00:00It's a shame that he got held up by Agora, wasn't it?
00:03I know, yeah, and he was really angry by this.
00:05He's out of sync there, so Peko came in a little bit earlier to go for his second time attack.
00:10These guys in front of him, including Agora, they are launching that lap.
00:14So they're just coming out of the pits, activating their tyres, but they're not on race pace.
00:18They're not on qualifying pace, and Peko has got no way through there.
00:21This is a tight section from turn 12 to turn 15, so he's really angry there.
00:26You can tell that means a lot to him because he's got pace,
00:29and he wants to make it count.
00:31So he still managed a good effort.
00:33So in the end, he'll have a decent position for the race.
00:38And yeah, it's just a shame that that first lap is when the rear tyre is really at maximum,
00:44where it really gives you the most grip.
00:48So for him, there's something missing there.
00:50There's something missing there, but what we can see is there is a change here for Peko Banyai,
00:56even from what we saw yesterday, Michael.
00:58Yeah, I think he's arrived this weekend with the normal carcass in the rear of the machine,
01:04gives him the feeling he needs to stop, hit his apexes, hit his markers,
01:07and he looks like the Peko one year ago when he was here.
01:10He was very strong around this racetrack, but I think this is the kickstart to his season.
01:14I think they've improved overnight as Peko normally does, but I think he looks good.
01:18So yeah, I hope he can get a good start, make some overtakes because he's got podium pace,
01:21but so many riders have today. There's a lot in the mix for this battle.
01:25I think it's going to be a great race.
01:26And the fact that he's outqualified Mark for the first time since Mettege last year,
01:32when he was the hero, we haven't seen him basically since Mettege, will that stick with him?
01:37He disappeared, didn't he? I mean, unbelievable.
01:39Just, you know, I always say it, what bike was he on?
01:42Yeah, he's like double world champion, went from dominating a full weekend to absolutely nowhere,
01:48and scored single digit in, what, seven, eight races? Unbelievable.
01:52So yeah, it's good to see him back. He will be happy in the fact that he's outqualified Mark,
01:56a little bit less happy that DG on the same bike he's on pole position,
01:59but I think overall he'll be happy because it does look like he finds some feeling back.
02:04And like Michael said, coming back to that standard rear carcass tyre,
02:07gives him a little bit more grip in the braking zones.
02:11That means a little bit less inertia onto the front tyre,
02:14more ability to brake, pushes it a bit less.
02:16So yeah, it looks a bit better.
02:18Okay, good. Well, second row. Well, let's have a look at the front row then.
02:22And one man that kind of went under the radar really throughout that session,
02:25but did manage to launch himself to the front row is the Shark, Pedro Acosta.
02:32Pedro, well done today. You all really had to find space there to do your lap,
02:35but you did and you deliver a front row for KTM. How satisfying is that?
02:39Yeah, super happy at the end. It was a long time without being in a first row.
02:42And you know how important it is now the qualifying model for this.
02:46Super happy now, time to check everything with the team and try to make a good strategy
02:50because it looks like Aprilia and Ducari are still being super fast here for this.
02:55It's time to try to play our cards.
02:57How different does the track feel, not just from last year, but also in these cooler temperatures today?
03:02Yeah, much better. I mean, yesterday, I think it was quite difficult to everyone to find grip.
03:06And for these many crashes, it looks like everything was working better today, even for us for this.
03:11Let's try to keep in this line.
03:12All the best later. Thank you.
03:16You can't not love Pedro Acosta, can you? I mean, he just puts it all out there. He doesn't care.
03:22And just talking about the changing conditions of the track, I just wonder how much it will change up until
03:27the sprint
03:28and how that could affect the KTM.
03:30It's going to get warmer. So, yeah, a bit more temperature, not as much as yesterday.
03:34I don't think it's going to affect much. I think the big thing was this morning that it was so
03:38much cooler than yesterday.
03:39It was a bit of a shock for everybody, and that's why we saw so many crashes in MotoGP in
03:43that first session before qualifying.
03:46But Pedro Acosta does the business. I mean, how good is he?
03:49The difference every single time with the teammates or with the guys on the same bike, it's unreal.
03:54So, you've got to give it to him. He's an exceptional rider.
