00:00Happy to be back. A contingent of athletes which represented TNT at the Krifta Games returned today at the Piako

00:07Manager of the team, Kuki Melville, indicated the athletes gave their best.
00:10She was proud that they exceeded their 2025 medal tally.
00:14I know we are here with 35 medals. We got 25 last year.
00:18Going into this competition, our aim was to surpass our 25, aiming for at least our 30.
00:23And we went above 30, exceeding 25 by 10 medals. And that's a great accomplishment.
00:31President of the National Association of Athletics and Administrators, Efrem Serret, praised the effort of the team and thanked the
00:39Ministry of Sport for their assistance.
00:40A lot of federations have been contacting us because they want to know what difference track and field is doing.
00:46But as I continue to say, track and field is the sport that continues to deliver.
00:52It's the sport that, you know, when we travel, we bring back the medals to Trinidad and Tobago, whether it's
00:58regionally or internationally.
01:00He says the team is preparing for another tournament in August and is hoping for Krifta to be held in
01:05TNT next year.
01:07Thanks and thanks you, Mr. Minister, and by the extension, the government of Trinidad and Tobago,
01:11for providing that opportunity and funding for this team to perform at the 52nd Krifta Games.
01:19And we are hoping that Krifta, 54th Krifta Games, will be in Trinidad and Tobago next year.

01:30behalf.
01:31I also bring greetings from the Honorable Prime Minister, Ms. Kamala Passat-Bissesa,
01:37who sends her heartfelt congratulations and warm regards to the team.

02:04In that regard, I wish to indicate that I will be looking into the possibility of Trinidad and Tobago hosting
02:12the future edition of the Krifta Games.
02:15And I intend to meet with the N3A President, Mr. Serret, to discuss this matter further and to explore what
02:24would be required to make this vision a reality.
