00:00:01Welcome back to Common Sense Bible Study.

00:00:04We are at Romans 15, verse 5.

00:00:32And in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy.

00:00:36As it is written,

00:00:41And again it is said,

00:00:43And again,

00:00:47And again,

00:00:51I forgot to put verse numbers in there,

00:01:15but it's all one sentence anyways.

00:01:19The entire book of Romans is practically one long sentence.

00:01:23So the God of endurance and encouragement,

00:01:25what do you think Paul means by endurance on the part of God?

00:01:30How is he a God of endurance?

00:01:33He's endured the disobedience of his people and his long suffering.

00:01:38Yeah, exactly.

00:01:39The King James actually translates that as patience.

00:01:42That gets the meaning across better than the ESV does.

00:01:45I think the ESV's translation might be more literal,

00:01:47in this case,

00:01:49at least in modern English.

00:01:50But King James gets the meaning across.

00:01:53It's his endurance with us.

00:01:55Because we are such a pain in his neck.

00:01:58Our pain in his side,

00:01:59more literally.

00:02:01And a God of encouragement.

00:02:03How is he a God of encouragement?

00:02:05Anyone have ideas on that one?

00:02:08So becoming redeemer,

00:02:09and kingdom age for the remnant.

00:02:13He encourages us in that,

00:02:15as far as looking back at the redemptive act of Yeshua?

00:02:20Mm-hmm.

00:02:22Or however.

00:02:24Oh, okay.

00:02:25So I guess from the perspective prior to,

00:02:29it would be those who believed what the prophets said,

00:02:33the remnants that believed what the prophets said,

00:02:34that they saw,

00:02:37at least in writing,

00:02:39the new age and the two sticks being joined back together,

00:02:43the land being restored,

00:02:45and righteous ruling from the king, Elohim.

00:02:49And then looking back at the event of salvation,

00:02:54would be that it was witnessed that the flesh of El Shaddai

00:03:00actually manifested and walked the walk

00:03:06and fulfilled the prophecies,

00:03:08fulfilled the law,

00:03:10didn't abolish,

00:03:12then performed that final act of redemptive ratification

00:03:18that was promised back to Abraham,

00:03:21and then the writings following that.

00:03:24Yeah, yeah.

00:03:25That's perfect,

00:03:25because this is another place where I think King James

00:03:28actually has better wording,

00:03:31and it uses the word consolation.

00:03:34And I think that's better,

00:03:35because just like you're saying, Timothy,

00:03:37that this refers back to all of those prophecies,

00:03:40all the promises of God's redemption.

00:03:44You know, there's one passage,

00:03:46let me pull it up here,

00:03:49it's in Psalm 119,

00:03:52Psalm 119, 80 something.

00:03:55Yeah, it's starting in verse 81.

00:03:57My soul languishes for your salvation,

00:04:00I wait for your word,

00:04:01my eyes fail with longing for your word.

00:04:04While I say,

00:04:05when will you comfort me?

00:04:06Though I have become like a wineskin in the smoke,

00:04:08I do not forget your statutes.

00:04:10How many are the days of your servant?

00:04:12When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me?

00:04:15The arrogant have dug pits for me,

00:04:17men who are not in accord with your laws.

00:04:19All your commandments are faithful.

00:04:21They have persecuted me with a lie,

00:04:24help me.

00:04:25They almost destroyed me on earth.

00:04:27But as for me,

00:04:27I do not forsake your precepts.

00:04:30Revive me according to your loving kindness,

00:04:31so that I may keep the testimony of your mouth.

00:04:34This is the story of Israel.

00:04:38Their disobedience,

00:04:40persecution,

00:04:41repentance,

00:04:43more persecution,

00:04:44and eventually God takes vengeance on their enemies

00:04:47and restores them

00:04:49into his good graces.

00:04:50And this pattern has gone through,

00:04:53happens with Abraham and Sarah in Egypt.

00:04:56Sarah is,

00:04:57at least is a prophetic image.

00:04:59Sarah is temporarily taken away into the Pharaoh's house.

