03:29Good evening Trinidad and Tobago
03:31And of course to our global audience as well
03:33This is Beyond the Tape
03:34I'm your host with me husband
03:35As we prepare for a long weekend ahead
03:38Yes, it is Thursday the 2nd of April
03:41And we are moving into a beautiful weekend
03:43In the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago
03:45We are here to remind you to remain grounded
03:48And keep you in the new
03:49We are here to remind you
03:50Of the do's and don'ts
03:52When it comes to being out this long weekend
03:55To protect you
03:56And of course to help us with that
03:57We have our favorite officer
03:59On the show each and every
04:00Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
04:02Because it's not Friday
04:03But it's actually getting the day off
04:05Of media this Friday
04:07We are here to be up
04:07ASP, you're still here with us
04:08Good evening to you, sir
04:10Good evening Miss Husbands
04:12Good evening Trinidad and Tobago
04:13And to our international viewers
04:15On behalf of the Commissioner of Police
04:17Deputy Commissioners
04:18First and, first and second division officers
04:21Assistant Commissioners
04:23And
04:23The esteem
04:24Good, all the officers of the esteem
04:27Trinidad and Tobago Police Service
04:28And Miss Husbands
04:29Let me start by saying
04:30Today
04:31Was a day where we recognized
04:33Excellence in Trinidad and Tobago Police Service
04:36Tell us why
04:36The Commissioner and his executives
04:38Saw it fit to commend
04:40By way of
04:42Monetary rewards
04:44Oh, that's nice
04:45Officers
04:46Throughout the different divisions
04:47Sections and branches
04:48Of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service
04:50For commitment
04:52Dedication to duty
04:54Going beyond the call
04:56Keen powers of observation
04:58I felt a way about that
05:00But I don't anymore
05:01By the way
05:02Oh my gosh
05:02Trinidad, she has been delivered
05:04I'm happy to hear that
05:05No, I mean
05:06I see the hard work
05:07That you all put in
05:08And there's no price
05:09To someone's life
05:10And you all go
05:12On the front line
05:12Every single day
05:13I'm going to tell you something
05:14In a society
05:15Where so many times
05:16We choose to give persons
05:17Their flowers
05:18After they would have gone on
05:19You know, I am happy
05:21I am happy that the Commissioner
05:22Sees the opportunity
05:24And sees the moral boost
05:26How it affects these officers
05:29And raise their spirits
05:30And encourage them
05:31To continue working
05:32By way
05:33And I will tell you something
05:34Not only
05:35It wasn't only constables
05:37But there were corporals
05:38There were inspectors
05:39There were sergeants
05:40There were senior superintendents
05:42There were assistant superintendents
05:44There were superintendents
05:45So all ranks
05:45That received awards today
05:48Some of them would have received
05:49Also for their sterling leadership
05:51The way they would have motivated
05:53And led the persons
05:55Under their supervision
05:56So I'm saying
05:56I'm happy
05:57When I see occasions like this
05:59To know that we are indeed
06:00Trending in the right direction
06:02Because
06:02Not all the time
06:04We get our flowers
06:05But we have to look after
06:07Our officers
06:08And ensure that we tell them
06:09Thank you
06:10And good job
06:11Whenever it's necessary
06:12And I want to say
06:13To all the members
06:14Of Eternity and Tobago Police Service
06:16On behalf of the commission
06:17And the entire executive
06:18And as well
06:19As the entire executive
06:21For Eternity and Tobago Police Service
06:22Social and Welfare Association
06:24Thank you
06:25And we appreciate you
06:26For everything that you do
06:28Because this weekend
06:29Officers have no rest
06:31Well I know you have no rest
06:32While you go to the beaches
06:34Ah
06:35While you go to the beaches
06:36While you go to your parties
06:38While you go to your clubs
06:39Your bars
06:40Your engagements
06:40Your sporting activities
06:41We are there
06:42Oh they're protecting
06:43Not only you and your loved ones
06:45But your properties
06:46Ensuring that the roadway
06:47The road network is safe
06:49And persons are really
06:50Driving
06:51And obeying the law
06:53Of the land
06:54So those are just
06:55Some of the photos
