00:00Everyone is focused on today though is the NFL draft and Daniel Jeremiah is a
00:04guy we've had on the show. It's a guy I really value. One, his analysis, he worked
00:10in NFL front offices, he played at Appalachian State, go Mountaineers. I
00:14believe he was in the Ravens front office for a number of years. Now he's
00:17involved with the Chargers but on the media side but he's a plugged in dude
00:23for sure. And DJ put out his final mock draft and there's a new name rolling in
00:31for the Washington Commanders. Let's hear from NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah now.
00:36We have the Washington Commanders. They need another weapon. They need someone to
00:40put out there with Terry McLaurin and here you've got Jordan Tyson. Both guys
00:44spent a little time at Arizona State. Jordan Tyson, everybody knows the story.
00:48The athleticism, the twitchiness, all that stuff off the charts. It's really just
00:52been durability. His inability to stay healthy is what's been a little bit of a
00:56concern but it's worth the risk for the commanders as they try and get some more
00:59weapons around Jaden Daniels. Jordan Tyson, Brian. This is a really
01:06interesting player and pick. This is somebody we've heard increasing buzz
01:12about. Jordan is spelled J-O-R-D-Y-N which is kind of interesting. This is a young man
01:20that started at Colorado, transferred to Arizona State, in 2024 had his best statistical season,
01:27went for over 1,100 yards, 75 catches, 10 touchdowns, averaged about 15 yards per catch.
01:34As a freshman at Colorado, it's not a big volume play but he was deep dread. He had 22 catches
01:41for 470 yards for a 21 yards per catch average. I don't know. When did Deion get to Colorado?
01:50Was that 22?
01:53He's been there now, what, three years?
01:55I don't know. Maybe the boys can look that up for us but I'm curious and guys transfer in college
02:02football all the time so who knows but it's curious if he was there for Deion and left or left
02:07before
02:08Deion. I don't know. Certainly at Arizona State for the last few years. Last year for the Sun Devils
02:14He started in 2023.
02:15Okay, so after that. Last year for the Sun Devils, Tyson went 61 catches, 711 yards,
02:218 touchdowns, averaged about 12 yards per carry. Tyson, if healthy, would be the clear number one
02:31receiver in this draft, I believe. But there are a lot of, there's a lot of questions about health.
02:39And he's missed games with a number of issues, right? And I think the question is, what do the
02:48medicals look like? Because if you miss games with a bunch of different things, it could just be a
02:52bunch of different things.
02:53See, that's the thing about it though, man. Like, we talk about having an impact player.
03:00For me, hearing that, I don't know. Because if a guy missed a lot of time, do you want to
03:06draft him
03:07that high? You know what I mean? I know Daniel Jeremiah come out with a lot of good stuff, but
03:13I'm looking at this one like, I don't know if this is the truth.
03:16So let's take a look. Here's one thing I wonder, honestly. We have heard the Giants love Jordan
03:24Tyson, right? We know Joe Shane went out to Arizona to have dinner with him.
03:31If you wanted to force the Giants to take Tyson at five, wouldn't suggesting you want him at seven
03:41push that forward?
03:42Yeah. And that's the one thing I would say. Like, sometimes stuff come out.
03:45Like, if the Giants think they can get Tyson at ten, and now all of a sudden Washington's going to
03:50take him at seven, there's an advantage there. Yeah, you take him at five. Or if somebody wants
03:56to trade up, because they're like, all right, we know the Giants are going to take him at ten,
03:59maybe we have to trade up with Washington to get him at seven. A number of folks have presumed
04:06Carnell Tate to be the pick. If you're going to go wide receiver, the Ohio State wide receiver,
04:11pretty cool little story you told me this morning.
04:13Well, actually, Carnell Tate, Francis M., I don't know how to pronounce his last name.
04:21Moaga. Moaga. That's what we're going with.
04:23Okay. And also the K-Tron from Penn State, the running back in this draft. My daughter
04:29basically was down, the assistant AD at IMG Academy when all those guys were there. So
04:36she was talking this morning, I'm like, yeah, my boys are going. I'm like, your boys? I'm
04:40like, you know, Bria's a little bit of the old thing. Right. And all these dudes look
04:44up. So when I went down and watched them play, all those guys were at IMG at the same
04:48time. That's very cool. Yeah. A lot of people have thought Carnell Tate makes the most sense
04:52for Washington. Yeah. Including Evan Silva is a guy, there's like two founders of the
04:58Establish the Run website. It's Evan Silva and Adam Levitan. We've had Levitan on the show a number
05:05of times. And those dudes are plugged in and they attack things from a different mindset.