00:05:02Then Pharaoh is threatened

00:05:03and Sarah is restored.

00:05:05Same thing happens with Rebecca later.

00:05:07And then it happens with the entire nation

00:05:10when they are all enslaved in Egypt.

00:05:12Pharaoh is threatened,

00:05:14Egypt is punished,

00:05:15and the people are restored.

00:05:16And this is the consolation of Israel.

00:05:21That despite whatever is happening in the world,

00:05:24whatever persecution or oppression they're under,

00:05:27God always redeems his people.

00:05:29He always draws them back to repentance,

00:05:31which is a critical part of that restoration.

00:05:36But included in that promise

00:05:38is the promise of the Messiah

00:05:40and the kingdom

00:05:41and being restored to the land

00:05:43and living in peace.

00:05:44All of this is the consolation of God.

00:05:47And we can call him a God of endurance

00:05:49and encouragement

00:05:50because of his loving kindness,

00:05:52because he says

00:05:53that he

00:05:56he has long suffering.

00:05:58He endures our unfaithfulness

00:05:59and promises to forgive it

00:06:02when we repent

00:06:03and then promises to restore us

00:06:06to even greater position

00:06:08than we had before.

00:06:10So endurance through our sin,

00:06:12encouragement that

00:06:13despite our past sins

00:06:15and the oppression and persecution

00:06:18that we might be under today,

00:06:20our repentance is followed by restoration.

00:06:23And that is the common theme

00:06:25throughout the prophets.

00:06:26It's all the way through Genesis

00:06:28and it's through

00:06:30it's a recurring theme

00:06:32all the way through Isaiah.

00:06:34We'll see that again

00:06:35with one of the quotes

00:06:36that Paul makes

00:06:37in a few verses down

00:06:38if we get there.

00:06:39So then Paul says,

00:06:41may God grant you to live

00:06:43in such harmony with one another.

00:06:45This word such

00:06:46seems to imply

00:06:47that he is

00:06:49saying a

00:06:50like referring to

00:06:51a specific kind of harmony.

00:06:52What is he comparing this to?

00:06:54I think that's just a quirk

00:06:56of the English.

00:06:57It's possible

00:06:58that he's

00:07:00referring to the harmony

00:07:01where it says

00:07:02like in accord

00:07:03with Christ Jesus

00:07:04like this harmony

00:07:05of God working

00:07:07with Yeshua

00:07:08to enact this plan

00:07:10of

00:07:11consolation

00:07:12with Israel.

00:07:13That may be

00:07:14what he's referring to.

00:07:15That's such harmony.

00:07:16And that would make sense

00:07:17how God is

00:07:19the Father and Son

00:07:21work in concert

00:07:22in harmony

00:07:23with each other

00:07:24to make sure

00:07:25that the Father's plans

00:07:26are carried out

00:07:28in the world.

00:07:29And so

00:07:30we are supposed

00:07:31to work together.

00:07:32One of the things

00:07:33that Paul has said

00:07:34over the last chapter

00:07:35and a half

00:07:36that we've been reading

00:07:37is that we should

00:07:38set aside our own needs

00:07:39in favor of

00:07:41the needs

00:07:41of our community.

00:07:43If there is

00:07:45somebody who's suffering,

00:07:46somebody who is

00:07:48confused

00:07:49or weaker in faith,

00:07:50that when it's possible

00:07:52we should set aside

00:07:54the things

00:07:54that we want

00:07:55in order to

00:07:56encourage them

00:07:57and to bring them

00:07:58forward

00:07:59to disciple them

00:08:01into the place

00:08:01that God needs them to be

00:08:03without being

00:08:04offensive

00:08:04or too harsh on them.

00:08:07And this is a big part

00:08:08of what it means

00:08:08to live in harmony

00:08:09with one another.

00:08:11It often means

00:08:13I can't think

00:08:14of the right word

00:08:16subordinating

00:08:17our own desires

00:08:19to those

00:08:20of the body

00:08:21as a whole.

00:08:22Hopefully that's

00:08:23not just a rant

00:08:23and that makes sense.