03:57And even though he's on the back foot in Brazil, just like all the KTM riders, he's in the mix
04:02again this weekend.
04:03Wow, what a performance.
04:04He's the one that's just able to push everything out of that bike, isn't he?
04:07Okay, let's go to the middle of the front row of the grid.
04:10Then we'll find the championship leader sitting there, Marco Bussecki.
04:15Marco, well done. You picked yourself up after the warm-up and another front row for you.
04:20And just how satisfying? Just talk us through that lap.
04:23Yeah, I'm very, very happy. It was a positive qualifying for me.
04:26And I can't complain at all. The feeling with the bike is improved compared to yesterday.
04:30And yeah, very, very happy overall.
04:32I mean, how tough was that qualifying? It was so close, but how competitive do you feel on the Aprilia
04:37here at Kota?
04:38Yeah, it was super tough and all the bikes looks that are super strong, all the riders, obviously.
04:46So, happy to be in the first row is always important. It's never easy.
04:50And here even more because the track is super long and to make a good lap is not so easy.
04:57So, happy about the performance.
04:59Thanks, Marco.
05:02And not to forget, Michael, that he didn't mention it there.
05:05Of course, he'd gone down in the session before that.
05:07So, to be able to just re-compartmentalize, come back, put it on the front row, pretty good.
05:12Yeah, he will know the crash was probably a cold tire this morning.
05:17But then he had to reset, get everything right, and he nailed it.
05:21He did get good track position behind his teammate.
05:23But as they mentioned, there's so many fast riders this weekend.
05:26He knows he's got rhythm. Has he got the sprint pace? Yet to be seen.
05:30Martin's looking good. Iagura's down in 12th, but he's got the speed to battle for a podium this weekend as
05:35well.
05:35So, it is such a long track, so many different challenges to get the set up right.
05:39But it does look like Bussecki's got something again this weekend.
05:42Can he keep that win streak going?
05:45I don't think he's the favorite for the sprint, but he will be there in the main race tomorrow.
05:49Who is your favorite for the sprint?
05:51Cool.
05:51Digi?
05:51Difficult one? Yeah, I probably would say Digi, actually.
05:54Just his rhythm, his consistency, his one lap pace.
05:56He needs to get the start.
05:58The run up to the hill at turn one, that's going to be ultra important.
06:01Okay, let's find out.
06:03Howdigia is feeling then. Another pole position, back-to-back for the Italian.
06:09Fabio, congratulations. That was a brilliant qualifying for us to watch.
06:12For you, back-to-back poles at one of your favorite tracks and a new record.
06:16You must be so pleased with that.
06:17I'm really happy. I'm really grateful to the team because yesterday they made a big change to the bike for
06:22this morning.
06:23And I was a little afraid because, at the end, we were going quite fast yesterday.
06:27But they sent it perfectly what they needed to improve.
06:30And, yeah, I'm super happy. The lap was amazing.
06:33I loved every centimeter of it because it was a full adrenaline lap.
06:38I pushed really hard to make it.
06:41But, yeah, two in a row.
06:42So, let's keep the momentum, but most importantly, let's keep focus for the races.
06:47Are you able to tell us kind of what change was made and is that going to help you, do
06:51you think, for the sprint later?
06:52We changed something on the balance and it was for this, I think, that it was quite a big change.
06:57But, as I said, they were super right. So, that was good.
07:01All the best later.
07:06Do you know, I was just looking at these front two rows, led, of course, by Digia, who's been brilliant
07:11in the sprints recently, and we know fights for everything.
07:13But what are two rows we've got for the sprint later on this afternoon?
07:17So, you've got, obviously, Digi, Bez, and Acosta. Then you've got Banaya on form, Mir, and Mark.
07:24And what I'm asking you, who goes in favourite here, it's pretty tough, isn't it?
07:28Because you know that Mark from the second row is going to get a great start round here.
07:33And you know he's going to be super aggressive. You know he's going to want to make that ground back.
07:39He's also, I don't think he's appreciated too much losing out to Digi Antonio in Brazil last week.
07:44He was really upset after the race, getting beaten, essentially, on the same bike by another rider.
07:48That does not happen so much in Mark's book. So, yeah, he's going to be fiery.
07:52Also, not being able to quite put the lap together. So, it's both well.
