted the portfolios i think if there is anything need to be discussed it will
11:23be sorted out amicably i do i don't think there is any issue in this
11:27earlier minister ramalinga reddy had offered to resign from the cabinet
11:31but was persuaded by chief minister dk shivakumar to reconsider
12:03the bjb has seized the
12:05the opportunity to target the congress government
12:08congress kandar sabu tic tac nai a isa dikata hai
12:15our dosra both logo montree ho neka competition may
12:21whoo malum hota hai anewala din may muja lakta hai sarkar sade isha se leke jana muskilo ta
12:32it has been just a week since the government took office but signs of trouble are already
12:38emerging for shiva kumar's administration is this another chapter in karnataka's never-ending
12:44political drama bureau report india today
12:51and let's now give you clarity on what exactly the trouble is about and who wants what yes it is
12:58kh muniappa who's currently the food and civil supplies minister in karnataka but he actually
13:03wanted social welfare portfolio and he has expressed that openly krishnabai regauda who is currently the
13:10bengaluru development minister and he sought full charge of bda and bmrda now this as sources tell
13:18india today that the ministers have been complaining but what exactly can be dks's solution he'll go to
13:24delhi tomorrow he'll discuss with the top leadership there are also chances that more portfolios are
13:29added to the current portfolios of the ministers who are already in power let me take this to our
13:34guest joining us this evening we have surbi hodigere who is part of the karnataka bjp spokesperson of
13:41karnataka bjp and also sayyat asad abbas who is a political analyst thank you both for joining us this
13:46evening uh so we have first want to come to you to all the bjp has been saying through what
13:52the
13:52congress made look like a very smooth transition no internal rift all well when it came to the transfer
13:59of power from sidaramaya to dks but why they succeeded at that how do you respond to the
14:06discontent that the cabinet has been expressing i don't know if they succeeded at that because
14:12uh just a few days after mr dk shivkumar was thrown into power there was a viral video going
14:17around in karnataka as well as on social media of mr dk shivkumar and mr sidramaya walking past each
14:22other without even acknowledging each other's presence so this kind of you know smooth transition surely the
14:27pr machinery has done uh you know i mean and how can you potentially say smooth transition when we've
14:33been going through this in karnataka for three years for over three years we've been discussing
14:37who's going to be cm who's not going to be cm who's going to continue to be cm and even
14:41after it's been
14:42one week since mr dk shivkumar took power the focus has not been governance just like the focus for the
14:47last three years has not been governance the focus in the last one week has not been governance he's been
14:52doing visits to various people you know persons homes eminent persons homes visiting his own
14:57constituency and and dealing with this uh fallout within his own cabinet a very few number of people
15:04have been sworn in it's not the full cabinet yet and just to point out you know no woman has
15:08been
15:08sworn in so far with all of this he has not been able to handle the discontent if you're giving
15:15somebody bangalore but you don't really give them bangalore development and this this sort of
15:19squabble to have bangalore in charge is it rooted in ideas is it rooted in action or is it rooted
15:25in
15:25something else i don't know the congress has to answer why this right is hurry to take up bengaluru
15:31is it because there are grand plans for bengaluru right if so let's put them out there what do you
15:36plan to do with the bengaluru portfolio none of that is being discussed it's just back and forth this
15:41is what we've been having to deal with for the last one week we really thought that this three-year
15:46drama the saga that's been going on who's going to be karnataka chief minister has ended because the
15:51congress finally made up its mind and took action however what we're left with is misgovernance lack
15:57of administration and all right i don't want to hear the very trite arguments of this happened that
16:02happened i think the people are fed up of back and forth tutu maymay okay how are you going to
16:06solve
16:07this that's what i want to hear ma'am let me ask that straight question to sayyat asad abbas who's
16:10also
16:11with us on the broadcast uh you know because it's been less than a week literally about a week that
16:15uh
16:16you know ministers are coming out in the open to say that we are not happy with the portfolio we
16:21are not
16:21happy with what you've given us you think that the top leadership only focused on the transfer
16:25of power between sidramaya and dks not factoring in how they will satisfy the others
16:31swishasji firstly uh on your channel today on india today i'd like to share with you that when it
16:36comes to politics and governance i've always believed with great power there's great responsibility