00:08:25Paul uses words

00:08:26in harmony

00:08:28and in accord

00:08:30in verse 5

00:08:31and then in 6

00:08:32that together

00:08:34you may with one voice

00:08:35glorify God.

00:08:37And it's very poetic

00:08:39and it makes it sound

00:08:40like Paul is talking

00:08:41about singing.

00:08:42We're supposed to be

00:08:43singing in one accord

00:08:44like this is talking

00:08:45about psalms

00:08:45or hymns

00:08:46or something.

00:08:48I suspect

00:08:49that the translators

00:08:50of the ESV

00:08:51did that on purpose

00:08:52because I don't think

00:08:53that was Paul's intent.

00:08:55It's a nice picture

00:08:56and I agree with it

00:08:57but I don't think

00:08:59Paul was meaning

00:08:59to make musical

00:09:01allusions here

00:09:02that you may

00:09:03with one voice

00:09:04glorify God

00:09:05is more about

00:09:07speaking in unison.

00:09:10Not necessarily

00:09:11that we all have

00:09:11to agree on everything

00:09:12but we are not

00:09:14fighting about anything.

00:09:15that we're not

00:09:16bickering with each other

00:09:17and dividing

00:09:18over petty issues

00:09:20and then

00:09:21that are

00:09:22especially

00:09:23our face to the world.

