Rushing an Accident Victim, They Met the Same Fate: 5 Killed After Car Crashes Into Dumper

A tragic road accident on the Morbi-Halvad Highway claimed the lives of five young men and left two others critically injured on Saturday night (5 June 2026) after their car crashed into a dumper near Charadwa village.

According to police and local sources, the accident occurred at around 9.30 pm when the car carrying seven people was travelling at high speed towards a hospital. The group was taking an injured man, who had earlier met with a motorcycle accident near Mansar village in Halvad taluka, for emergency treatment.

Initial investigations suggest that a heavy dumper suddenly entered the highway after exiting a nearby factory. Despite the driver's attempt to apply the brakes, the car rammed into the dumper with tremendous force.

The impact was devastating, completely crushing the front portion of the vehicle and trapping it beneath the dumper. Several occupants were trapped inside the mangled wreckage.

The victims were residents of Ranchhodgarh village and had rushed to help the injured motorcyclist before the fatal collision.

The deceased have been identified as Premji Dadheya, a taluka panchayat member of the Aam Aadmi Party, Suresh Sihora (47), Viram Dadheya (28), Paresh Dadheya (24), and Bharat Dadheya (39).

Three victims died on the spot due to severe injuries, while two others succumbed during treatment at a hospital.

The two survivors, Prakash Dadheya and Dilip Dadheya, sustained serious injuries and remain in critical condition. They are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Morbi and Rajkot.

Emergency response teams and local volunteers worked together to rescue the trapped passengers before ambulances shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.

After receiving information about the accident, police officials from Halvad taluka reached the spot and launched an investigation. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examinations, while investigators are collecting evidence to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.

Preliminary findings indicate that the dumper was crossing the highway after exiting a factory when the accident occurred.
