00:33and stepped up security across the region. Tensions then boiled over in Ravala court.
00:37Clashes broke out between protesters and security forces, leaving several people dead and many others injured.
00:43Pakistani authorities say protesters attacked security personnel, while activists accused security forces of opening fire on civilians.
00:50The immediate trigger for the protest was a court ruling that upheld 12 seats in the region's assembly,
00:55reserved for Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan, a provision long opposed by JAAC.
