As TWCU Credit Union keeps its focus on modernising its systems, it has launched a digital platform and online portal to better serve its members.

The Credit Union is promising faster processing times and more efficiency in providing service.

00:01TWCU, Credit Union Cooperative Society Limited, is marking 76 years in the industry.
00:07But, it is also celebrating the launch of its digital platform and loan application and membership portal.
00:14The Credit Union's General Manager, Shulam McEchnie-Christmas, states that
00:18Convenience, speed and accessibility are an expectation, especially among younger people,
00:24which is what LAMP is seeking to facilitate.
00:26The introduction of our online loan application portal and digital membership registration system
00:35is intended to significantly improve service delivery by reducing processing times,
00:43simplifying the application process and increasing accessibility both for current and prospective members.
00:51Internally, LAMP is an advancement at modernization,
00:55aiding in efficiency in the application to approval process.
01:00Members will now have the ability to begin their journey with TWCU Credit Union online,
01:08submit applications digitally and access information more quickly and conveniently than ever before.
01:16This platform enhances our ability to communicate more effectively with members and respond to their needs in a timely manner.
01:28And TWCU's President Andrea Beddo adds to that.
01:33It is about removing barriers.
01:35We want our members to have the ability to interact with the society in a faster, smarter and more convenient
01:43way,
01:45whether from their homes, workplaces or mobile devices.
01:50LAMP allows for the digital signing of loan applications as well.
01:54According to Systems Administrator David Boudram,
01:57the platform and portal are part of phase one in TWCU's technical advancement with inclusion in mind.
02:05This is what social responsibility and member empowerment.
02:08We are actively exploring solutions to improve further accessibility for members with disabilities,
02:17for members who are visually impaired, who may face challenges accessing financial services.
02:24Another part of that vision is the inclusion of a fintech solution to all our members, especially our entrepreneurs.
02:33It will provide a cashless system, probably the first of its kind within the cooperative movement.
02:42Registration links for the platform are to be sent out to TWCU's members,
02:47and they will be given assistance to become familiar with using it.