16:41and equal uh equal accountability the fact of the matter that dodla hali kempegaura shiv kumar
16:47is now the chief minister of karnataka the congress is troubleshooter and the man who made
16:52things happen he's called the rainmaker for a reason you know in the words of gen z what a
16:57cracking flying banger of a start let us understand this man when the bjp questions on governance
17:03gave 50 announced for 50 000 jobs for the youth 2 000 crore for the bengaluru world uh work repairs
17:10and also free bus passes to the students as much as my friend from the bjp is falling prey to
17:18tampered
17:18videos surubiji let me address this to you ma'am the video that you saw is a tampered one kindly
17:24research go into depth and understand what is better now coming to the point that now it is a
17:30tampered video ma'am please please research you will know it's it's it's not it's it's a fake
17:35tampered video it's not an original video how is it tampered how do you tamper something please
17:38do some research you'll get the answer or why should i do research now coming to the point now allow
17:44me
17:44to finish my point thank you now coming to the point the same thing great power comes great
17:48responsibility for three years side when are we going to see governance i'll give you a chance let him
17:54finish his point i'll give you a chance next time coming to you is just the two of you on
17:57the panel
17:57let him make his point i'll come back to you thank you thank you sir sir g now the point
18:02i'd like to
18:03make here very importantly let us understand the respective ministers in question kh muni appa or
18:09even a ramani gha redhi these are eight time mlas eight to nine times in fact mlas and i have
18:14previously held ministership six to seven times and if they feel they deserve something larger something
18:19better i'm sure this is only 14 council of ministers that has been announced there are another
18:2520 portfolios to be announced for which our honorable chief minister shri dk shivkumar ji
18:31is heading to delhi and bringing about the same let us understand the bjp spokesperson here also has
18:37political ambitious uh aspirations let's not make personal remarks please we are talking about dk's and
18:43how he is dealing with the cabinet let's not make personal remarks here no the larger point i'm making
18:48here if you're in politics you should be ambitious you should have aspirations and of course go for the
18:54best it's bjp bjp saying congress that uh they are power hungry and so on so forth they couldn't
19:00handle their term here in karnataka they had to dethrone their tallest leader yadi orappa and give
19:05basaraj bamaya chance they couldn't keep their faction leaders down so they announced three chief
19:10minister deputy chief ministers which is an absolute shame not just that their own bjp leaders have
19:16called yadi orappa son vijayendra as a super cm as a remote control cm to aap kare to pyaar hum
19:23kare to
19:24var ye kaisa tyachar bachpake right dosto okay okay let's also give surbi a chance to respond
19:33while uh he seems very confident that dks would be able to fix things tomorrow when he goes to delhi
19:37and discuss this with the top leadership but how hopeful is the bjp because you're well within your
19:42right to question as the principal opposition to why the government in karnataka is not being able
19:49to keep it together it's just been a week of dks in government i think syed you know abbas has
19:55perfected the art of saying nothing by saying a lot of things with great power comes great
20:00responsibility you have been saying for three years now when is that responsibility going to come in
20:04what is the responsibility towards the people of karnataka towards the people of bengaluru you say
20:092 000 crores has been allocated for bengaluru 1 100 crores was allocated just a couple of months ago
20:14where did it go down the drain do you see any improvement in bengaluru infrastructure do you see
20:18the garbage problem getting better do you see the potholes getting better 100 days i will fix the
20:22pothole said the dcm you know when he was dcm the chief minister when he was dcm why is there
20:27no congress spokesperson on this debate today because you are not able to answer that question on why
20:32your party cannot go beyond i'm going to be chief minister i'm going to be this this this minister
20:36and you're sticking to i want to be so and so let's talk governance i am tired i as a
20:42spokesperson
20:43i'm tired of having an opinion about the internal political problem of the congress because i want
20:48to speak administration i want to speak governance i'm not interested in saying a lot of words that
20:53make no sense i want action on the ground give me the opportunity to be a fantastic opposition give
20:58me issues on governance but the same drama we see happening every single time i'm unfortunately
21:04unfortunately for the people of karnataka like i said this is only the first round of cabinet ministers
21:09there's disgruntlement here there's going to be another round of cabinet ministers there's going
21:12to be disgruntlement there the administration is being rejected who comes under whose control
