00:07I want to show you guys how in five minutes you can transform your space and your life.

00:24Um, I'm ambushing you because, girl, I see the way you're working and I think we can

00:30I think so too, honestly.
00:31You are the very first five-minute flip.
00:35I'm going to take five minutes.
00:36I'm honored.
00:37Go to town on your desk.
00:38I'm not going to have snap peas lying around.
00:40I know.
00:41You've got a lot of things going on.
00:42Will you just give me a little run-through?
00:44I like to be hydrated.
00:46Okay.
00:47Water.
00:48Water.
00:50Bottle.
00:52Bottle.
00:53Bottle.
00:53Baby bottle.
00:53Hydration is key.
00:56I love color.

01:01Well, at one point it's a blossoming rose.

01:05If you were to describe your ideal workspace in three words, what would they be?
01:09Okay.
01:10Colorful.
01:10Mm-hmm.
01:12Clean.
01:13Okay.
01:15And efficient.

01:21Just be organized.
01:23That's it.
01:23That's the whole point of the show.
01:25Let's get five minutes on the clock.
01:27What I want to start to do is clear the whole desk so I can see the whole space and
01:30see like
01:32what we're working with as far as stuff that she wants to keep on the desk and also what
01:35can just go away.
01:37I mean, a dead plant.
01:38Like, there's nothing you can do.
01:40It's dead.
01:40Okay.
01:40So she told me that she has this baby bottle that she needs to give away so I'm going to
01:44put that to the side because that does not deserve a place on her desk.
01:48Food.
01:49Let's get that away.
01:50Lily, Lucy.
01:55Two mouse pads.
01:58My book has a mini library at their desk.
02:02Okay, so she has these lights and already I see what I'm going to do with them.
02:06I love this idea.
02:07We're just going to tweak it a little bit.
02:08So I'm going to use these little clips to attach Lucy's light along the back border of
02:15her desk.
02:23So before Lucy had this just kind of sitting on her desk, the thing that turns up the lights
02:27on, I'm going to attach it underneath.
02:31I've got these that will literally hold 16 pounds.
02:35Convenient placement.
02:37It's like magic.
02:40Doing a little cable wrangling, if you will.
02:44Lucy loves color.
02:45She's got these cool ice cream prints.
02:47We're going to move them back into the space.
02:49Love a good gold push pin.
02:53And if we know anything about Lucy, she likes ice cream.
02:57Moving the stuff back in.
03:02Oh, yeah.
03:02Put it under the monitor.
03:04The other thing I got for Lucy is a little organizer.
03:07And I actually think it will benefit her more if we tuck it away on the side and hide
03:11a little storage space for Lucy's desk.
03:16That is called efficiency of space.
03:18This was another little art project that Lucy had.
03:22Basically, just taking what Lucy already had and repurposing it.
03:28Perfect knick knacks for this little catch all.
03:34Mouse pads.
03:35But she doesn't even have a mouse.
03:38Her last plant.
03:41Just repurposing something she already had.
03:44There.
03:45I think time's up.
03:47Come, come, come to your new desk.
03:51Look at these lights.
03:54Revamp the lights a little bit.
03:56The three things you told me before you left were colorful, clean, and efficiency.
04:00You already had the color going on.
04:02It was just about reworking what you already had, the lights, stringing them so they just
04:06weren't taking up space on your desk.
04:08Clean.
04:08I mean, you had some trash on the desk so it was really just a matter of like throwing
04:12some things away.
04:13A stray aspirin running around.
04:15Oh.
04:16Yeah.
04:16And then efficiency.
04:18Using things that you already had.
04:20This awesome jar full of lights is now a pen holder.
04:23Yep.
04:23This little catch all as like your miscellaneous pile, your mug, your plant.
04:29That became one.
04:30Clean desk, natural light.