06:55There on the screen
06:56Where the commissioner
06:57ASP
06:58This is a form of motivation
06:59For your officers
07:01Internally
07:01And it is
07:02To build the morale
07:03Of your officers
07:04And that is definitely needed
07:05With the things
07:06That you all are facing
07:07We could talk here
07:08All sorts of
07:09Of you stalk
07:10When I say so
07:11Why you didn't do this
07:12And you could have done that
07:13Is when you're in the position
07:14And you are
07:15In the hot seat
07:16Is what you face with
07:17On a daily basis
07:18You know
07:19And we can't
07:20I can't imagine
07:21I can't imagine
07:22I just
07:23I am lip service
07:24You know
07:25But to those officers
07:27Who work extremely hard
07:28And I will stress
07:30They put their life
07:31On the line
07:31For people that you don't know
07:33You know
07:33We commend you
07:34And you know
07:35And as you say that
07:37What really stood out
07:39To me
07:39Is how many officers
07:42Received
07:44Commendations
07:44For retrieval
07:45Of firearm
07:46Apprehending somebody
07:48With a firearm
07:48Is no easy task
07:50Because you're not sure
07:51To go back home
07:52From that task
07:53Because that person
07:55Is armed
07:55And they are fighting
07:56For their freedom
07:58So when persons are able
07:59And we see the scourge
08:00Of this firearm thing
08:01In our society today
08:02So when my officers
08:03Are there
08:04And they risked their lives
08:05And some of them
08:08Not everybody has
08:09A bulletproof vest
08:10But we are getting
08:10To that point
08:11Where we issued
08:12We had some thousands
08:13That were issued
08:14And the commissioner
08:16Continues
08:16To do his job
08:18To ensure that
08:19Every officer
08:20Is provided
08:20With a bulletproof vest
08:21And I'm saying
08:22He is a commissioner
08:23That cares
08:23We
08:24I have interacted
08:26With him on many occasions
08:27Especially
08:27As somebody
08:29Seeking the welfare
08:30Of the officers
08:30Yes we have some issues
08:32With respect to our promotions
08:33And stuff like that
08:34But
08:34You know
08:35As soon as things
08:36Let up
08:37And we could go ahead
08:37And promote the officers
08:38Officers
08:39We will be doing so
08:40Yes
08:41Now you're speaking
08:41Of gun action
08:42Yes
08:43And officers who
08:44You know
08:44Will be apprehending
08:45Individuals
08:46Who may have firearms
08:47And it's not an easy
08:48Task of course
08:49Now
08:50Two bandits held
08:51And two firearms
08:52Seized from stolen vehicle
08:53By Southern Division
08:54Emergency Response Patrol
08:56Now according to the
08:57TTPS media release
08:58Quick action by officers
09:00Of the Southern Division
09:01Emergency Response Patrol
09:02Last night
09:03Resulted in the arrest
09:04Of two male suspects
09:06Shortly after a report
09:07Of robbery with violence
09:09In the Princess Town
09:10District
09:10Now reports indicated
09:11That a male victim
09:13Was applying his white
09:14Subaru for hire
09:15Around 8.35pm
09:17On Wednesday 1st April
09:182026
09:19When he picked up
09:20Five men posing
09:21As passengers
09:22Along the
09:23Napurima
09:23Mayaro Road
09:24Now according to
09:26The Daily Express
09:28Now
09:28They stated that
09:29A shootout
09:30Between police
09:31And suspects
09:32In that said vehicle
09:34Thieves on Wednesday
09:35Night in Princess Town
09:36Ended with two
09:37Venezuelan men
09:38In custody
09:39And the stolen vehicle
09:40Recovered
09:41The two suspects
09:42Ages 22 and 24 years old
09:44Gave their addresses
09:45To police
09:46As Cedar Hill Road
09:47In Princess Town
09:48Police officers
09:49Received a report
09:50That a white
09:51Subaru
09:51Was stolen
09:52In the
09:53In Venice Road
09:55In Princess Town
09:56At 8.47pm
09:57And this is the result
09:58Of what was recovered
10:00And of course
10:01What person saw
10:03Taking place
10:04That decided to record
10:05And they were in the darkness
10:06And that is something
10:08You have to be careful
10:08Doing just because
10:09You want to get
10:10The video out
10:11But let's not have eyes
10:13Miss Husband
10:14I know you
10:15You heard certain songs
10:16Yes
10:17And to the
10:17By you in public
10:19I hope they heard
10:21The songs
10:22As well
10:24And to those
10:25In authority
10:26And the cpo
10:27I'm hoping
10:28That they heard
10:29The songs as well
10:30Yes
10:30Two firearms recovered
