00:00Going through, like, a lot of bands like this.
00:04The Killers.
00:07I forgot who else.
00:09The Strokes.
00:10Strokes slid in there.
00:12You know, and I'll be honest with you, ladies, she ain't be listening.
00:18I just thought she could have given a better effort.
00:20Damn.
00:21I did.
00:22I didn't think.
00:23Was it more the guitar playing or her voice?
00:25It was both.
00:27I just didn't think she.
00:28Her heart wasn't in.
00:29I didn't think she brought it.
00:30I thought she could have been louder, giving me some more feel.
00:36Do it, lady.
00:37And I was about three deep.
00:39I believe the Killers, I think Blink-182, she slid in there.
00:44And I told everybody at the table, I said, if she plays,
00:48if she moves to Kings of Leon and she gives this piss-poor effort,
00:52I'm going to walk up there and take the guitar out of her hands.
00:55That's your favorite.
00:57She played, she started to play this song, I almost walked up there.
01:01Little you somebody, huh?
01:02I don't think Courtney was down for that, but I almost turned around.
01:04Was she playing like a real mellow version of you somebody?
01:07She was playing everything mellow.
01:09What's wrong with that, man?
01:10I just didn't.
01:11Like, if you're going to go.
01:12Sit down and relax, man.
01:13If it's a Saturday night, Rustic has live music, you're going to go.
01:15Sniff some draws.
01:16Sit down and relax, man.
01:16I didn't want to sniff no draws.
01:18I didn't need to.
01:18I mean, I'm just like, come on and bring it, ma'am.
01:21Yeah, if you're going to do it, do it.
01:23I've been roaming around, always looking down, and all I see.
01:28I mean, could she sing, though?
01:31I don't know.
01:32I couldn't tell.
01:33She was doing it half-heartedly.
01:34I just like, if you're not going to have confidence,
01:36or you're not going to bring it on a Saturday night at the Rustic.
01:38She just knew who she was.
01:42Uptown.
01:42Come on.
01:43It's kind of like you, refusing to wear a boot.
01:44You just feel like, I mean, you feel like that.
01:46I'm not going to go up there and be the center of attention
01:50with the not wearing the boots.
01:52You're going to do Kings of Leon.
01:55But listen, I think it was terrible what she did with Mr. Brightside.
01:58I don't know.
01:59I think you've got to bring it with the killers.
02:02I think.
02:03How does that song go?
02:05Give it to him, Tyler.
02:08How's the start?
02:09I know, like, the chorus.
02:13It's a great tune.
02:15Summer of, what was that, 2004?
02:17It was annoying.
02:19I just wish she picked it up a bit.
02:21All right.
02:22Do you feel like Tyler?
02:23Because Tyler said this, we came in, and the Astros, they get another win.
02:28They take three or four from the Rangers, seven and three on the road trip
02:32as they come back home to the Dyken to take on the first-place Brewers.
02:36But they are now two and a half games behind now the Mariners,
02:39and they sit 26 and 32.
02:43And, Tyler, this is the most hope you've had all season.
02:48Because the last time I did an update check with you and all of you,
02:52none of y'all were paying money to go to the Dyken.
02:55None of y'all were going to games.
02:56No chance.
02:57Many of you were texting in, not going to games.
02:59And I'm just – now you're saying this is the most hope you have felt
03:03since the first week of the season.
03:05Yes, sir.
03:06Yeah, two and a half games back, like you said,
03:08you're Don, best hitter in baseball.
03:10You are starting to see guys slowly but steadily get healthy
03:14and rejoin the team.
03:15We really need those arms to get healthy now.
03:18We've got Pena back and some of these hitters,
03:20but the arms will start to get healthy.
03:22And you can be sitting nice because the A.O. West is a disaster.
03:26So there is hope for the first time in my eyes
03:29since the first week of this baseball season.
03:32Like you're going to go to a game?
03:33I kind of – I don't want to.
03:35Are you still – are you still – are you still not quite ready to commit yet?
03:40I've been getting the itch.
03:41Maybe a dollar dog night or something.
03:43Because there is some hope.
03:44There is some hope.
03:45By the way, you've got Spencer or Getty now.
03:48Whew.
