00:00Let's turn to our Get Real India story. A lot of focus in recent weeks has been on the NEAT
00:04and
00:04CBSE exams. But what of the examinations that involve government job seekers, lacks of government
00:11job aspirants in India? The examination process begins long before they even enter the examination
00:19hall. It starts on crowded railway platforms, inside packed train compartments and through
00:25sleepless nights, waiting for a chance to even enter the examination centre. Chaotic scenes
00:32have been witnessed at several railway stations across Uttar Pradesh as aspirants travelled in
00:39pursuit of their dream government job. It's our Get Real India story.
01:00Packed trains, overflowing platform. It's an endless hours of waiting. Some spread bedsheets
01:13on station floors, others make do with plastic sheets. It's a familiar scene year after year.
01:21Every recruitment exam brings with it not just the test of knowledge, but the test of
01:26endurance. From towns and villages across Suttar Pradesh, thousands set out with a single
01:33goal, clearing the UP constable exam.
02:00Nearly 28.9 lakh candidates competing for just 32,600
02:05and 79 constable vacancies. The odds are daunting. The journey even more so. Making it to the
02:13exam hall is just the first hurdle. What they fear most are paper leaks and cancelled tests.
02:22This is the first hurdle for us. The results will come out and will make a decision for us.
02:28I will tell you that the paper leaks are completely missing. For me it is very important.
02:31Just the paper leaks will not happen. Just the paper leaks will just happen. Just the
02:36fact that the paper leaks will be fine. Just the fact that the people have been telling me,
02:41People are talking about the people of the lake.
03:21They have battled for space on trains.
03:24They're also fighting a system that has repeatedly tested their patients with leaks and poor infrastructure.
03:47This time, we hope the test measures only their merit.