00:09:25We are the body

00:09:26of Christ

00:09:28and

00:09:29when we

00:09:30when the world

00:09:31looks at us

00:09:32they're supposed

00:09:32to see him

00:09:33in us

00:09:34and if we are

00:09:35fighting with each other

00:09:36and constantly

00:09:37at odds

00:09:38and

00:09:39not getting along

00:09:41that

00:09:41that brings shame

00:09:42on him

00:09:43on his name

00:09:44it

00:09:45doesn't

00:09:46nobody really cares

00:09:47so much about us

00:09:48but

00:09:48if we're going to be

00:09:49carrying this

00:09:50that name around

00:09:51whether we call

00:09:52ourselves

00:09:52disciples of Yeshua

00:09:53or Christians

00:09:54or

00:09:55whatever label

00:09:56you want to pick

00:09:56they're going to

00:09:58associate your behavior

00:09:59with that label

00:10:00and if that label

00:10:01has anything to do

00:10:02with God

00:10:03the Father

00:10:04the Son

00:10:05any of that

00:10:06they're going to get

00:10:07painted with your

00:10:08attitude

00:10:09and your behavior

00:10:10our behavior

00:10:12so

00:10:13we have to be careful

00:10:14that even when we have

00:10:15disagreements

00:10:16that

00:10:18we don't allow those

00:10:19to become points of division

00:10:20that we will work

00:10:22with each other

00:10:22and disciple each other

00:10:23encouraging

00:10:24and

00:10:25enduring

00:10:26like God

00:10:26so that we can

00:10:28work and speak

00:10:29in harmony

00:10:29I think the connection

00:10:31there

00:10:31for me at least

00:10:32was

00:10:33when Paul was saying

00:10:35oh

00:10:36subordinate

00:10:37you're basically

00:10:38subordinating your

00:10:38flesh

00:10:39to

00:10:40meet people

00:10:41where they are

00:10:42as I think

00:10:42is

00:10:42where you're headed

00:10:44but

00:10:46Paul

00:10:46mentions that

00:10:47when he says

00:10:49I become a Greek

00:10:50to the Greeks

00:10:50and

00:10:51a Jew

00:10:52to the Jews

00:10:54when he's

00:10:54neither

00:10:56he'd crossed over

00:10:57he was like

00:10:57in the river of life

00:10:58following Yeshua

00:10:59he wasn't following

00:11:00Judaic traditions

00:11:01and everything else

00:11:02and he certainly

00:11:03wasn't going to

00:11:05join the Greeks

00:11:06but

00:11:07when he was

00:11:08talking with

00:11:08the Greeks

00:11:10at least

00:11:11like in Acts 17

00:11:13and

00:11:13other spots

00:11:16he clearly

00:11:18knew where

00:11:18they were coming

00:11:19from

00:11:19which is

00:11:19what

00:11:20we talked

00:11:21about

00:11:23at the beginning

00:11:24there

00:11:24which is why

00:11:25I try to listen

00:11:26to everybody

00:11:27and try to

00:11:28understand

00:11:28as much as I can

00:11:29about

00:11:29where people are

00:11:30so that

00:11:32I can

00:11:33maybe

00:11:35drop a line

00:11:36and tie a thread

00:11:37to what they're thinking

00:11:37that might lead them

00:11:39to a better

00:11:40understanding

00:11:41of what

00:11:42the creator

00:11:43God Almighty

00:11:44wants

00:11:44but yeah

00:11:45anyway

00:11:45so he was saying

00:11:46I'm going to

00:11:46become a Jew

00:11:47to the Jew

00:11:47and a Greek

00:11:48to the Greeks

00:11:48and he can

00:11:49do that

00:11:50because he has

00:11:50freedom in Yeshua

00:11:52and he knows

00:11:53that he's not

00:11:54emotionally tied

00:11:54to one or the other

00:11:56yeah

00:11:57and like you're saying

00:11:58never actually

00:11:59becoming a Greek

00:12:00or becoming

00:12:02going back

00:12:03to those

00:12:03Pharisaical roots

00:12:04Paul always

00:12:05identified as a Pharisee

00:12:07and

00:12:08but he never

00:12:09went back

00:12:09to the

00:12:10elevating man's

00:12:11traditions

00:12:12over God's commandments

00:12:13and on the other

00:12:14side

00:12:15when he says

00:12:15to the Greek

00:12:16I became like a Greek

00:12:18he never went

00:12:19and started

00:12:20worshipping Zeus

00:12:21or doing any

00:12:22of the stuff

00:12:22that Greeks did

00:12:23yeah

00:12:24like you're saying

00:12:25he met them

00:12:25at their level

00:12:26where they were at

00:12:26so that

00:12:28he could lead them

00:12:29to where they're

00:12:29supposed to be

00:12:31right

00:12:31that was one of the

00:12:32things I ran into

00:12:33when I was speaking

00:12:33with Michael