07:57I think we're going to get two interesting races.
08:00I think it's going to be explosive with a grid like that.
08:03And as you mentioned there, let's not forget that Mark is the king of Kotep.
08:07Maybe not in recent years. Well, yeah, but he still won the sprint last year.
08:10And when he crashed out, he crashes out from the league, you know.
08:12So, he's up there and he's had seven victories round here.
08:15And this weekend is his chance to get himself back in the game, isn't it?
08:20Yeah, he's still a big threat for both races, the sprint and the main one tomorrow.
08:25We've seen from the analysis earlier how good he is in the brakes.
08:28Over race distance, that really pays off.
08:30But you named six riders and any one of them could win today.
08:33And that doesn't even include Jorge Martin, your favourite from yesterday for the sprint.
08:37It's so close. I think it's good that we've got the Honda in the mixed mirror with this more regular
08:42rear tyre.
08:43He looks like he's a threat. He needs to start. He needs to get stuck in.
08:47But, yeah, even he could be on the podium today.
08:48So, yeah, I love it that we've got the Aprilias, the Ducatis, the KTM of Pedro in there, the Honda
08:53there.
08:53Only the Yamaha is lacking at the moment, but they're on their way up.
08:56So, yeah, I think MotoGP is in such a sweet spot at the moment.
08:58It's great to have that mix of manufacturers at the front.
09:01I mean, Pedro really the only one that's able at the moment to do it for KTM.
09:04But to have him on the front row is, as you say, it's very sweet, isn't it?
09:08And it's warming up here, certainly hot track action, but it's definitely getting warmer for the sprint this afternoon.
09:15That'll be at eight o'clock your time in the UK.
09:18So an evening Saturday sprint. So that'll be nice.
09:21We'll take a little break. And when we come back, more qualifying for you.
09:24See you on the other side.

13:01While in the women's, we've a London derby between Chelsea and Spurs.
13:08Well, back here at the Circuit of the Americas, everybody's just settling in to the weekend.
13:14And the three-time world superbike champion, the king of superbikes, top-rack Raz Gatlioglu, has landed in the GP
13:22paddock.
13:22And on Thursday, Sylvain had a lovely chat with him about his new life and all the changes that he's
13:29had to make.
13:35Hey, how are you doing, mate?
13:37Good to see you.
13:37Good to see you.
13:38You're good?
13:39Yes, yourself?
13:40Yeah, I'm okay.
13:41Are you enjoying your stint?
13:43Yeah, two days.
13:44I saw you on the scooters actually in the town.
13:46Not too many stoppies.
13:48Uh, no.
13:48The brake is not really good.
13:50Maybe we need a carbon brake.
13:52Right?
13:52Yeah, we'll do it.
13:54So, Toprak, welcome and thanks for your time.
13:57You've been the king of superbikes lately.
13:59Well, the last few years anyway.
14:01Yeah.
14:01How did the move to MotoGP come?
14:03When did you decide to come to MotoGP?
14:06Yeah, because, you know, especially the last two years, we did very special, the titles with BMW.
14:14And, and after, you know, I'm just thinking, okay, I need another challenge because, okay, I'm winning the race.
14:21This is really good for the rider, you know, for the teams.
14:25But, sometimes, you know, the superbike is not enough to me.
14:29And also, everyone sent me the message, you know, when I'm sharing the pictures, everyone write, go to MotoGP, go
14:37to MotoGP.
14:39And I'm doing a stoppie, everyone writing, go to MotoGP, but, you know, I'm just doing a stoppie while you're
14:45riding the MotoGP.
14:47Anyway, finally, I'm here.
14:50Toprak, what a treat it is to have this man in the MotoGP paddock.
14:57Toprak Razgatlioglu, what a talent.
14:59Toprak Razgatlioglu, what a talent.
15:00From the beginning already, we started to understand immediately that he, he have a big talent.
15:08He could be one of the, let's say, best rider for our program, for Yamaha for the future.
15:14He, he, he have a speed.
15:16He have, let's say, all the tools that MotoGP rider needs to become one of the best.
15:24For sure, it's a long journey, it's still a long journey,
15:27but he has everything what their MotoGP rider needs
15:32to become really one of the best.