21:16before we know it it's going to be 2027 december we are in election season and everything
21:22comes to a halt all again when are the people of karnataka going to see governance and
21:26administration under this congress rule or have you decided that you know what let's stick to this
21:32every term there's going to be a new government and you're going to give us an easy victory in
21:362028 all right so yeah there said no doubt about the fact that dks is called the troubleshooter for
21:42the congress for a reason and he has been able to fix a lot of these issues in the past
21:46but fact still
21:46remains that for the people of karnataka this is not a good message that comes across first three
21:52years spent in dks versus sidharamaya will the chief minister change that has finally happened
21:58now are the people going to next witness what about the cabinet ministers will keep ministers
22:02keep erupting every now and then and saying i'm not happy with my portfolio i need a different
22:07portfolio so you should see the fact of the matter is uh you know it's so good to know uh
22:12that my bjp
22:13friend here wants to be a fantastic strong opposition don't worry ma'am even in 2028 we'll give
22:19you a good chance to be in the opposition don't worry your turn will come and you can be a
22:23fantastic
22:24opposition it looks like you're going to be in opposition you're already in opposition wait wait
22:28hold on your time wait up now coming to uh ma'am you spoke of the karnataka's governance and
22:33karnataka's performance getting affected ma'am are you even aware that karnataka under sidharamaya
22:38is the second largest contributor of the gdp of the nation we are number two karnataka comes number
22:42two in the congress government in gst collection bengaluru continues to be the startup capital of
22:47the east and bengaluru ma'am bengaluru is the startup capital of india agriculture has grown by
22:5340 percent the national we have outpaced can you can you allow me to complete can you learn to be
22:59civil man i did not interrupt you but tell me something new curtsy tell me something new
23:05patient this is not fair let him make his point but that is a fair point also sayyad abbas let's
23:10stick to the problem at hand while you're right and the things you're saying let's stick to the
23:14problem at hand which is that at the moment the dks government is finding it difficult to
23:19make sure that the cabinet stays intact what is the plan of action just 30 seconds i will give
23:26you the answer ma'am the fact of the matter that over the last three years of congress
23:29governance in karnataka we have outpaced the national gdb by 6.2 percent our own gdp has grown
23:35by 7.4 percent agriculture in the congress government has grown by 4 percent madam from djp comes
23:42from karnataka and she's trying to paint a poor picture of karnataka keep your petty politics
23:46okay now coming coming to the point coming to the point that was released about dk shri
23:51kumar can i can i just get 10 seconds thank you now the point that you've raised on congress
23:56party respected ma'am your own party leaders are pulling each other's leg where is your strong
24:01opposition today you called your own leader vijayandra as a super cm who's holding the remote
24:07control not allowing governance to take place hypocrisy kibisi ma hoti hai this is absolute duplicity
24:14and hypocrisy whereas you took your own leader like a yad europa threw him out of the throne
24:21so when you do it it's okay but when congress does it it is wrong this exposes your duplicity
24:28and hypocrisy but mind you let me tell you the congress government in the next two years
24:33it's going to survive and thrive okay okay i literally have a minute sayyad and let's also
24:37give surbi a chance to respond to what you've said let her make her point okay quickly surbi i just
24:41have a minute left on this none of karnataka's achievements is because of the congress government
24:46it is despite it what we're talking about no no how can it be sidramaya was a chief minister tell
24:51me
24:51what your plans are tell me what you've done for bengalim in the last three years absolutely nothing
24:55you list out there 10 indicators i can list out 10 more in fact in the home state of mr
25:00mali home district of
25:01mr malikarjun karge where per capita income is abysmally low you can tell me 10 achievements i
25:06will tell you 100 problems that are happening today what is the reason mr krishna bhairegonda
25:10does not want the portfolio why is it that bm bda and bmrda is not included why is it continue
25:16to be
25:16in the cm's post why is it that mr ramling already does not want to take up the water resources
25:20of
25:21a powerful ministry in itself why does he want bengaluru what are his grand plans for bengaluru
25:25please lay it out in the open and next time please if you're going to say that the congress is
25:30the
25:30same as the bjp bjp is the same as the congress so on and so forth it would be great
25:33to hear a
25:34congress spokesperson defending why their party is continuing to do this drama in karnataka and not
25:39delivering there is no drama karnataka is shining i'm really sorry i'm really sorry syed and surbi