00:12:34we were sitting

00:12:34talking and he said

00:12:35you don't really

00:12:37believe all that

00:12:38much different

00:12:38than we do

00:12:39and I said

00:12:41thank you

00:12:41that's exactly

00:12:42my point

00:12:42I still know

00:12:44that you can't

00:12:45get saved

00:12:46by your own works

00:12:47I still know

00:12:47you can't

00:12:49please God

00:12:50with just works

00:12:51and ticking off boxes

00:12:52it has to be

00:12:53a matter of first

00:12:54faithfulness

00:12:55and love for him

00:12:55and then because

00:12:56of that love

00:12:57for him

00:12:57you're walking

00:12:58and working out

00:12:59your own salvation

00:13:01and blah blah blah

00:13:02so that

00:13:03so there was

00:13:04really

00:13:04it was extremely

00:13:05rewarding

00:13:06and edifying

00:13:06in my own guts

00:13:07when they said

00:13:08that because

00:13:09that meant

00:13:10that I had

00:13:11actually managed

00:13:11to plant

00:13:12a seed

00:13:13of reason

00:13:15and understanding

00:13:17which

00:13:17I tend to

00:13:19I can in many

00:13:19cases

00:13:20bulldoze people

00:13:21and

00:13:23win an argument

00:13:24instead of a heart

00:13:25oh yeah

00:13:26I know

00:13:27what you mean

00:13:27and yeah

00:13:28that is good

00:13:29and

00:13:30I've seen

00:13:31first hand

00:13:32how

00:13:33somebody

00:13:34who is

00:13:35determined

00:13:35to see

00:13:36the differences

00:13:37rather than

00:13:38the bottom line

00:13:40core values

00:13:41the similarities

00:13:42there

00:13:43will cause

00:13:44no end

00:13:45of problems

00:13:46and it is

00:13:48when we start

00:13:49focusing on

00:13:49the little

00:13:50things

00:13:51that

00:13:52when I say

00:13:53little things

00:13:53they're

00:13:55it's a relative

00:13:56term

00:13:57talking about

00:13:58obedience to

00:13:59God's commandments

00:14:00we have

00:14:00it's always

00:14:01important

00:14:02all of God's

00:14:03commandments

00:14:03are important

00:14:04but

00:14:05we all have

00:14:06different ideas

00:14:06of what they

00:14:07mean

00:14:07and

00:14:09they're

00:14:09most of the

00:14:10time we have

00:14:11good reasons

00:14:11for the way

00:14:12that we think

00:14:12in the way

00:14:13that we have

00:14:13interpreted

00:14:14the commandments

00:14:15and

00:14:15where there's

00:14:16room for

00:14:17disagreement

00:14:18about things

00:14:19where

00:14:20and especially

00:14:21where it comes

00:14:22to things

00:14:22that don't

00:14:23actually affect

00:14:24how we live

00:14:25those things

00:14:26should always

00:14:27take a back

00:14:27burner

00:14:27those should

00:14:28never be

00:14:29front and

00:14:29center

00:14:29in defining

00:14:30who we are

00:14:31because they

00:14:32just don't

00:14:33matter

00:14:34it's a

00:14:34relationship

00:14:35to the

00:14:35father

00:14:36and

00:14:37through

00:14:38the son

00:14:39and

00:14:39do we

00:14:41know who

00:14:41the son

00:14:41is

00:14:41and do

00:14:42we know

00:14:42are we

00:14:43relying on

00:14:43him

00:14:44in his

00:14:44sacrifice

00:14:45for our

00:14:45eternal

00:14:46fate

00:14:46and not

00:14:47ourselves

00:14:47these things

00:14:49are critical

00:14:50and the

00:14:51basics of

00:14:52how we

00:14:52treat other

00:14:53people

00:14:53are we

00:14:55out in

00:14:56life for

00:14:57ourselves

00:14:57trying to

00:14:57get whatever

00:14:58we can

00:14:58and running

00:15:00over everyone

00:15:00else

00:15:01or are we

00:15:02trying to do

00:15:04what's best

00:15:04for the people

00:15:05around us

00:15:05and putting

00:15:05their needs

00:15:06ahead of our

00:15:06own

00:15:06this is

00:15:07important

00:15:08what color

00:15:10your

00:15:10seats

00:15:11you owed

00:15:11are

00:15:12just doesn't

00:15:13matter

00:15:14just to

00:15:15use an

00:15:15example

00:33:28the prophets

00:33:29they wouldn't

00:33:33them in a cave

00:45:04the promises

00:45:05of the

00:45:05covenant

00:45:05at sinai

00:45:07there were

00:45:07promises

00:45:08included

00:45:08that weren't

00:45:09fulfilled

00:45:09that weren't

00:45:10now we're

00:45:12many centuries

00:45:13after the

00:45:14new covenant

00:45:14was cut

00:45:15and all

00:45:16of those

00:45:16promises