15:36Can you tell us how did you feel
15:39the first time you tried a MotoGP bike?
15:41What impressed you, what surprised you?
15:44Yes, what surprised me, the speed.
15:48You know, more powerful and also the gearbox is amazing.
15:54And the brake, of course, much better
15:57because I need a brake.
15:59The more difficult for me, the tires and the seat position
16:02because the MotoGP seat position is different.
16:05We are higher.
16:06Yeah, this is difficult for me because the last two years
16:10I ride the Superbike very lower seats.
16:14I know, my knees are still hurting.
16:16Yeah, you know my seat position.
16:18Also, you don't like, right?
16:20Too low, right?
16:21It's different, but it's good for braking.
16:23Sometimes, you need to change your style, you know?
16:26But for the riders, the change style is not easy.
16:30It takes the time a lot.
16:32Still, I am trying to change my style,
16:34also the riding position.
16:36And, okay, I'm maybe not 100% ready,
16:41but every race weekend I'm trying to my best.
16:45Now, he's in a completely different world compared to the Superbike.
16:48And, of course, he's a rider, he's always champion,
16:52he's used to winning the races.
16:54When he's coming here now with not the strongest package with Yamaha.
16:58Fortunately, he's not really competitive,
17:01but this is, you can see also, like with all Yamahas, you know?
17:04They are struggling a lot.
17:07And for him, it's also a little bit hard, I think, in this moment,
17:09because he always wants to win.
17:12He has this spirit inside to go for it.
17:15But also, he's learning.
17:17He has a different process now, because, like I say,
17:21Superbike and MotoGP, and it's, okay, you have two bikes,
17:24but it's a different world.
17:26But I believe in him, because with his talent
17:29and his very strong also mentally,
17:31he can achieve very good things in MotoGP also.
17:35People at home didn't know how difficult it is to walk
17:38from Superbike to MotoGP.
17:40He has to learn a lot of things.
17:42It's a journey where most of the time,
17:46you have to be calm and understand what you really need,
17:49what you really need to change on your day-by-day on track.
17:55It's not just about a few tests and a few races.
17:59On my opinion, he will need at least half a season
18:03to really understand what you have to do all the time
18:07when you're on track.
18:09And not just what you have to do on the bike,
18:12also outside of the bike, in the garage,
18:14how to explain to the guys what happened
18:17during the test, during the race.
18:21It's a process that needs a lot of experience,
18:25experience that MotoGP riders have already here don't have.
18:30MotoGP have a lot of, let's say, tools that you can work on it,
18:36that he didn't know.
18:37Here, you can do everything you want.
18:40So this paddock is very different now.
18:43Yeah.
18:43But you have some mates, you have some people you hang out with.
18:47Have you met some new people?
18:49Have you made some new friends and find some old friends
18:51to go back together?
18:53I'm happy because I'm very happy with my team,
18:56because everyone is very warm and inside the atmosphere is really good.
19:01I'm really enjoying with the team and especially the Jack Miller,
19:05you know, my teammate.
19:07He's a crazy guy, but we are really good, the teammate, you know.
19:13He's helping you?
19:14He's helping you with adapting?
19:16In Malaysia, he's helping me a lot and also in Thailand,
19:20because I'm trying to understand the bike potential and the limit.
19:25And also, you know, my target, the, you know, staying with the Yamaha riders in the race.
19:31Sometimes this one is okay, but sometimes so hard because they are on all the tires,
19:36you know, the tire is a big difference.
19:38The front tire is okay, I adapt, I understand, I know the limit now.
19:43But the rear is very strange because you have just a small gap.
19:47With the spinning?
19:47Yeah, because if you find this, you are always riding fast.
19:54Because still, I'm not finding the grip, but there are no, where is the grip, you know,
19:58there are no the tires I was working.
20:01I need to learn this.
20:02Sometimes you need to ride very soft and the searching the grip.
20:07Okay, sometimes I'm doing this, but the many times, you know,
20:12because if you follow the fast riders, you know, you need,
20:17you are always open the gas too early, you know.
20:19You're trying to help.
20:20Yeah, because he's fast, you are staying, try to stay with him.
20:24You are always touching the gas early, try to more heartbreaking.