10:33All my officers
10:34Went home safely
10:35Fussy
10:36Thank God
10:36Thank God
10:37Yes
10:37Because like you said
10:38Bullets don't have eyes
10:40Thank God
10:41Again we were able
10:42To apprehend
10:43Suspects
10:43To put them
10:44Before the court of law
10:47So it just goes
10:48To show
10:48The stolen
10:49Contribution
10:50That we continue
10:51To do
10:52To make every place
10:54In Chinatown and Tobago
10:54A safe place
10:56To really
10:58Action
10:58The pillars
11:00Of public safety
11:01Reduce crime
11:02Reduce fair crime
11:03Reduce violent crime
11:05Go back into the communities
11:07We have the
11:08Clothing drive
11:09Yes
11:10We want to give them a reminder
11:11A reminder of that
11:13Is it today
11:13Or this is today
11:15Yes
11:15Yes
11:16We had the clothing drive
11:17As well
11:17Remember
11:18And
11:18You can have clothes
11:21Once you gave
11:22I didn't get
11:24Chance to
11:24To be honest
11:26I can't lie to you
11:27So we
11:28We would
11:28Be expecting it
11:30For the next
11:31Of course
11:31Alright cool
11:32Problem
11:32You know
11:33So
11:33And
11:34These are things
11:35That the TTPS
11:36Continue to do
11:37To and to be good
11:38We are not perfect
11:39We are human beings
11:40And we wouldn't always
11:40Get it right
11:41And for the times
11:43That we don't get it right
11:43I do apologize
11:45But for the most part
11:48We do
11:48Our
11:50Best
11:51All right
11:52And
11:52At this time
11:53Let's take a look
11:53At a video
11:54That took place
11:54In the Chase Village
11:56Area
11:56This is in the triangle
11:58That we are seeing
11:58Here
11:58Now
11:59Pay attention
11:59To the right hand side
12:01Of the video
12:02Where we are seeing
12:02That solid line
12:03That is coming
12:04Onto the major road
12:05And watch that
12:05Street
12:06Boom
12:07Ask me
12:07What you could say
12:08To this video
12:09That you just witnessed
12:10Here
12:11Well
12:11The driver
12:12Should have stopped
12:13Thank you
12:15Mm-hmm
12:16Driver of the black
12:18Vehicle
12:18Should have stopped
12:19Yes
12:19And the other
12:20Driver actually
12:21Try to avoid
12:22The collision
12:22And if you watch
12:26Your time
12:26It is at
12:26441 a.m
12:29441 a.m
12:30But they say
12:31That's jumpy hours
12:31Well you know
12:32And that is the thing
12:34A lot of Trinidadians
12:36Have this concept
12:37That
12:38At that time
12:39In the morning
12:40The road is dead
12:41It's quiet
12:42So we are not
12:42Stopping by traffic light
12:44We are not stopping
12:46By the junctions
12:48Like if
12:48You know
12:49Somebody
12:49Turns the road
12:50Regulations
12:51The mv and rt act
12:52Off
12:52Yeah
12:53As of midnight
12:55Can I say something
12:57Stop obeying
12:58The road rules
13:00And regulations
13:00As midnight
13:01Which because
13:02They have their own
13:04Ideas
13:05But this is an outcome
13:06Persons could have
13:07Lost their lives
13:08There
13:09Can I say something
13:10I'm listening
13:11I am somewhat guilty
13:12I am somewhat guilty
13:16Of
13:17When it's after hours
13:20Traffic lights
13:21I'm speaking of
13:22I'm terrified
13:23I'm not going
13:24Especially if I'm the only person there
13:26I will roll out
13:27A little bit
13:28But if a car pulls up
13:29Next to me
13:30I feel you come
13:31Interrupt me
13:31I feel you mocking me
13:33Why are you there
13:34That is
13:35I'm being honest
13:36And I take precaution
13:38And proceed with caution
13:40But it's still wrong
13:40And I'm happy you touched on that
13:42And let me show you something
13:43Right
13:44Have you ever been robbed
13:47Without me being in the vehicle
13:48Yes
13:50Good
13:51So you're recognized
13:52I mean it's without you being in the vehicle
13:54What do you mean
13:54I was away from the vehicle
13:56And the broken
13:56Or the broken into the vehicle
13:58Yeah
13:58But I'm talking you
13:59Being personally robbed
14:00At gunpoint or what
14:01No
14:01Right
14:04But I listened to your conversation
14:06And that is a living testimony
14:09As to how the fear of crime operate
14:11Yeah
14:13Many of the citizens
14:14Are not victims of crime
14:16But because of what they see on social media
14:20Everyone is walking around
14:22With this amplified fear of crime in their minds
14:27You have the fear of crime
14:28And you have never been a victim
14:30So you see what we have to deal with