00:45:17haven't come

00:45:17to be yet

00:45:18we don't

00:45:19have lasting

00:45:20peace in

00:45:20the land

00:45:20of israel

00:45:21we don't

00:45:22have

00:45:23the law

00:45:24written in

00:45:24our hearts

00:45:25to the

00:45:25extent that

00:45:25nobody has

00:45:26to teach

00:45:26each other

00:45:27so

00:45:28yeshua's

00:45:29death and

00:45:29resurrection

00:45:30his teaching

00:45:31on earth

00:45:31confirms these

00:45:32promises that

00:45:33these things

00:45:33will happen

00:45:34he can

00:45:36he came to

00:45:37prove the

00:45:38promises of

00:45:38redemption

00:45:40by living and

00:45:41dying it out

00:45:42and so

00:45:43because we can

00:45:44trust those

00:45:45promises

00:45:45we can also

00:45:46trust the rest

00:45:50be finally

00:45:50redeemed

00:47:05it and see

00:47:05the fulfillment

00:47:07covenant starts

00:51:49think translating it

00:51:53would better give

00:51:54the sense of the

00:51:54word and it

00:51:55really does mean

00:51:56everybody except

00:51:57israel certainly a

00:51:58lot of israelites a

00:51:59lot of the jews

00:52:01thought of it as a

00:52:01negative thing if

00:52:03you're not a jew

00:52:03then you're unclean

00:52:05but that's not the

00:52:06way that paul is

00:52:06using it and that's

00:52:07not the way that

00:52:07the prophets were

00:53:25deliberately chooses

00:53:26to quote from the

00:53:26hebrew instead of

00:53:27the septuagint and

00:53:29there were different

00:53:30versions of the

00:53:31septuagint floating

00:53:31around so it's

00:53:32possible there was

00:53:33one that said

00:53:33nations i don't

00:53:36one that i've got

00:53:42deuteronomy 32

00:53:49king james and

00:53:51translations go

00:53:51with the hebrew

00:53:55both of them are

00:54:01they both say

00:54:02have a great

00:54:02message but i

00:54:04think rejoice

00:54:09message that he

00:54:22whom god is

00:54:23avenging the

00:54:24blood of his

00:54:24servants there

00:54:25are two types

00:54:26of people here

00:54:26one are the

00:54:28jewish leadership

00:54:29what john calls

00:54:30the jews

00:54:31whenever john says

00:54:32the jews in

00:54:33the gospel of

00:54:34john he's talking

00:54:35about the jewish

00:54:36leadership the

00:54:37pharisees sadducees

00:54:38the priests those

00:54:39people god is

00:54:41taking vengeance

00:54:42on those people

00:54:43because of their

00:54:44abuse of his

00:54:44people and

00:54:45especially of

00:54:47yeshua but he's

00:54:49also taking vengeance

00:54:50on the nations

00:54:52that oppressed

00:54:52them the romans

00:54:53the greeks the

00:54:54egyptians the

00:54:55syrians whoever

00:54:56else whoever has

00:54:57has oppressed

00:54:59israel they are

00:55:00going to receive

00:55:01the vengeance of

00:55:02god but then he

00:55:04says rejoice oh

00:55:04nations because i'm

00:55:05going to take

00:55:06vengeance on you

00:55:07that's because his

00:55:08vengeance is the

00:55:09redemption of

00:55:10israel and

00:55:11through the

00:55:12promises that he

00:55:13gave to abraham

00:55:14and to israel and

00:55:15judah through the

00:55:16new covenant

00:55:17multitudes a

00:55:18great multitude of

00:55:19people from the

00:55:20nations gets to

00:55:21become part of

00:55:22israel and they

00:55:23are redeemed along

00:55:24with the rest of

00:55:25israel so rejoice

00:55:27oh nations because

00:55:28not all of you are

00:55:29going to be going

00:55:31to receive god's

00:55:32vengeance you have

00:55:33an opportunity to

00:55:34escape it and

00:55:36even in god's

00:55:37vengeance he

00:55:38doesn't take

00:55:38vengeance on all

00:55:40the people of

00:55:41all the nations

00:55:41but only those who

00:55:42perpetrate the

00:55:44oppression of his

00:55:45people and during

00:55:46the millennium even

00:55:48those who are not

00:55:49subjected to him

00:55:50even those who are

00:55:52not faithful to

00:55:52him they get to

00:55:54live in peace

00:55:55they're ruled over

00:55:56by the messiah and

00:55:58they get to live in

00:55:58a world without

00:55:59war for a

00:56:00thousand years

00:56:03so the nation

00:56:04should rejoice that

00:56:05god is going to

00:56:05come and take

00:56:06vengeance on the

00:56:08oppressors and the

