00:08I'm going to tell you right now why Kenyon Sadiq could be the best pick in the first round out
00:15of
00:16this last draft. The New York Jets selected Kenyon Sadiq's 16th overall and some fans were
00:21questioning the pick a little bit. Why didn't we take Makai Lemon? Why didn't we maybe take a guard?
00:27Why didn't we go safety, etc.? Listen, Kenyon Sadiq is the kind of player that can change the way you
00:34run
00:34your offense. You're talking about a guy that is 241 pounds, runs a 4-3-9, has over an 11
00:41-foot broad
00:42jump, jacked, super chiseled. This guy is going to be able to do so many things on a football field
00:50because he is a wide receiver in a tight end's body. Kenyon Sadiq plays tight end like a wide receiver.
00:57And as a tight end, he can also go out there and play wide receiver. You can line him up
01:01inside.
01:02You can line him up outside. You can run a streak. You can run a post corner. You can run
01:07a crossing
01:08route. You can run a wide receiver screen to your tight end or line him up in the backfield and
01:13maybe
01:13give him a handoff if you want to. That's the kind of player Kenyon Sadiq is. Frank Reich got somebody
01:19that if you team him up or they will team him up with Mason Taylor, the combination there just makes
01:25too much sense for me. Kenyon Sadiq is your athletic tight end that runs that seam route and has
01:31safeties just being honest with him and having to guard him. There's a reason that he led all tight
01:36ends and touchdowns last year. Right off that seam, he's like a cannon out there. And then you have
01:41Mason Taylor who's just working the middle of that football field, finding the soft spots and zones.
01:47Those two will complement each other so well. Frank Reich can run 12 personnel really whenever
01:52he wants because you have a tight end and a wide receiver at the same time in Kenyon Sadiq.
01:57This pick is going to be one that I think we're going to look back on and say, you know
02:01what?
02:01We nailed that one out of the park. If you look at what Kenyon Sadiq does in certain situations,
02:07also safeties don't know where he's going. They want to guard him with some cushion,
02:12but you have to be careful because if he gets that ball early in his route, he's going to take
02:18one on you. The yak speaks for itself with Kenyon Sadiq. So when you look at this pick,
02:23it is just something that I think the Jets have needed for so long. We have not had a tight
02:27end
02:27really since Dustin Keller that's been able to keep defenses honest when it comes to the tight end
02:33position. Other thing with Kenyon Sadiq that I don't think is being talked about enough
02:38is on broken plays. What a weapon you have there on broken plays. This guy, he might be running a
02:45crossing route, stopping his tracks, run across the other side of the field. I mean, look at what
02:49Travis Kelsey does. If this Jets team, if we can get a quarterback next year, or maybe even it's
02:55Geno Smith, but if we can get a quarterback that can improvise in the pocket a little bit and do
03:01things
03:01on broken plays, you have a guy that's 240 plus pounds who runs a 4-3-9 streaking across the
03:07field.
03:08That's another weapon. You look at receivers to do that stuff. No, you don't need to look to your
03:13receivers. Look at your tight end in Kenyon Sadiq right there. At the end of the day, I think when
03:18we look back at this draft, and not only for the Jets sake, and everyone knows I love me some
03:23David
03:23Bailey. You know, I'm a Bailey bro. That's my guy. Don't be surprised if at the end of the day,
03:28we don't look back at this draft and say that Kenyon Sadiq was the best first pick for us in
03:33that round,
03:34and maybe was the best pick in that entire first round.
