Jeremiyah Love to Cardinals at No. 4? AJ Brown traded to New England? How much do you buy these draft week storylines?
Transcript
00:00It's going to be a really interesting week kind of leading up to the draft.
00:07And I got one this morning that I need the B. Mitch lie detector for.
00:14Ça va.
00:15This is from Schefter.
00:17Okay.
00:20Schefter can certainly be part of a transactional process
00:25where people want to disseminate information.
00:28But Schefter ain't lying.
00:30He's not making stuff up.
00:32And he's having a conversation with somebody.
00:34Right?
00:35Like some people around draft time just throw stuff out to get some clicks.
00:40I don't think he throws stuff out just like some people.
00:43But I think he does stuff with an angle.
00:46Sure.
00:46Here we go.
00:48Schefter 713 AM.
00:50There is growing chatter in league circles that Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love
00:55is in play with Arizona.
00:58At number three overall.
01:00Ideally, the Cardinals would like to find a team willing to trade up
01:03so they can acquire more picks.
01:05And there have already been exploratory calls, as one source described it,
01:09regarding the number three selection.
01:11But if the Cardinals hold on to their pick,
01:13some around the league believe they can pull an early draft surprise and select Love.
01:19Don't you think they need somebody at that position to help out whoever's going to be their quarterback?
01:26Well, their current QB1 is Jacoby Brissett, who is currently holding out because he said
01:34they're not paying him like a QB1.
01:35But what I love about, like, Brissett is not the guy who's going to blow the top off anything.
01:42If you give him a running back like that, and he has a lot of open spots to throw the
01:47ball to,
01:48he could be a lot better than what he's been.
01:50And he's been very serviceable.
01:53But I don't blame him.
01:54I like, I'm a big Jacoby fan.
01:56Listen, bro, people like to, ah, we're going to just, we're going to start him.
02:02Well, that's a certain level to quarterback ones.
02:06To quote the great Cody Betts, real or fake, Arizona could take Love at number three.
02:13Real.
02:14Really?
02:15The more you hear people talk about him, I'm not just going by how when people talk about him.
02:21People can talk loud and be lying their ass off.
02:24But when you look at people talk about this dude, it's like they're describing a woman.
02:31Like, you know, like when you, when you, like, when you went somewhere and you saw,
02:35you're like, man, I'm telling you, her body was just, when they talk about him,
02:39their eyes get a little squinty and they start, bro, I'm telling you, this dude right here,
02:43his, so when you hear that, you start wondering like, damn, is he that damn good?
02:49To where, you know?
02:51The way people talk about him really is like they're describing.
02:54Yeah, yeah, but like, you know, like, dude, hey, bro, man.
02:57Like, remember when we saw.
02:58You keep doing, you keep doing stupid stuff like that.
03:00What the hell?
03:02But him, he may be, and I can see it.
03:05Remember when we saw J-Lo at the Super Bowl in Minnesota?
03:08Yeah.
03:08And the way we came out of there describing how Jennifer Lopez is able to contort her body and, and.
03:14Over 50?
03:15The performances.
03:16And over 50?
03:17Yeah.
03:17The, the, the, the acts she was able to do on stage.
03:22That is how people talk about Jeremiah Love running the football.
03:25They say you, you dream about what you go to, what you go to sleep thinking about.
03:28I show what sleep thinking about.
03:30Real or fake?
03:33Like, can we at least establish on our program, A.J. Brown is gone from Philly.
03:38I believe that.
03:39I, I've believed that since I was in Arizona.
03:41Yeah.
03:41And to her credit, Rossini had that a while back.
03:44Listen, man.
03:45Well, Jay, you might not want to bring that up like that.
03:48Because you're getting on to that whole story.
03:50I, I get it.
03:50You were.
03:51But, so, I just think the way things ended, and normally when things get like that, you can tell the
03:59coach was done.
04:01Because what is he doing?
04:03He was bashing basically the coach, and everybody the coach brought in.
04:06You can bring in who you want.
04:08When you bring in your little friends, your little flunkies, and they running your stuff, and it's garbage, and the
04:13players say something about the garbageness that they were dealing with, who is he really talking about?
04:17The head coach.
04:18So, the head coach gets this one, the next time the head coach is going to be gone.
04:24Because I know Howie, Howie knows how to play this thing.
04:26I, I played golf Saturday morning, poorly, with a dear friend of mine that's from Philadelphia, and he said, the
04:34latest rumor I'm hearing is that Howie is grooming the offensive coordinator they hired, Sean Mannion, to replace Sirianni when
04:43the inevitable next Sirianni.
