00:00What surprised me is how quickly it turned for Glenn.
00:03I thought Glenn would have more of a honeymoon
00:08because of his experience as a player here with you guys.
00:11Gase wasn't popular from the day he was hired.
00:14That was clear.
00:18It only got worse from that.
00:20I want to point out, because I was accused of being a Gase defender a lot
00:25back in those days.
00:26He did go 7-9 in his first season whenever he was screaming,
00:30to fire him.
00:30He lost his starting quarterback for three of those games.
00:35Just to point out, 2019 was light years better than this team.
00:43This is as bad as I can ever remember it.
00:48Watching what the stadium looked like in the last few weeks,
00:52the Atlanta game, Miami game, New England game, it was rough.
00:55There was nobody there.
00:56The people I really feel bad for are the people that work for the Jets
01:03that have nothing to do with football, because there's a lot of good people
01:06that work here.
01:08Think about their lives, guys.
01:12Think about they hear about the Jets all the time from when their kid's
01:17soccer game or when they go to the supermarket and someone knows them.
01:20They have to deal with all the crap, and they have nothing to do with the
01:23product.
01:25Think about the guys who have to sell tickets.
01:26Their job is to sell tickets.
01:28They have to call people up and say,
01:31how about buying Jet season tickets?
01:33Oh, and we're increasing your prices, too, if you are returning your season tickets.
01:38Don't forget that.
01:40That's not their fault.
01:41The guys are making the calls.
01:42So, like, it's like, oh, my gosh.
01:45So, yeah, I mean, I hope it turns for you guys at some point,
01:49because it's just tough.
01:51I hope it turns for us, and I hope it turns for draft prospects
01:54wanting to come here to New York as well, because I've heard you know,
01:56Kaz.
01:57Can I hit that one, too?
01:57Yes, I had to finish up on it, Kaz.
01:59I had to.
02:00He threw him the softball.
02:01There he is.
02:02If you're representing Dante more, with the Raiders, you know you have an organization
02:12steep in history with an owner whose father steepened, like, entrenched in the great history
02:20of the NFL, trying to do the right thing, misguided at times, brings in Tom Brady,
02:25who can be a source of, like, helping, although this first go-round was not pretty.
02:31But how much did Tom, like, I feel like next year with a new coaching staff,
02:36as we all presume, Pete Carroll will be out, and there will be a new staff.
02:41Would you or would you not, as the representation or the representative, the rep for Dante Moore,
02:49kind of reach out to the Raiders and say, hey, my client's trying to make a decision.
02:55Give me, we can live with going to 30 of the 32 teams.
03:01Maybe it's 31.
03:05I can't allow him to go to the New York Jets.
03:08And I realize in 2027, maybe he's the seventh pick or the fifth pick, or maybe he's the first
03:14overall pick and the Jets have all that ammo and they can get him there.
03:17But I can't allow him to just, he's got an opportunity to go back to Oregon and probably
03:21make the same amount of money that he's going to make in his rookie contract.
03:26Phil Knight will make that happen.
03:29So I can allow my client to go back to Oregon and have another season with a new offensive
03:34coordinator because Will Stein's going to Kentucky, or you can pretty much promise me that he's
03:39going to be the number one overall pick.
03:40Like, is that so far-fetched?
03:43Because I know, I promise you, not one single player in this entire draft, unless they grew
03:48up a Jets fan or have some kind of family tie, wants to be a New York Jet.
03:53I respect the hell out of Todd McShay.
03:55I like him.
03:56I talk to him.
03:57I like, I've always liked his evaluations when he was on ESPN and now, you know, after ESPN.
04:02But that's ridiculous to say, like, people don't want to come here.
04:06Draft picks don't want to come here.
04:07Draft picks don't want to get drafted.
04:08Like, and, oh, what?
04:11They want to go, he wants to go to Cleveland?
04:14Like, the Browns have been better?
04:16Like, guess what, guys?
04:17If you're drafting in the top five, you suck.
04:19Like, unless you traded up there, you suck.
04:21And like, and there's issues with your franchise if you're in the top five.
04:25There are issues.
04:26And guess what?
04:26In 2027, the teams drafting in the top five are going to have issues.
04:30And 2028, the guys are like, this idea like, oh, he's going to go back to his school
04:35to avoid the Jets.
04:35Like, no.
04:36Like, we've seen that twice.