25:47i'm really short on time also a reporter sya sagai raj is joining us to quickly give us details
25:52of what is slated to happen in tomorrow's meeting and how dks will be meeting the top leadership
25:58to in particular decide and discuss on how to wade through and keep the cabinet happy and of
26:05course plans for further expansion over to you sagai the karnataka chief minister dk shukumar had to
26:11keep the flock together and he will be talking to the high command and want to ensure that everybody
26:16is happy whether it is ramling reddy krishna bairagoda or case bunyapa who have openly spoken about
26:23their grievances with the cabinet uh allocation and if you notice that uh they were unhappy
26:30especially grounding lady went out to say that there was a promise which was been made by
26:33dk shukumar in 2023 stating that uh once uh the power power sharing completes in the after two and
26:41a half years he will give the cabinet of uh uh bangalore a development however here now it has not
26:47been given he has said that it is high command decision so tomorrow when he reaches delhi he will
26:52try to escalate the issue and what we also get to learn through our sources is that uh dk shukumar
26:57has promised stating that once the cabinet expansion happens where uh other 20 mleas have been sworn in
27:04as a cabinet minister at the time they will work out something and give a cabinet but and kishnibar
27:09is also unhappy stating that bmrda and bda has not been included in bangalore development so we need
27:15to wait and watch how the high command is going to tackle how they are going to address whether they
27:19will try to include bd and bm rda which is with the karnataka chief minister dk shukumar
27:24all right sakai raj we'll come back to you of course uh tomorrow is when he's stated to leave
27:28for delhi and what happens uh we'll get both the point of views but i request you to stay on
27:32with us
27:33because the other big story that made headlines from karnataka this morning and how that man who
27:38was arrested for threatening karnataka home minister priyank kharge karnataka police that arrested that 48
27:43year old man his name is sudhir bangeda he was from karkala this after he issued a death threat
27:49on social media against priyank kharge kharge junior who while interacting with india today alleged
27:55that the accused is linked to the rss but the bjp hit back at kharge saying that if you as
28:01home
28:01minister of the state is using this language saying this against the perpetrator then how are the people
28:06of karnataka expected to stay safe we're getting you all the details in this report
28:20an alleged death threat to karnataka home minister followed by an arrest an exchange of charges and a
28:27massive political slugfest a 48 year old man sudhir bangera from karkala was arrested by the
28:36karnataka police on charges of issuing a death threat to minister priyank kharge in a social
28:42media post the accused called the minister a beggar and said that the time had come to finish him off
28:48priyank kharge while interacting with india today asserted that the man issuing open threats would be
28:55taught a lesson within the ambit of the law evident on social media i have put i have already posted
29:03the
29:04comments on social media made by rss people and more importantly we have also taken taken action
29:10my question is very simple it's not even been 48 hours or three days taken charge already they're
29:17letting loose their goons to the at the home minister of karnataka and if they think that i'm
29:24going to take it lying down they're mistaken priyank's cabinet colleague and minister sharat prakash patil
29:31backed him and said that kharge cannot be threatened
29:37priyank is what priyank is raising is the right thing and because they are not able to digest it
29:43and now that uh trying to target him and they're trying to like threaten him and all you see this
29:51type of tactics to don't work on priyank the bgb on the other hand launched a scathing attack on the
29:57newly appointed karnataka home minister
30:23this comes after priyank karge targeted the rss telling it to be ready with documents
30:29i'm seeking accountability from the world's largest ngo when the prime minister of india says
30:37from the red fort that rss is the world's biggest ngo and these people are having celebrating their
30:44century in existence and we don't know anything about them in a country where even god is held
30:50accountable for the donations temple gets why why should they be held unaccountably
30:56the ls threat and the prompt arrest may only intensify the karge jr versus bjp rss showdown
31:03in karnataka with nagarjun dwarkana bureau report india today
31:10so there you see how this allegation by priyank karge and this after the man has also been arrested but
31:16how the bjp is taking him on by saying that you as the home minister of the state are saying
31:21this
31:21then how are people expected to stay safe let me take this to my colleague sagai raj who's with us
31:26on the broadcast sagai you know of course that man put out that social media post and this against