04:45Blow up happening?
04:46The two-bar incident, yeah.
04:47Oh, he going to do something.
04:49Well, you know what?
04:50Maybe smart, because sometimes I think people wait until something happens to decide, hell, do it ahead of time.
05:01Have a plan.
05:03Right.
05:03Like, if you screw up, I know you're good enough to go for it.
05:06That's the way people do it.
05:08You don't wait until you're screwed up.
05:10Now I got to go looking.
05:11Because what is remarkable about what happened in Washington is Dan Quinn had a succession plan specifically on the offensive
05:19coordinator.
05:20Like, a year ago, if I had told you Cliff's gone, they promoted Blau, I'd be like, yeah, that tracks.
05:27Now, we would have thought it was Cliff left to take a head coaching job.
05:31Instead of Cliff got fired, because there were some differences of opinion, but, like, they at least...
05:36Agreed it's a part.
05:38Sure, sure.
05:38Mutually agreeable parting of ways.
05:41Pardon me.
05:42But, like, the plan was still there.
05:47Maybe Philly's doing the same thing.
05:48I got another real or fake from you.
05:49All right.
05:51This one's going to be pretty damn obvious, Brian.
05:54Okay.
05:55The Eagles could be making more trades beyond any A.J. Brown-related move.
06:00True.
06:00Always true.
06:01Yeah.
06:02Because, look, man, that's a team, and I think a lot of these people can learn from what Howie does.
06:09Howie plays chess.
06:11Everybody else plays checkers.
06:12He seems to always be a step ahead on what people think they should do.
06:17He's already done it.
06:17Right.
06:18And if you look at how the Eagles continue to amass draft capital, you know what I mean?
06:27Like, it just never...
06:29They always are loaded.
06:30Right now, they have 23, 54, 68, 98, 114, 137, 178, 197.
06:39So that is eight picks, four top 100 picks.
06:47I'm going to apologize real quick.
06:48Brian, I'm sorry.
06:49I forgot you said we were on a stream yard.
06:51I just decided to look for it.
06:55I'm so used to just sitting down, and it's working.
06:58So now I got to go.
06:59I hadn't even pulled up my email on my computer.
07:03So has the stream just been me so far?
07:06Basically.
07:07Should I apologize to the chat for having to just look at my face so far?
07:12Nah, that's all right.
07:13I mean...
07:14You need something to wake them up this morning.
07:17I'm sure they jumped a little bit, Jay.
07:20Well, B-Mitch is about to join.
07:22So for everybody on the chat...
07:24What up, YouTube?
07:26I'll say hello.
07:27B-Mitch is on his way in.
07:29I'll apologize to the chat that I'm just wearing a t-shirt.
07:33I've tried to dress better since the television stuff, and it's hot as hell in here.
07:38Hey, man.
07:39Don't worry about it.
07:40I had a quarter zip on, but do you agree that it's hot?
07:43Yeah.
07:44I just hadn't taken off my jacket yet.
07:46I bet it's...
07:46I do.
07:47I'm behind today for some reason.
07:48I bet it's 85 degrees in this studio.
07:51It's hot in this damn place.
07:52And then the aquarium is 65 degrees.
07:53What's the thermostat saying?
07:55Because that affects over here.
07:57Nobody ever knows.
07:58It's right behind him.
07:59Over his shoulder.
07:5974.
08:00The cameras don't work.
08:01You think that thing works?
08:0274?
08:03We don't need it to be that hat.
08:05Honestly, if it's 74, that kind of tracks.
08:08White Bryant, do you appreciate B-Mitch joining the stream 40 minutes later?
08:15Yeah, if he ever gets in here.
08:17I'm going to get in there when I get in there.
08:18If you start talking to my track, I will not care because they installed and stuff should be working.
08:24Dubby, at what point were you going to send a reminder text to B-Mitch?
08:28What is your threshold for when you need to remind him?
08:32I normally give him like 45 minutes.
08:36I may wait on the 45-minute mark.
08:38Now, there's no way I get 45-minute grace period.
08:41How quickly would you have texted me?
08:4310.
08:44I need one of you in here.
08:45What do you do if neither of us are in there?
08:48It's just the B-Mitch and Finley logo.
08:50Do the people come in when it's just the logo up?
08:53Yeah.
08:54God bless you.
08:55To everybody in the YouTube chat, we appreciate you, man.
08:58Right hand down, left hand up.
09:00B will join us soon.
09:02Don't let you go anywhere.
09:03We're going to keep playing real or fake.
09:05Oh, Brian's in the chat.