14:31So not only treat with crime
14:33But we have to treat with the fear of crime
14:35Because we want persons to feel safe
14:37But what about being proactive
14:38And nothing is wrong with being proactive
14:40But do not break the lights
14:41Because what if something happens there
14:43And then
14:44Because people say
14:45I look left and I look right
14:47And I didn't see the vehicle
14:48There was nothing coming
14:49So the vehicle came out of the sky
14:50No no no
14:51But I mean they still
14:52The person has the green
14:54And if I have to read
14:55They're wrong either way
14:56And Trinidad and Tobago
14:57I will advise you
14:58Regardless to the time of the day
15:00Because you can die right
15:02You can also die wrong
15:03And you can die being proactive
15:05Yes
15:06Obey the traffic regulation please
15:08But a strategy I started doing
15:09If it is that I'm approaching the light
15:11And I see the light
15:12It's still red
15:13I drive slow approaching the lights
15:16So it will give it enough time
15:17To change
15:18So I can continue your momentum
15:20Stand still
15:20So that's another strategy
15:22I have strategies under my belt
15:23I know
15:23But try not to break the law
15:25I can't get any more tickets

16:39The sacrifices that they are making
16:41The efforts that they are making
16:42But it also shows that
16:45As much as we take off
16:47The streets
16:48We are still seeing more
16:50And more
16:51And more
16:52And this is where we have to take the opportunity

21:04A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
21:22Welcome back to Beyond the Tape.
21:24If you're now joining us, we have ASP Russell here with us.
21:26Now, there was an incident that took place where a woman's body was found along the North Coast Road.
21:33According to the Trinidad Express, now police are investigating the discovery of the body of an unidentified woman along the
21:40North Coast Road in Maracas on Wednesday night.
21:44According to police reports, around 10.44 p.m., officers responded to information that a person was lying motionless near
21:52the aggro shop along the roadway.
21:56When officers arrived, they found the woman lying face down on the road.
22:01Police said the woman appeared to be in her 20s of mixed descent, brown complexion, about 5'7", in height
22:09and weight approximately 200 pounds.
22:11She was dressed in a black skirt, brown cardigan, and cream-colored crocs.
22:17Officers also observed what appeared to be foam coming from her mouth and nose.
22:22And again, anyone with information that could assist the officers, I guess, with the details that they would put out
22:26through the TTPS media release, please contact the nearest police station.
22:30If anyone has been missing, giving this description, we ask to give it to the police.
22:35Let us say condolences to the family on behalf of Chantebago Police Service.
22:41And a young female, a young female in her 20s, you know, and sometimes I really wonder what is really
22:49taking place in the minds of some of our citizens who choose this life of crimes.
22:53I mean, men are supposed to protect the females, protect the children.
23:00You know, we are here to be the protectors, yet still we are the ones inflicting the majority of pain
23:07in the society.
23:08Where, you know, what about our conscience, our moral values?
23:11What about we do role reversal and ask yourself, if it was my mother or if it were my sister
23:18or if it was me, would I have liked that?
23:21You know, we need to really think, Trinidad and Tobago, parents, guardians, relatives, cousins, brothers, sisters, you all speak.
23:30Speak to the young men in your village, the young men in your homes, the young men at the school,
23:35the young men in the communities.
23:37Speak to them, have conversations with them, hear what they're saying, guide them, nurture them.
23:44Let us go back to the days where it takes a village to raise a child.
23:48We have to bring it back.
23:51And of course, we will say condolences because it's someone's friend, daughter, family member, loved one that life was taken
23:59here.
23:59Now, today, tell us a little bit more about what took place today where we were able to see, obviously,
24:04the opportunity that is given, really,
24:07to show the support to these officers that the commissioner did.