31:30priyank karge he's the home minister of the state of karnataka that man has been arrested but with
31:35regards to the politics that broke out especially the fight between the bjp and the congress and how
31:39bjp took on priyank karge
31:42so if you notice that time again priyank karge has targeted rss and bjp and after becoming the home
31:47minister he had given a warning stating that rss should be get ready with the documents and even
31:52uh with the conversation with india today he has categorically mentioned that when the temples and
31:58the gods are accountable with the money of donation and the funds that they are getting into the temple
32:02why not the rss rss should also come up with the kind of uh funds that they get and they
32:07should be
32:08showing how they are getting and how they are using those funds so he has asked for those papers
32:12and this has not gone well with rss and bjp where they have uh criticized priyank karge stating that
32:18uh he's the habitual offender who have been targeting uh rss and bjp time again and uh it doesn't mean
32:25that you if you become a home minister you get a free pass to target these organizations so they have
32:31targeted him and uh if you notice that uh priyank karge is not going to punch on all those things
32:36he has
32:37also categorically mentioned that he will ensure that whatever happens he will take necessary
32:42action under the ambit of the law and he will probably come up with the new laws where the
32:47uh he will fix the accountability on all these issues oh yes absolutely and uh we'll see what
32:54happens on that front sagai raj i request you to stay on with us as we now shift focus to
32:58the other
32:58big story that is speaking headlines from the state of karnatica yes this is about chief minister
33:03dk shiv kumar who got a grand welcome in his home constituency kanakura but what grabbed everyone's
33:09attention while it was a rousing reception and garlands were put around his neck some of those
33:13garlands that were made out of apples and flowers what dk shiv kumar did like he plucked out one of
33:19those apples from the garland took a bite of it and then threw it towards the crowd and that became
33:25the biggest talking point on social media some who looked at this as a gesture towards his supporters
33:31but some who called it rather insensitive and said that this wasn't fair on part of the chief
33:37minister to do or commit this sort of an act while all his supporters had gathered for him cheering for
33:45him take a closer look at these pictures as i also bring in my colleague sagai raj who continues to
33:50say
33:50with us on the broadcast sagai firstly how the internet is divided why people are of two opinions on this
33:56particular gesture and what had happened there so you noticed that it was a thanksgiving rally of
34:02dk shiv kumar his home constituency after becoming the chief minister so it was his first visit and
34:08there was a huge gathering which was been gathered uh in and around kanakpura which is a part of the
34:13south bengaluru and uh he he had participated in rallies and as you rightly see in the visuals that
34:19there were giant apple garlands which was being made and uh they were trying to uh put that on
34:26dk shiv kumar with using jcbs and cranes and you notice that he plucks one of the fruits from that
34:33particular garland and eats and throws off the leftover to the people this has not gone well with
34:39the people people have criticized on social media stating that uh this is unacceptable behavior by the
34:46chief minister of kadarka all right at the moment we leave it at that many thanks sagai raj for
34:52putting that into perspective
34:59cutting across to more breaking news coming in from vizac this time where a three-member committee
35:03has been appointed by the union ministry of steel that has moved in to investigate the accident that
35:08had taken place at the vishaka patnam steel plant the committee members who arrived from bokaro
35:13and they have reached vishaka patnam in fact this evening union minister of state for steel
35:18bhupati raju sri navasa varma who will meet the committee at the vishaka patnam steel plant
35:25he will review the causes of the accident and the field level situation with the committee members
35:31primarily to look into why that fire happened in the first place let me take this to my colleague
35:36apurva who will get us the very latest of how this committee has arrived how the minister met with
35:41the committee and what is to happen next
35:46this tragic accident took place yesterday and as of now what we are learning is that eight people
35:52have unfortunately lost their lives while over six have been previously injured in fact yesterday
35:57we also saw the union minister there who had come in uh you know uh kumaraswamy hd kumaraswamy
36:03he had come in there to visit with the families of the deceased as well as see the ongoing treatment
36:08for the public the people who were injured in this accident what we are getting to learn is that
36:13uh you know there are six other people who have been injured previously and they are currently
36:18are receiving treatment at the government and the top hospitals in vizak as well earlier this morning