20:28But MotoGP bike, what I understand, you need to riding a little more calm.
20:33Top rack, Razgatliolu, in fifth.
20:36He is supremely talented, isn't he?
20:39You can't doubt his talent.
20:41It's not a question of is it going to happen, it's a question of when.
20:45He want to show his speed, he want to see his name on the top as is normal.
20:51But honestly speaking, at the moment, he cannot, he cannot for two reasons.
20:55One, because he needs experience, he needs time.
20:58As I said, it's still a long journey.
21:01And second, at the moment, our bike is not, let's say,
21:06fast and good enough to see his potential at the moment.
21:10So it's a matter of, let's say, time and be calm.
21:15And where I, let's say, like to work in this area with the rider,
21:20because I need to advise him, I need to keep calm.
21:23I need to explain what he can do, what he cannot do.
21:28This is where I have to, let's say, stay behind,
21:32besides Toprak and help the rider to be in the current mindset
21:38all the weekend and race by race.
21:41Well, Neni is my, like, a big brother.
21:44He has a lot more experience than me, but at the moment here,
21:48I spend more years in this paddock, no?
21:51Of course, I cannot say to him, okay, on the bike, you need to do this, this.
21:54No, it's opposite.
21:55He say me this.
21:56But at least, you know, as a good friend, I'm always to support.
22:01I mean, anything I can do, of course, I'm here for him,
22:04but also myself, you know, I'm also racing.
22:07No, but the friendship we have is very good.
22:11And also, like, when he comes to my box, he's like, okay,
22:14this rider is good, this rider, no, you can do there,
22:16maybe this corner you can improve.
22:18And also, I try to do, okay, Yamaha is maybe not the best,
22:21but I see always he's, like, angry.
22:23He don't achieve the results, like, he wants to be always on the top,
22:27but at the moment, he's struggling.
22:28So, I try to see him, how is he doing, you know?
22:32I think for the moment, for him, it's very important to keep relaxed.
22:36So, maybe I can, I'm a good friend to keep him relaxed.
22:39So, Toprak, we know it's going to be a difficult season
22:41with an ongoing project with Yamaha with the V4 progressing
22:45and you learning and trying to adapt.
22:48How do you keep motivated?
22:49What's your, have you got any targets?
22:52Have you really adjusted your targets for this year?
22:54Yeah, you know, the target always try to stay
22:57with Yamaha riders in the race.
22:59Yeah, this is my target.
23:01And the beginning, I'm always looking at the other brands,
23:05you know, the Honda, the Ducati and the KTM.
23:09I'm always following these riders.
23:11I see always the difference, you know?
23:13I'm talking about this, but TeamSafe, please, you know,
23:16this year, we are also learning, you know,
23:19we are improving the Yamaha bike.
23:22And now I'm just focusing on the Yamaha riders,
23:24trying to stay with them in the race.
23:28But how do I keep myself motivated?
23:32That's one is very difficult because,
23:35okay, I'm thinking always like this, but the more,
23:40when I come back to box,
23:42it's difficult to see your name.
23:44Yeah, this is the very difficulty, you know?
23:46Well, in Brazil, Friday afternoon,
23:47must have felt good to see you at the top.
23:48Yeah, it's perfect.
23:49I'm looking to start the down.
23:52I see my name in the top three.
23:54I'm surprised.
23:55Yeah, it's much better.
23:55Yeah, exactly.
23:56We know that your talent, you know,
23:59this extra magic that you made happen in World Superbikes,
24:03this will translate at some point.
24:05And we're all convinced, including myself,
24:07that it's going to happen.
24:08So please be patient.
24:09Have some fun this year.
24:11Try and have some targets with the other Yamaha guys.
24:14Yeah.
24:15And we hope all the best for the season,
24:17for you to progress,
24:18and maybe be at the top next year.
24:22I hope.
24:22Thank you very much.
24:23Thank you, Top 5.
24:26Really fascinating to hear about the big shift
24:28that Toprak has had to make there,
24:31and we are all delighted to have him on board.
24:34Well, we're going to take a short break now,
24:36but when we come back, legends only.
24:50Welcome to the pit.
24:51Let's go save some lives.
24:58Alex, you've lost a lot of blood.
24:59You need to go to surgery right away.
25:00I'm not going to die.
