00:00The DigiCell Foundation states that from inception to now, the EPIC program has been responsible for 160 projects, representing roughly over $50 million worth of investment, with 88,000 people across communities benefiting from the initiative.
00:17Chairman of the DigiCell Foundation, Deesha Clifford, announced that energy giant Shell, which joined as partner in 2023, has renewed its partnership for another three years.
00:28The DigiCell Foundation and Shell have supported 10 non-governmental organizations this cycle, with focus areas including sports development, technology and digitalization, and environmental sustainability.
00:44And she explained the purpose and significance of the EPIC program.
00:48Now, this year holds an even deeper significance for us, as our close partner, Shell Trinan Tobago, has signed this year a three-year partnership with us, representing a joint investment of $3.8 million to strengthen the reach and sustainability of the EPIC program.

01:25Managing Council, LNG, and Head of Legal, Trinidad and Tobago, Latin America and the Caribbean, highlighted what sets the EPIC program apart.
01:35What makes EPIC truly extraordinary is the hope that it brings, hope that real change is possible, hope that no idea is too small, that age, background, or experience doesn't determine your impact, your willingness does.
01:53We've seen teenagers create solutions that shift mindsets, and community elders bring decades of wisdom into brand new spaces.
02:03Over 100 applications were submitted in the various categories.
02:08Following training provided by the foundation, 15 finalists were shortlisted and pitched their projects, from which 10 were chosen.
02:17This year, the awardees included the Sisters Uplifting Sisters, Scouts Association of Trinidad and Tobago,
02:24two groups in the sports development and five groups in the technology and digitalization were awarded $100,000 each for their projects.