00:56:08wicked in the

00:56:09world he's going to

00:56:10remove the

00:56:11oppressors of not

00:56:12just israel but of

00:56:13all people and

00:56:15eventually he's going

00:56:16to remove all the

00:56:17wicked so you've

00:56:19got a thousand years

00:56:20between i'm

00:56:21obviously i'm my

00:56:24eschatological

00:56:24beliefs are coming

00:56:25through here that's

00:56:27another rabbit trail

00:56:27i don't want to go

00:56:28down but i'm

00:56:29taking the

00:56:29millennial era to

00:56:30be a literal

00:56:31thing messiah is

00:56:33going to reign for

00:56:33a thousand years

00:56:34all of the nations

00:56:35of earth experience

00:56:36peace during that

00:56:37time and then rebel

00:56:39at the end during

00:56:41that thousand years

00:56:42all of those people

00:56:43are going to benefit

00:56:44from the rule of

00:56:46messiah in jerusalem

00:56:47and then at the very

00:56:49end at the final

00:56:50judgment god removes

00:56:53the wicked permanently

00:56:54and all of the

00:56:55righteous who from

00:56:56all of the nations

00:56:57who put their faith

00:56:59in him and were

00:57:00faithful to the

00:57:00end they will

00:57:03finally receive the

00:57:04hope that paul keeps

00:57:05talking about the

00:57:06hope of the

00:57:06resurrection and

00:57:08then go on to

00:57:09eternity in the new

00:57:10earth yeah i don't

00:57:12know how what the

00:57:13right word is here but

00:57:14it's a a two-sided

00:57:16thing where god is

00:57:18saying i'm going to

00:57:19take vengeance on you

00:57:20nations oh and i'm

00:57:21going to save you from

00:57:22the nations who are

00:57:23willing to repent so

00:57:25it's both a blessing

00:57:25and a curse to the

00:57:26nations at the same

00:57:27time go ahead

00:58:43usually talking about the

00:58:44hope of the

00:58:45resurrection and paul

00:58:47does talk about the

00:58:48resurrection and

00:58:50several other of his

00:58:51letters so it's not

00:58:52completely unrelated

00:58:54let me just give a

00:58:56really quick version

00:58:56and we'll wrap up

00:58:58after that and you're

00:58:59not the first person

00:59:00to ask about doing a

00:59:01q a at some time and

00:59:02maybe after we're done

00:59:03with romans we'll do a

00:59:05couple of those but

00:59:07quick version and i

00:59:39families and loved

00:59:41people grew old or got

00:59:42sick and died again just

00:59:43like lazarus that

00:59:45wasn't a permanent

00:59:46resurrection there are

00:59:48two other resurrections

00:59:50that i believe are

00:59:51talked about in

00:59:51scripture one is when

00:59:54yeshua returns there

00:59:56will be a resurrection

00:59:58of martyrs there's a

01:00:01couple of different

01:00:01opinions about that

01:00:02some people believe that

01:00:03this will be a

01:00:03resurrection of all of

01:00:05the saints i'm of the

01:00:07opinion that this is

01:00:08that he is only

01:00:09resurrecting the

01:00:10martyrs of the beast

01:00:11and the false prophet

01:00:13that's the beginning of

01:00:15the millennium and

01:00:17those people are

01:00:17resurrected and rule

01:00:18with him during the

01:00:20millennium and they

01:00:21will never die again

01:00:22they already have their

01:00:23glorified bodies but

01:00:24they're going to be here

01:00:25on this earth ruling

01:00:27with yeshua and then

01:00:30at the final judgment

01:00:31all of heaven and earth

01:00:33is destroyed all the

01:00:35dead are resurrected

01:00:38everybody who's still

01:00:39alive gets a new

01:00:41glorified body and

01:00:43then the judgment

01:00:44all of those the

01:00:46righteous and the

01:00:47wicked all together

01:00:47are resurrected but

01:00:49those who are whose

01:00:51names are not found in

01:00:53the book of life they

01:00:54are thrown into the

01:00:55lake of fire along

01:00:56with death and hades

01:00:58and satan and the

01:01:00beast and the false

01:01:02prophet anyways and

01:01:05those whose names are

01:01:06found in the book of

01:01:07life go on into the

01:01:09new earth and new

01:01:09heaven so two final

01:01:12resurrections one at

01:01:13the beginning of the

01:01:14millennium one at the

01:01:15end first one for the

01:01:16martyrs second one for

01:01:18everybody that's how i