04:38We've seen guys try to avoid teams twice in the last 45 years with John Elway and Eli Manning.
04:43It doesn't happen.
04:45And I thought that was silly.
04:47Peyton with Bill Parcells in the Jets, too.
04:49But that was different, though.
04:50That was different.
04:51So what Archie has always said is that if Parcells, they asked Parcells, is Peyton going to be the number one pick?
04:56And Parcells wouldn't guarantee it.
04:59And they said if he had guaranteed it, Peyton would have come out.
05:01Or that's the legendary tale, right?
05:04So, yeah.
05:05But Parcells would not guarantee he was going to be the number one pick.
05:08So, you know, that wasn't necessarily how he's avoiding the Jets.
05:12I also think I was watching college football heavily at that time.
05:17And I remember Peyton, like, really genuinely loved college.
05:19And he loved being there.
05:20And so I think he wanted to go back for other reasons.
05:23So I don't think he was avoiding the Jets.
05:25But obviously, you know, Eli avoided the Chargers.
05:29John Elway avoided the coach.
05:30But I just think it's silly.
05:31And, like, and I know now this gets thrown out well.
05:34NIL.
05:35Well, NIL is applicable if you're a fourth-round pick or a third-round pick.
05:39Like, but I think the guy, I'm forgetting his name.
05:42He's going to Texas Tech now from Cincinnati.
05:44He was the number one quarterback in the portal.
05:46Well, he, I think they're saying he got $5 million to go to Texas Tech.
05:51He's the number one guy.
05:53Soresby, I think it is.
05:55Yes.
05:55He's the number one guy.
05:57$5 million.
05:58And I listened to a great college football podcast Dan Wetzel and Pete Thamel do.
06:03And they were talking about the other day that most, in the transfer portal now,
06:08the quarterbacks are going to get $5 million.
06:10The best non-quarterbacks will get $2 million in NIL.
06:14That's the market you're talking about.
06:16The number two pick will get $34 million the day he signs his name on a contract.
06:21Think about it.
06:22$34 million signing bonus, guys, right?
06:24Like, it might be split in two, but you're going to get that money the day you sign.
06:28And NIL's not competing with that.
06:30Like, even Phil Knight's not competing with that, right?
06:32So, yeah, I just thought that was irresponsible.
06:35And then there's the layer that Todd McShay is really good friends with Joe Douglas.
06:38And, like, is he just crapping on the Jets because of that?
06:42But I don't know.
06:43I don't know that part of it.
06:44But it's – I thought that was stupid.
06:47Kaz's reply went viral.
06:48He raised the Yoto, man.
06:49I like that.
06:51Fans were loving it, Kaz, and they were eating it up because whenever someone goes after the Jets
06:55and you defend – even though you're not technically defending the Jets,
06:58you were just stating, hey, look, this is stupid.
07:01It's stupid and silly.
07:02And, like, the Jets are an easy – the Jets are an easy target, right?
07:06I get it.
07:06They're an easy target.
07:07And they brought that upon themselves in so many freaking ways.
07:11But, like, this thing is just dumb because – oh, yeah.
07:15No, he'd rather go to the Arizona Cardinals.
07:17No, the Raiders is what he's talking about.
07:18The Raiders who have six coaches in six years.
07:22Think about that.
07:22Six coaches in six years.
07:24That's where he wants to go.
07:25And the worst offensive line probably in football, to be honest.
07:28They can't block anybody out there.
07:30Yeah, yeah.
07:31And, like, by the way, guys, too big.
07:32You're a draft pick.
07:33You just want to play in the NFL.
07:34Now, I don't know Dante Moore's family dynamics at all.
07:40Sometimes there's fathers involved who are like, eh, do I really – do I, you know, should I –
07:46I've actually gotten calls before from fathers of draft picks asking me about the Jets organization.
07:52And, like, you know, so I know this is true.
07:54And sometimes they are – but they're not going to manipulate things.
07:57But they just might be, like, a little skittish about the organization.
08:01Those are guys that are, you know, sometimes our age or – you know, that are, like – that have seen it.
08:08But, you know, college kids – and, like, also, most of them – and they shouldn't be like this.
08:13They're so cocky, they think they're going to come here and change everything.
08:16And that's how it should be.
08:18Like, how – you know, so – eh, stupid.
08:24Like, how – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know, so – you know