05:11It's a lot of gambling, a lot of analytics, but they're sharp. Silva put out his final mock
05:17draft. I think this is this morning, maybe last night. And he goes, Mendoza, Bailey, Reese,
05:23Stiles at four to the Titans. That lets the Giants get Jeremiah Love at five. Browns take
05:29Feneau at six. And the Commanders take Carnell Tate at seven. Of that, he writes, it's a
05:35perfect match with Jaden Daniels vertical passing prowess in DC. Then Silva has the Saints taking
05:41Tyson at eight. All right. Kind of interesting. Our friend of the program, like friend of real
05:48life, Ben Standig puts a lot of time and effort into the mock draft scene. There is a website
05:55out there that rates mock drafts accuracy. And Standig has won that thing before. In Standig's
06:03final mock that I'm looking at, he says Mendoza won, Bailey two. Those are kind of what we
06:09expect. He does have the, he's got a lot of trades. So maybe he's just having fun with
06:14this. Yeah. He has the Cardinals trading out of number three and the Saints coming up to
06:20take Arvel Reese. Now we keep hearing there's going to be a lot of trades, a lot of trades.
06:25Maybe that's the big one that even a guy like Jay Glazer is teasing.
06:28He ain't got a lot of damn time on his hand, don't he? He's sitting there talking to his
06:34cats. What you think will happen now? Here's what I can tell you about Standig. And Grant
06:40did a good job with this, trying to explain, because like, you know, I'm always a big believer
06:45in context and that multiple things can be true at the same time. The NFL draft is a smokescreen.
06:52Like no one knows exactly what's going to happen tonight, but you can accumulate information going
06:58into draft night. The teams are trying to do it. Player agents are trying to do it. And a lot
07:02of
07:02folks are talking. So like both those things can be true. Is Adam Peters telling anybody what he's
07:08going to do tonight? No. But is Adam Peters probably on the phone with, if I had to guess, especially
07:14these top 10, top 15 picks, a number of them are represented by agents we've talked about
07:20frequently in Joel Siegel and Todd France, David Mulligetta. Like Peter's talking to those
07:24dudes and he's talking to his players about what they potentially might do. So like there
07:28is going to be tonight. We're going to give you a call. Yeah. There's conversations that
07:31happen. Um, so the, the Cardinals, I think want to trade out of that. Don't call somebody
07:38that's going to be drafted tonight at a certain time to hang up on them. Okay. It's serious
07:41dude. Let's hope to remember the call sheet got out and was it, it was, uh, somebody's
07:48son was like, yeah, the dude in Atlanta was called, uh, I think he called another player
07:53too. Let's hope that doesn't happen. That's just cool. Um, but standing says the, the
07:58saints trade up to get Arbel Reese. Then the Titans take styles. The giants get Jeremiah
08:03love. So that's now a couple of mocks that have the giants taking love at five. Another
08:08trade here, the Rams coming up to six. We know Cleveland wants out of that six pick. This
08:14has the Rams coming up to six to draft Carnell Tate. Another trade. Ben has the
08:19commanders here. Here's what I can tell you if all these trades happen. We're all
08:23expecting this draft pick tonight to be around eight 45, nine o'clock. If you have
08:27three trades in the top seven, if these trades had a lot later, then you're
08:31suggesting that I'm coming to look for you though. Um, he has time to get off
08:35early. He has the commanders trading out of seven to the chiefs. The chiefs coming up
08:41to get Ruben Bain. Washington then gets the number nine pick. Uh, this would have
08:46the Cardinals via new Orleans. This is crazy, Ben. The Cardinals via new Orleans
08:50taking Moaga, the tackle from Miami and then Washington at nine taking Mansoor
08:56to lane. Um, I think if the lane is the pick cool, I think he's the, yeah, you know
09:04what I like if you take the lane or you take styles or you take downs, I don't see
09:12a problem at those. You're getting the best player at their position in this
09:16draft. Yeah. And there's not a question. Like if you take Tate or Tyson, we don't
09:21know who the best player is going to be. If you take one of these edge rushers
09:24between Bain, Bailey, Reese, we don't know who the best player is going to be. It
09:32is. There's no doubt Mansoor to lane is the best corner available. So I'm cool with those
09:37decisions. And if Washington was to trade back from seven to nine, I think they'll, I
09:42think they will have a realistic conversation about the lane at seven. I think you love
09:46getting them at nine and then you add, you know, more draft inventory in a draft where
09:52they really don't have it.
