00:00Starting with the Kerfter Games, it's a proud moment for the Twin Island Nation as the Haseley
00:05Crawford Stadium is hosting the event until Monday.
00:08The opening ceremony was held on Friday afternoon.
00:11It was all happening, the costumes, the colour, the atmosphere.
00:15Then came the parade involving the teams who were participating and that included Trinidad
00:20and Tobago, the host nation.
00:22I'm delighted as President of World Athletics to be here on the 52nd edition of the Kerfter
00:30Games.
00:31That, in itself, is an extraordinary achievement, but that six of those editions have taken place
00:42in Trinidad is absolutely testament to the importance and role that sport at every level
00:51plays in this beautiful country.
00:54In cricket, West Indies head coach Shane Dietz is confident as his team goes into Saturday's
01:00women's World Cup qualifier against Thailand.
01:02The West Indies kept their chances alive after beating Bangladesh by three wickets on Thursday,
01:07with the next game also being a do or die.
01:09Yeah, Thailand are playing now against Pakistan.
01:12They're on top of them.
01:13I've played them a lot with my previous teams and they've got some real skillful spin bowlers
01:18and they fight hard, they field hard, so it's going to be a tough game.
01:22But we're going to just come in and show our skills and really put them to the sword and
01:26have a really good win and hopefully get that net run rate up a bit as well.
01:29Play of the Day is brought to you by FLOW, FLOW inspired by you.
01:35RCB batsman Virat Kohli tried to smash Punjab Kings bowler Arjdeep Singh only for Marko Janssen
01:41to take a magnificent catch in Friday's IPL.
01:44The South African was on the winning side and also earned tonight's TV6, Play of the Day.