24:12Well, it was nice to see some officers receive, most officers, if not all, receive not only certificates, but some
24:21cash.
24:22A little kakada.
24:24For the long weekend, as people say, a long time.
24:27And, you know, the police officer's job is a thankless job.
24:33We could never be properly remunerated for this job that we do.
24:40We hope to be that the correct processes, our job evaluations and things like that are completed,
24:46and it falls in the right hands, and we could be so, so remunerated.
24:52But it goes beyond that.
24:54Police service is about being, it's a calling.
24:57Yes.
24:58It's about helping persons.
24:59It's about going beyond.
25:01Miss Husbands, many times I leave here and I go home or the next day I'm calling persons.
25:06I don't, when I tell a caller I'm going to call them, I do call them.
25:10And there are many callers who could attest to that.
25:12It doesn't end after the program.
25:15Well, with that being said, let's take a look at this video.
25:18As we say, thank you to all the officers who continue to work extremely hard.
25:24I must, on behalf of my executive and I, commend the commissioner of police
25:31for the recognition that he has continued to give to the officers on the ground.
25:40Who continue to go out there and, despite the odds, perform and perform well.
25:57It is highly commendable what we are able to achieve and how we are able to achieve it
26:04in order that the objectives that are set out are met.
26:10Within this room, there are officers who are part of different departments, different sections.
26:20And it goes to show that, notwithstanding that we may not always be on the front line,
26:26it doesn't mean to say that the work we are doing is going without recognition.
26:31Today, we gather here to honor the men and women of the Trans-Tobago Police Service,
26:39who in the first quarter of 2026, demonstrated what it truly means to serve with courage,
26:48discipline and unwavering commitment to country.
26:52In every success in this organization, there are those who stand boldly on the front line.
27:00Facing danger, we confront uncertainty and we place ourselves between our citizens
27:07and those who would wish to do them harm.
27:09So, your bravery is visible, undeniable and deeply respected.
27:16At least, by me and the members of the executive and post-division officers.
27:22But policing is never only about the visible.
27:26Because behind every successful operation, there are those of you who worked quietly,
27:33often without public recognition.
27:36The intelligence officers who gather the fragments of information that others overlook.
27:41The analysts who transform raw data into actionable insight.
27:47The planners who map the risk, anticipate the threats, and prepare our teams for what lies ahead.
27:54And the operational units who execute with precision, discipline, and professionalism.
28:02Today, we honor all of you.
28:05Those in the spotlight and those in the shadows.
28:10Because each success brings and each success belongs to the collective strength of the organization.
28:18There are those among you who earn commendation, not through confrontation, but through compassion.
28:29Through positive interactions with the public.
28:33You reminded our citizens that policing is not about enforcement only.
28:39It is about service.
28:41When the public praises you, the public praises the organization.
28:47And today, the organization returns that praise to you.
28:52Your actions, whether on the street, in an operations room, or in the community,
28:59reflect values we are determined to uphold.
29:03Values of integrity.
29:05Values of accountability.
29:07Values of professionalism and respect.
29:10Let these commendations serve not only as recognition of past performance,
29:17but as a reminder of the responsibility we carry.
29:21Trinidad and Tobago depends on us.
29:24And every day, you prove that we are equal and ready to accept that responsibility.
29:32To each awardee, I say to you congratulations.
29:37To each officer and civilian member of staff who contributed to these successes, I say thank you.
29:44And to the people of Trinidad and Tobago,
29:47we remain committed to earning your trust, your confidence, and your partnership.
29:58Hearing from the TTPS Police Commissioner, Alistair Guevara, of course,
30:02also we saw the president of the Police Welfare Association as well, Mr. Pitt.
30:07And of course, the VP was there, present in the mix of things.
30:11How do you feel witnessing what we just saw there?
30:14And thank you to the officers, by the way.
30:15Ms. Husbands, you know what stood out?
30:17It's a reminder of the responsibility that we carry.
30:21Yes.
30:22And, you know, when you, and what I like about this, right,
30:27when you go back into the Bible, you would see where Christ said,
30:33I mean, he became, he himself became a servant and washed the feet of the disciples.
30:44This is what the commissioner is doing there.
30:46He understands.
30:49Ms. Husbands, it's no easy task.
