01:25lawn, timed for President Donald Trump's 80th birthday and part of the celebration of the
01:32nation's 250th anniversary, according to the Associated Press.
01:36They argue the Trump administration's authorization of the event was unlawful as it violates National
01:41Park Service regulations prohibiting sporting events on federal park lands.
01:45A lawyer for the plaintiffs said, quote, this is fundamentally a private, commercial,
01:49corrupt use of our most sacred national monuments for private gain.
01:52The White House sent in a statement that the legal challenge was obstructionist, baseless,
01:57and dilatory.
01:57It also said that the event was no different than various other White House hosted events
02:01on the South lawn.