03:48Clint, we're going to have to start potentially –
03:50I'm not saying we've got to all the way get there.
03:53But we've got to start potentially having a different conversation
03:55about Spencer or Getty.
03:57This is becoming an eight-start sample size now.
04:00And to go along with he started to put it together two years ago
04:04towards the end of the year, you start combining that.
04:08Like you have said repeatedly, hey, man, is this guy, you know,
04:12a third or a fourth starter?
04:14And I didn't think there was anything wrong with that thought process.
04:17But, I mean, we've got to start looking at this, Cat.
04:21Is this a potential two and a one-two punch?
04:26Is this – that's –
04:27Looking like it.
04:28That has been the hallmark of the Astros in this run.
04:32Whether it's been Verlander and Cole.
04:35Whether it's been Verlander and Grinke.
04:39Whether it's been Grinke and McCullers.
04:41And I know it's hard for you guys to remember McCullers,
04:44but that one year McCullers was – pitched his ass off before it all came to hell
04:48in a handbasket in Chicago.
04:50But Framber and Verlander.
04:53Framber and Hunter Brown.
04:55Like, there's been a one-two punch.
04:58I'm not saying you're all the way there yet, but this dude –
05:01I mean, he's an all-star.
05:03Yes.
05:04And he is – he has pitched at Cy Young level.
05:07Last night, another six innings.
05:08One earned, three Ks.
05:10Gave up the one home run and got up out of there.
05:13And he's sitting here seven and eight starts with a 1.34 ERA.
05:20Like that, like –
05:20And last night was far from Errogetti's best stuff.
05:23No.
05:24But he put it together.
05:25This ain't Pete Lambert just running across two or three starts here.
05:29Big Pete.
05:30This is eight.
05:31This is eight starts.
05:32And a guy who consistently misses bats.
05:36So, I don't know, man.
05:37Man, we might need to not put him in this number three, number four starter box
05:44that potentially we've been putting him in.
05:46Maybe Hunter Brown and Spencer Errogetti is the next one-two punch.
05:50I don't want to get out over my skis, but damn.
05:54This is a different look.
05:56By the way, someone just texted in,
05:57and Ryan and the Astros still aren't getting any of my money.
05:59Okay.
06:01I mean, you're right.
06:02I mean, they are still pretty deep under .500.
06:06But, I don't know.
06:07I wondered how many people were getting a different feel.
06:10Were getting a different feel like Tyler.
06:12Three pitchers and three starting pitchers in all of Major League Baseball right now
06:17have more wins than him.
06:19Have eight.
06:20There's three guys with eight.
06:22He's tied with four or five guys with seven.
06:25And if you look at it, he's got seven wins and eight starts.
06:30All of the guys that are ahead of him have 11 or 12 starts.
06:34Got three or four more starts than him to get to the eight number.
06:37He's got seven and eight starts.
06:39So, yeah, man.
06:40I mean, look, as you said, this is an all-star type performance.
06:43If he keeps it up, he's going to be in the early Cy Young conversation.
06:46The one-two punch, I think, is very real.
06:49I mean, I still think that it's – he just – he's a guy that –
06:53hell, I thought I was paying him a compliment and tip of the cap
06:56to say he's a number three starter in a rotation.
07:00And that's where his ceiling was.
07:01But to your point, yeah, he's pitching like a guy that could be a one-two punch
07:05with Hunter Brown.
07:06And he's got that chip on his shoulder, I guess.
07:09You know what I mean?
07:09Left him off the opening day roster.
07:11Whether it was because he missed a few days with that baby being born or not,
07:16it clearly lit a fire under his ass, and he is rocking and rolling.
07:19Yeah, this isn't like – this isn't like Emai.
07:25If you watched Emai's game where he hit a no-hitter, he threw no-hit –
07:28six no-hit innings.
07:31I mean, they probably – what, did they hit about five or six balls
07:34over 100 miles an hour?
07:35I mean, he –
07:36Tall, tall Asian guy.
07:38Yeah, he had some tagged.
07:39I don't know how tall he is, but he had some tagged.
07:42Like, this is like Spencer Arrighetti is consistently coming out
07:47and missing bats, getting swings and misses.
07:50He's got 46 strikeouts on the season.
07:53Now, he walks a little bit.
