00:00It was a game where, you know, we felt like we spoke half-time if we took the first two
00:06or three chances that was afforded to us early in the game.
00:09It may have been a different game and then they came into it a little bit and like we said
00:15before previously that we knew there was going to be periods when we'd have to suffer without the ball and
00:20we did.
00:21And I thought we, you know, we tried really hard to keep them at bay and, you know, unfortunately, you
00:30know, they got one, you know, from where I was standing, the second one looked at, you know, I can't
00:37say, but it looked a touch offside from where we were.
00:40Coach Damien Briggs assessing the performance of the national women's football team, which suffered a 2-0 defeat to El
00:46Salvador.
00:47He believes that despite being 2-0 down, they still stood a chance of bringing the game back.
00:52Yeah, we believe in all the players. We got 23 for a reason. All the players, we believed in it
00:58and we thought we would make a change and get more centre-forward zone or get more front-line players
01:03on and have a go.
01:04He thanked the players for the support he has gotten over his five-month stint. Now he's hoping for continuity.
01:12Victoria Swift sums up the campaign which saw the national women's team getting one victory, one draw and one defeat.
01:19Obviously, we had our challenges during the campaign, but I believe that we, in spite of all the challenges that
01:28we faced, did a really good job.
01:30And I hope that going forward, that more is poured into the women's program to actually give us a proper
01:36chance to qualify for future World Cups.
01:38Now that the journey is over, fans will be looking to see the next move by the Trinidad and Tobago
01:43Football Association.
01:44Will there be another reset on women's football or are there future plans to keep this team actively playing together?