30:51People stand.
30:52People criticize.
30:54Everybody has an opinion and we respect that.
30:56But no one knows the trials and tribulation it takes.
31:04I was up at 4 o'clock this morning, was at one media house for 6.30,
31:10left, went, chaired that, and I'm here before you today.
31:15And serving a service.
31:16My day continues after this as well.
31:19And I do it out of love, out of wanting to show the service in a different light.
31:27Because I hear the comments.
31:29But I'm not only to inspire and encourage hope and encourage camaraderie,
31:35not only amongst my officers but between the police and the public.
31:38I am here to deliver a message.
31:41And he definitely did that.
31:43To the public.
31:43So, you know, I thank the commissioner there for the opportunity for having me here.
31:48So that we could continue to help bring Trinidad back together piece by piece,
31:53bit by bit, hand by hand, my hand and your hand.
31:57All right.
31:58Together as one.
31:59I'll be going down there.
31:59All right.
32:00Happy belated birthday.
32:01Going out quickly to Mr. Pitt.
32:04You celebrated your birthday.
32:05So happy belated birthday to you.
32:07We'll take that break.
32:07We'll continue with more after this.
32:09Two minutes.
32:10Two minutes.
32:28Two minutes.
32:35After this.
32:36Two minutes.

40:34Has the TTS been infiltrated by the Tren de Aragua?
40:43Sorry to be hard this evening, but that is the frightening thing,
40:46because I know they have been infiltrated in Trinidad through the open borders.
40:52They might have infiltrated a number of organizations,
40:55but the most critical one is you all have to protect and eliminate these sort of issues.
41:02I'm going to have a nice evening.
41:03Thank you so much, sir.
41:04Yes, sir?
41:05Right, so...
41:06It's serious allegations there.
41:07No, no.
41:08Well, let me start with, every time this caller calls, I have an idea where he's going.
41:13So, yes, sir, I'm happy that you would have witnessed that we have started.
41:18We have started.
41:19And I don't want to say started.
41:20We continue to cleanse the service.
41:25So I wouldn't say started, because there are hundreds of officers before the disciplinary tribunal
41:30and before the courts of Trinidad and Tobago.
41:33So it can't be started.
41:35It's a continuation.
41:37And in the coming future, you would see an even further ramp-up of officers who indulge in corrupt activities
41:47being placed before the court,
41:50regardless of their rank.
41:52So when you ask about what is going on at the top, once there is necessary information, no man is
41:59immune, without favor and affection, malice and ill will.
42:02And once there is enough information, it goes to the director of public prosecution, who would say yea or nay
42:09as it pertains to charging or preferring a charge.
42:12Right.
42:13When you speak about the situation with the police officer in the central division, I want to tell you so
42:19that that officer was arrested and placed before the court by the same professional standards bureau.
42:25If we have been infiltrated, I would want to say no, this is a situation that I don't know what
42:33the officer was thinking.
42:35Probably he has a financial situation that exists.
42:38But I don't see it as one where we have been infiltrated by any gang or any drug cartel.
42:46Right now, we don't have that information, neither do we have the intelligence to say that we have indeed been
42:53infiltrated.
42:54So I am saying continue to trust and support the members of the Chilean and Tobago Police Service.
42:59All right, we take that break.
43:01We'll be back with more.
43:01We'll be back with more.

48:09Now, speaking of great work, we are seeing here, according to the TTPS media release, the Air Support Unit leads
48:17successful rescue of lost hikers in the Northern Range.
48:20Now, two hikers who became lost in the Northern Range between Monday, 30th March and Tuesday, 31st of March, 2026,
48:28were successfully rescued officers of the Air Support Unit.
48:32The hikers had ventured, of course, the hikers had ventured, of course, while attempting to access the airplane crash site
48:38via the Bamboo Cathedral in Macripe and subsequently became disoriented in dense forest terrain.
48:46And of course, they were able to be rescued, and we're happy to hear that they're safe and this camping
48:54thing is something I am very wary of.
48:59The captain speaks of it all the time, captain speaks of the captain speaks of it all the time, captain
49:01Rambarak.
49:02I am asking persons that when you're going into these areas, that you go with somebody who is trained, who
49:07is qualified, who knows the terrain, so that they can carry you in and bring you back out.