07:54You know, you can get that.
07:55The walks, and can he give you more innings in each start?
08:00But other than that, man, dude is –
08:02Thriving.
08:03Dude is making it feel real and not –
08:08Oh, man, he's on a hot streak.
08:10Right.
08:10Every start, right, besides the one under two earned runs given up?
08:15Yep.
08:15I mean, that's ace-level stuff.
08:18No, it is.
08:19No, it is.
08:19It is.
08:20And, yeah, but are you feeling hope like Tyler?
08:24Oh, yeah, look, I'm feeling hope.
08:26I didn't get off the wagon.
08:27Proud of it at this moment right now.
08:28I didn't get off the Astro wagon.
08:31And this is why.
08:32You know, they're playing really good baseball.
08:35They're in a division.
08:36They're going to have games back to wild card as well, y'all.
08:38So, I mean, they're right there in the thick of things.
08:40I know the division sucks, but this is early enough in the season where if you can get
08:43back into an arm length distance from the division, you can get back into some level of
08:49respectful level according to Major League Baseball, not just a piss-poor division.
08:54So, yeah, hell yeah, man.
08:56Man, this winning streak right here, you keep this thing, you stay hot, and some of the
09:00guys that you had high expectations for, Mike Burroughs, some of the guys, the MI, obviously,
09:05Spencer Arrighetti.
09:06If those guys continue to pitch well, and like Tyler said, when you get guys back like Pena,
09:10and Pena starts swinging the bat well and is clearly the leadoff guy, and your defense
09:17gets better when he's on the field, obviously.
09:19So, yeah, hell yeah, man, that's money.
09:22Now you start talking about the big guns coming back with Altuve and Hayter and Hunter Brown,
09:28and you start getting those guys back in the mix.
09:30Now you're talking about moving the needle big time.
09:32Yeah, it's about the pitching, and that's the most, I guess, real thing.
09:40You see what Spencer was able to do yesterday, and then we see what Emai was able to do,
09:49and Mike Burroughs was able to do.
09:50You feel like you really got a chance, you know, in those.
09:54I mean, obviously, Jason Alexander had the, I'll give up eight in the first inning game,
09:58but outside of that, like, you've, he's gone, but outside of that, you feel pretty good coming
10:05up this weekend, a little Tang tonight, Pete Lambert, and he might.
10:10That's the, that's the three pitching at the dyke.
10:12Abre, you got him another, got him another one last night when he used to be back in the fold.
10:19I don't want to speak too much.
10:20I think he's back.
10:21I mean, this is, this is about eight or nine straight out.
10:24I didn't see it last night, but that Pearson cat got out there.
10:27I got, he's wanting to turn you on a bit now.
10:29Looks like you don't really know where that ball's going.
10:31Yeah, it's all right.
10:32Which is good, which is good for hitters.
10:35Cause they, they, they don't know.
10:36They don't know.
10:36That's right.
10:37Might hit me in the rib cage.
10:39He might be running that bad boy up there.
10:42Wild thing.
10:43He sounds like he hits the, uh, the, I want him to wear a mic.
10:46I feel like he hits a Serena.
10:48Serena every time he pitches.
10:52I think it'd be more Maria Sharapova.
10:55I don't like, I've ever heard.
10:57No, I don't think he doesn't look like a guy or at least Rick, uh, he's a grunner,
11:04not a moaner.
11:04He's a grunner.
11:05He's a moaner.
11:07Yeah.
11:07See, that's not, that's, that's reserved for the female on the other side of it.
11:12Tennis perverts.
11:15I know what y'all are thinking out there.
11:17You dirty dog.
11:18Exactly what I was thinking.
11:19All right.
11:19Coming up.
11:20Um, there's sometimes we have topics or conversations where I know that, that people are, uh, people
11:29are going to give us hell on the text line and YouTube and Twitch.
11:32And I know they are, and this is going to be unpopular to some, but I know that there
11:36are a few of you who, who are with us and we do this because we're going to speak honestly
11:42and not just, uh, and I just say things you want to hear, but all jokes aside, this is
11:48something that needs to stop.
11:50And this is something that Clint said was the most important thing that the head coach
11:56did all day yesterday.
11:57We'll just.
