And it exactly that attitude from captain Cordner that head coach Damian Briggs is hoping can bring his players together come Friday.

As he touched on his squad selection and team chemistry.

00:00Well, the players completed their first training session today with familiar faces like Asha James and Summer Arjun earning recalls.
00:07But there are a few new faces in France-based Keddie Johnson and Shaka Hislop's daughter Nia Hislop,
00:13along with two other U.S.-based players in Shekia Williams and Sonia Lamare.
00:17And head coach Damien Briggs explained the thought process behind his squad selection.
00:21We wanted to just sort of, you know, for this one, just keep building on what we had.
00:28And we looked across our bench and we wanted to have as strong as the bench as we would have
00:35with our starting XI.
00:37So, you know, we had some new faces to look at.
00:42And we then decided, you know, the ones that fitted best into, you know, how we play, the style of
00:50how we want to play.
00:51And I guess looking at the opposition as well and who we believe would be the best cope with what
00:58they've got.
00:58With so much at stake, he pinpointed the value in building a bond among his players.
01:03Players could just talk about their families, talk about, you know, the things they feel positive about.
01:08Or even sometimes one or two things that might be on their mind and they could speak to someone and
01:13then they get an answer.
01:14And then all of a sudden, you know, it's a feel-good factor.
01:17So I think it's really good, you know, the bonding time that we spend together just brings us closer.
01:24And with the match being at home, Coach Briggs is appealing to fans to come out and support.
01:29Just come out and support the women.
01:31I think they've worked really hard during this campaign.
01:34And, you know, they want to make the country proud.
01:36They want to make their families proud as well.
01:38And that 12th man is important to us because they give that energy, they give that lift, they give that
01:44boost.
01:45And, you know, them being there will just make it more memorable for the players and for everyone, you know,
01:51once you cross the line.