49:14Now, let me tell you something. When I was working at a previous section, we had a lot of jungle
49:19or forest activities, and you may go in and you may look at your time and say, all right, 4
49:25.30, but by the time you look at that 4.30, quarter to 5, it is already dark in there.
49:31So you have special forces training.
49:34Mrs. Osborne, we can talk about special. I have a little thing.
49:38Oh, no, just asking. We have a call on. We'll call on. Good evening.
49:42Good afternoon. I like to be here.
49:46Yes, you're live, sir.
49:48Good evening, sir.
49:48Okay, good afternoon, Mr. Osborne.
49:50Hi, good evening, sir.
49:52Okay, it's a two-year-old first time caller. Good afternoon, officer.
49:56Good evening, sir.
49:58Well, I look at you every time you want to be on your team.
50:02Well, you have passion. You have integrity. You have pride. And I admire you for that.
50:11So thank you, thank you, thank you.
50:13Well, God bless them to keep it strong and healthy, to keep going like the bunny rabbit partners.
50:22I call them from Morocco.
50:25All right, first time.
50:26Thank you, sir.
50:27Yesterday, the topically dangerous dog. I have a dangerous dog.
50:34Don't laugh at him. His mother is a put-out.
50:38He has three fathers.
50:39One is a bull carrier.
50:41I'll station Rottweiler middle.
50:43But he cannot come over the wall.
50:45The wall is about eight feet high as strong in my room.
50:49So he is...
50:50He's the boss in the yard.
50:54So if you want to jump by all fathers, you have to find the consequences.
51:01So before you go, how the mother has three fathers, you said?
51:06Well, the owner of the dog, he gave me that dog when it was three months old.
51:13Right.
51:14He lost his job due to the COVID and he was giving away the dog.
51:20And I wanted a female, but he told me one female he had and somebody take it.
51:23So he had four meals.
51:24So he bought one for me.
51:27All right.
51:27And as he...
51:28The fourth meal was in a box in the car.
51:31All right.
51:31And as the man stepped up and he opened the door, he said, take everyone.
51:34This one just jumped on me.
51:37And he hung his arm on to my wife.
51:40And let me from that day to now, that dog is so protective of us.
51:45We can't speak to no neighbor.
51:47No neighbor can call you to be here and have to go and want to.
51:50All right.
51:50Thank you, sir.
51:51He made it all over there.
51:53Okay.
51:54Thank you, sir.
51:55I don't think you understand my question, but...
51:57So, well, first of all, let me thank you for the kind words.
52:00It goes a long way.
52:02It kind of makes me blush a little bit.
52:04With respect to the dog, you know, that the Dog Controls Act,
52:08you need to make yourself, familiarize yourself with that act,
52:11and you will see your responsibilities.
52:13That dog's supposed to be registered.
52:16Insured.
52:17You're supposed to have a permit.
52:18You're supposed to have an insurance, not less than $250,000.
52:22Your property's supposed to be visited so that the regional corporation,
52:26they can ensure that your property is properly fenced
52:31to reduce any risk of that dog escaping and becoming a threat
52:38to the citizens outside your property line.
52:41So I hope that you did the right thing.
52:44I understand the dogs being that first line of defense,
52:48but I'm just asking that citizens of Shenanthibig, including yourself,
52:52do the right thing.
52:53Yeah, we have another caller.
52:54Caller, good evening.
52:56Hello?
52:58Hello?
52:59Hi, good evening.
53:00Good evening, caller.
53:00Hi.
53:02Good evening, officer.
53:03Good evening, sir.
53:06I was watching a program, from time to time,
53:09but I'm a very good time caller.
53:10But, you know, by watching a program, it has learned things, right?
53:15It has learned a lot of things in the program,
53:17what could happen, what kind of happened,
53:19when you could get charged, or when you can't get charged, right?
53:22But I have some concern.
53:25Well, I'm really concerned.
53:26It's just a pen on my mind.
53:29Now, we have security officers.
53:32You know the security officers run under the Supplemental Police Act, right?
53:36But I know it has security officers around in my area.
53:40I ain't going to call the area.
53:42But it has officers who work here with a particular company,
53:47and they carry the police jersey,
53:51what carry GB on it.
53:53Now, we all know GB stands for the Guardian Emergency Branch.
53:58And they carry that.
54:00And walking around with firearms and things,
54:03just like if there's police.
