00:00Thank you for calling. MedHelp.
00:02MedHelp there is. This is Sandra. Help me help you.
00:05Yes, ma'am. Can you tell me if Dr. Blake Thomas works at your clinic?
00:09He does. Uh-huh.
00:10Okay. Is he new there?
00:12He's new.
00:14Thanks.
00:15All right. Thank you. Bye-bye.
00:17I recently found out that a Birmingham, Alabama area doctor
00:24had given me a false name
00:26when trying to contact him about a very serious misdiagnosis situation
00:31that I dealt with in 2019
00:34has moved locations.
00:37Dr. Christopher Blake Thomas, EMD, licensed in the state of Alabama.
00:42He had practiced at the AFC American Family Care Urgent Care
00:47off of Highway 280 in Caba Village.
00:51This is technically in Birmingham, but borders the city of Mountain Brook.
00:56He has left that location
00:58and he is now practicing with MedHelp at the Narrows
01:04at 151 Narrows Parkway, Birmingham, Alabama.
01:0935242 near Chelsea, Shelby County.
01:13Recently I discovered that the AFC Urgent Care at Caba Village
01:18had posted a job listing.
01:21They were looking for a new doctor.
01:23They have recently posted on July 10, 2023
01:28a job opening for a physician in this location.
01:36Now, previously, this has been the practice of Dr. Christopher Blake Thomas, EMD.
01:48And I was a patient under Dr. Blake Thomas' care in 2019.
01:56To see everything that happened to me
02:01regarding my experience with this doctor in this medical practice,
02:04you can see my documentation at YouTube channel,
02:09My Medical Nightmare.
02:11Back in May 2022, I tried to contact this doctor
02:19whose name appeared on the top of medical records
02:24that I requested from American Family Care.
02:29And this was in regards to a misdiagnosed x-ray of my skull
02:37that I had done in 2019.
02:42Blake Thomas, MD's name,
02:45appears here as supervising the nurse
02:49that facilitated the x-ray in the AFC clinic.
02:52This is Kimberly Kelly.
02:55And he should have also been checking over the work
02:59of radiologist Dr. Anna Maria Echnik, MDDABR,
03:06which the x-ray was outsourced to through Xperity.
03:11You call the phone number under this doctor's name
03:15on the radiologist report.
03:18It leads to Xperity.
03:20This doctor and subsequently the nurse told me
03:24I had no injuries appear in this x-ray.
03:29I'll put the actual images in this video
03:33so you can see the truth regarding this matter.
03:38I have around a three-inch in diameter
03:41translucent oval here.
03:43This is visible in a standard x-ray.
03:47No contrast was used in this scan.
03:50Subsequently, I discovered in further MRI and CT
03:55that I had broken the underside of my skull.
03:58And the translucent oval that you can see
04:01in the AFC and Xperity x-ray,
04:04this shows up as infection
04:07surrounding the main wound.
04:09And I tried to contact this doctor to get this x-ray scan looked at again
04:16because I paid $175 for this visit
04:20and I got a misdiagnosis here.
04:24This is not helpful if you're a medical patient seeking treatment.
04:32I found that this doctor was located at the American Family Care Clinic
04:38in Caba Village off Highway 280 in Birmingham.
04:43I tried to call this doctor's office.
04:47It was then that I found out by talking to the receptionist,
04:52every individual that worked in this location that I spoke with,
04:59they used a nickname, a false name, or a pseudonym.
05:05In trying to reach Dr. Blake Thomas, MD,
05:10I was put in touch with an individual
05:14who identified himself as the office manager of this clinic
05:20and he went by the name Sadler, S-A-D-D-L-E-R.
05:25I later found out after my call with this office manager
05:31that I was in fact speaking with the state of Alabama
05:37licensed medical doctor, Christopher Blake Thomas,
05:41who I was trying to reach in the first place.
05:45So he gave a false name.
05:47And I found this out very simply.
05:50You can hear my recorded calls with this individual.
05:54And Dr. Blake Thomas gave a television interview
05:57with Birmingham, Alabama, TV station, WVTM, Channel 13.
06:05Listen to the two voices and they are identical.
06:09I believe that a medical doctor
06:11identifying himself under a pseudonym
06:15is against the law in Alabama
06:18and possibly other jurisdictions as well.
06:22This is a type of fraud.
06:24I'm not very happy about my experience
06:28dealing with this individual.
06:30Yeah, in trying to get that x-ray
06:33and the misdiagnosis looked at again,
06:36the office manager, again,
06:40a false identity that this doctor was using.
06:43He told me that he could do nothing
06:46to help me fix this situation.
06:51No refund of my $175.
06:55He wouldn't go to the medical doctor
06:58or Xperity and have this situation
07:02looked at or reversed.
07:03He told me on the phone,
07:05you can hear this recorded,
07:06there's nothing he was going to be able to do
07:08to help me fix this situation.
07:10And this is real bad news
07:12because that injury that I had,
07:14I almost died from in 2019.
07:16This is totally unacceptable as a medical patient.
07:21AFC as well, I contacted.
07:23They would not help me with this situation.
07:26I talked to Xperity.
07:28They would not help me fix this situation
07:30or correct this.
07:32And basically, I was ripped off as a customer
07:34and a medical patient.
07:36I went to the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners
07:41and file complaints in this situation.
07:44They would do nothing to help me
07:46with their oversight.
07:48Totally useless.
07:50They're lazy.
