Transcript
00:00Kanisha Shelbourne won gold in the under-20 girls' triple jump.
00:04It's a result she trained hard for.
00:07My training was great at first until I got a minor injury like four weeks ago.
00:12So I started to do therapy and stuff.
00:15But with a strong mindset and the help of coach, faith in God, helped me to become better than I was before.
00:21She indicated that she's not done yet for the year.
00:24For 20-25, my objective is to continue pushing, remember my focus, my goal, continue representing Trinidad at the best I could, and to make as much teams and medals as well.
00:39Meantime, Jenna Marie Thomas, who won bronze in the under-20 girls' 400-meter hurdles, says her performance was a confidence booster.
00:46It also lost for me, obviously, to give me a little confidence.
00:49So it's my first year under-20, so I stepped up my game and I accomplished something.
00:53And, as I said, it's a confidence.
00:56So I stepped up my work and I started to do that.