54:04Now, there's not police.
54:06How come they could get in touch?
54:08I mean, if they have these stores,
54:10they could go into these stores and buy,
54:12or maybe have a good friend,
54:13which I know the person has some friends,
54:15and they could get the jersey from them.
54:18But that is,
54:19into the law,
54:21that is impersonating a police officer,
54:24although you have the authority to arrest
54:27because you're preceptive.
54:29Now, we understand that you're preceptive,
54:32but you only have powers on the compound
54:34that you are working as a security officer.
54:36Now, to the other point is that,
54:41yes, they may have forced an arrest
54:43because you're a carrier FUL
54:45and you're a carrier precept,
54:47but even though you arrest someone,
54:49you need to make a handover to the police, right?
54:53And I think that is in danger in their own life,
54:56not only,
54:56and to even the family in the car,
54:58because you're not a police officer,
55:00and they're taking home the gun with them.
55:02I am telling you that,
55:04they're taking home the gun with them,
55:05and going back out to the Chinese and the man who,
55:09now,
55:10I say I'm not calling no name,
55:12but that is not supposed to happen, right?
55:16And,
55:17on the other note,
55:19I mean,
55:20it might sound kind of passionate,
55:22but I watch your program now
55:23because I can handle Alexander for your brother.
55:28Let's have a blessed son,
55:29and be safe with you, sir.
55:30All right, sir.
55:32ESP?
55:33I was hoping for the last line,
55:36you didn't go there.
55:38Forget that.
55:39Just go.
55:40But I would move on from that.
55:42Well,
55:42the officers has in their possession,
55:44FUEC,
55:45but what your,
55:46the information that you stated is quite concerning.
55:49Guard and Emergency Branch,
55:50GB,
55:51we have,
55:51some of them would have T-shirts with the six-point stars,
55:54but as G-E-B,
55:57for Guard and Emergency Branch,
55:58written on it.
55:59So,
55:59I would love to get your contact number
56:02so that I can have a further conversation with you
56:05to see where this is taking place.
56:06It may be something that we need to look at
56:08or have a conversation with the owner of this security company
56:12as it pertains,
56:13because those issues that you raised there
56:16are indeed concerning to us,
56:19especially in a time like this
56:21where we have persons impersonating police officers.
56:24So,
56:25I would love to have a contact number for you
56:28so we could have further conversation on this matter, sir.
56:32All right.
56:33I witnessed something earlier today
56:35where there was heavy police presence
56:37outside the prison in Port of Spain there.
56:43Yeah,
56:44and what we're witnessing here,
56:46could you divulge any information
56:48that took place there at all?
56:50I know you can't give us full detail.
56:54Well, you know,
56:56let's not bury our heads in the sand.
56:59We all would have seen videos emanating from prisons,
57:04from prison cells and stuff like that.
57:06So, from time to time,
57:07we are invited by our colleagues in the prisons
57:09service to come and do collaborative exercises with them,
57:13and I believe that is what you're witnessing there,
57:15is one protective service.
57:17So,
57:18we call on the defense force,
57:19the defense force could call on us,
57:21the prisons could call on us,
57:23we call on the prisons,
57:24it's about information sharing and developing of intelligence
57:27so that we could really, you know,
57:30really treat with the crime before it happened,
57:32preventative measures could be implemented,
57:35as well as in times where the crime happened,
57:37where we could network and really bring persons
57:39before the court to answer for the crime.
57:41So, we have a lot of,
57:42and, you know,
57:42contraband is something that we usually find in prisons.
57:45For some reason,
57:46these cell phones,
57:47they keep getting feet and walking into the cells.
57:51Literally.
57:51Cigarettes just keep jumping the walls and stuff like that,
57:54and I am hoping that that stops immediately.
57:57Because it adds to it.
57:57Correct.
57:58You know.
57:59So,
57:59it would have been an exercise.
58:01Bill, a few seconds.
58:02Try and Tobago.
58:04All I want you to do is to behave yourself,
58:07love,
58:08and care for each other.
58:09Have a wonderful weekend.
58:11Remember the reason for the weekend as well.
58:13It's a holy one.
58:14To the children,
58:15men,
58:16be protectors of the women,
58:18and the children,
58:19love each other.
58:20I will see you all next week,
58:22God's willing.
58:22All right.
58:23Thank you so much.