36:24we also saw several leaders from the ruling party uh going ahead and meeting with the families now the
36:30rinl has issued a statement wherein it has regretted that this incident had taken place as an
36:36excretia that has been issued of rupees 25 lakhs for the families of deceased to be 10 lakhs for those
36:42who have been injured and so on uh but uh importantly uh one thing that we need to see is
36:48that now a
36:48three-member committee has been put in place to examine the cause of the accident was it a short
36:54circuit uh uh you know that had gone wrong or was it some kind of an electrical default or malfunction
37:00that had taken place at the vishakapatnam steel plant all of these things will be investigated by
37:05this three-member coming uh committee there as well an important step uh given that there have
37:11already been these kind of similar accidents that have taken place at the vishakapatnam steel plant
37:15earlier on as well but not to this scale uh wherein eight members have unfortunately lost their
37:20lives eight workers have unfortunately lost their lives and six others who have grievously injured
37:25uh the inquiry is uh you know already ongoing there on the ground officials along with the uh you
37:30know uh union mos has reached vishakapatnam wherein they will go ahead and take stock of the situation
37:36they will go and visit the accident site where this uh incident had taken place and not only that
37:42there will be interrogation investigation that will also be you know conducted uh with those survivors
37:47of this accident those who had managed to escape unhurt and who had seen the entire havoc take place
37:52there will be a full-fledged inquiry that will be looked into in the strategic accident all right
37:58and we await the report on what the committee finds out for the moment many thanks apurva for getting
38:02us the latest we are now shifting our focus to hyderabad where there is massive water shortage people are
38:09frustrated they are calling for tankers and remember the number of tankers that have been called for
38:14has reached a record high the water is contaminated there is shortage of water the city is not being able
38:20to grapple with it they are questioning the state of infrastructure in hyderabad we are getting you
38:26all the details in this report this as the heat wave is at its peak
38:36hyderabad is battling one of its worst water crisis in recent years
38:43across several parts of the city residents are reporting irregular water supply dry bore wells
38:50and long waits for tanker deliveries soaring temperatures and delayed monsoon rains have
38:57deepened the shortage according to hyderabad water board tanker demand has surged to record levels this year
39:21officials say daily tanker bookings which usually range between 1500 and 2000 have crossed 15,000 in recent weeks
39:32we have started even night shift also in three shifts we are working so maximum we are trying our
39:39best to give the tankers within 24 hours in some areas where demand is high in west city the more
39:47the scarcity is there groundwater so there it is taking more than a day also so but with within a
39:54two
39:55days three days time the monsters about to come we will happily manage after one residents have pointed
40:04out that the problem goes beyond scarcity seeing they are receiving contaminated water despite repeated
40:11complaints
40:23residents here claim that they have been suffering for the past six months with contaminated water and the
40:30depletion in groundwater level has caused the water supply of almost once in four to five days is what they
40:37claim. Well, the government claims that they are supplying tankers or an alternate measures
40:41are being taken. But here the residents claim that no tanker or water tanker is being supplied.
40:48The crisis has now turned political, with the BJP and the BRS criticizing the Congress
40:55government over the worsening situation.
41:00Government is negligent on this issue. They are only concerned about the politics and
41:05vote-bank politics with the Muslim Party. And for this situation, the Muslim Party and the Congress
41:12Party both are responsible because today the municipal corporation, till yesterday, it was with them.
41:17We've been touring the constituency since morning and till there are many houses which haven't
41:23witnessed water supply for the last three to four days. And that too, many houses have been affected
41:29with contaminated water. For the 10 years, we haven't seen any kind of water crisis in Hyderabad.
41:35But after Ravent Reddy coming back into power in just two and a half years, completely things
41:41have been changed, completely the Hyderabad civil infrastructure has collapsed.
41:48Officials have said that upcoming Godavri drinking water projects and expanded rainwater harvesting
41:53efforts should ease pressure on the city's supply network.
41:57But with significant monsoon relief still awaited, Hyderabad's dependence on water tankers continues
42:05to grow. With Abdul Bashir, Bureau Report, India Today.
42:12And while we're now getting you details of Prada, that is now not just dressing up fashion and