25:01Not now that I'm here.
25:06Lear?
25:11This is the job that keeps on giving.
25:20The nice thing about the middle of nowhere
25:26is it's in the middle of nowhere.
25:29Get an Airbnb and go where hotels can't.
25:38A lotto jackpot must be one.
25:41Must be what?
25:42Must be what?
25:42Yes.
25:43The 15 million pound lotto jackpot must be one this Saturday.
25:47Lotto, it could be you.
25:48The Whopper from Burger King.
25:51Now juicier and tastier than ever.
25:54Whopper never tasted so good.
26:00Are you sure that's good fish?
26:04What you're putting on that dish?
26:06It may look good for the picture,
26:08but that taste might need a lift.
26:10Here at Leap, we believe
26:12that the best fish all swing free.
26:14From the deepest, wildest oceans to your house.
26:16Bon appetit!

26:19Don't eat a fish like me.
26:21You take the leap.
26:23Take the leap.
26:25Take the leap.
26:26Take the leap.
26:27Take the leap.
26:53Take the leap.

28:00Hello, welcome back to Austin, Texas and last September there was a special Hall of Fame
28:07Legends dinner and cameras were added into the menu and we can have a look at the conversation
28:13now. Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Schwanz, anybody? Yes, please.
28:25E' una cena incredibile questa. Bellissima. Allora, qui non c'è nessuno. Kevin Spencer.
28:56Ago. Vale. Pedrosa. Io sono qua. Perfetto. E' stata la che mi falta a me. Ce ne meritavi una.
29:06Qual era quella più vicina? 13 o 14? 12 e 13. 12. 12 ha vinto lui?
29:12Ha vinto lui. Lui faceva secondo sempre. Secondo, cioè primo o secondo. Noi toglievo punti.
29:19Questo 12. Poi invece c'era una volta anche 10, che però dopo ti eri fatto male a Moteggi,
29:25che era rimasto il gas, accelerato. Se no anche lì eri buono. Sì.
29:29E poi però secondo me... Dov'è stato quando Marquez ti ha tolto il traccio? 13. 13? Quella doveva
29:36vincere. E lì mi avevo fatto anche prima male con la clavicola al Saxenry. E era caduto
29:41lui a Olanda. Lui era caduto in Olanda, poi ha fatto a corso. Poi ero in testa con tanti punti
29:45e la gara
29:46dopo... Si è caduto te? Sì, sono caduto io. A Saxenry? Nelle prove? Sì. Come hai fatto?
29:50La prima curva. Prima curva che... Così. Bam. E poi dopo sei caduto te? Anche un'altra volta? Anche? Giusto?
29:57Nelle prove? Anche. Poi quello... No, io prima. Quello del... E poi quello era sempre 13, quindi? Sì.
30:03Aragon. Sì. Incredibile. Marquez l'ho vinto con... Lui ha fatto quinto, io sesto. Lui ha fatto 320 e io
30:12ho fatto 300.
30:13Ok. Quello era il più vicino. Anche 2012. 12. E l'altro? Che tu hai fatto? Che tu hai fatto?
30:19Che tu hai fatto? Che tu hai fatto secondo? Primo, secondo. Primo, secondo. È vero che a Misano te ti
30:23ha preso?
30:23Tu hai fatto secondo a Misano. Hai preso Barbera? No. Sì, ma perché mi hanno messo l'ultimo.
30:28Sì, perché la termocoperta è rimasta attaccata. Tu hai fatto secondo, no?
30:31Ho fatto secondo che te ormai cadi, ti ricordi? Ah sì, la prima curva. Alla prima curva che sì, ho
30:35detto.
30:36Lui cade e io non approfitto e cade lo stesso. Mamma mia. Ah, quello era stato un bello. Tu l
30:40'hai visto quando si mette?
30:41Un bello in battaglia. Lo viste, no? Sì. Mucho. Ah, che salio nel replay, no?
30:46Io stava nel box, già . Il replay salio? Io ti ho visto proprio.
30:49Io mi caà la prima volta e tu ti passai la tercera o la quarta.
30:58Carmelo, Xinxing. Salute.
31:00Sì, ragazzi. Salute a tutti.
31:01Xinxing. Salute. Salute.
31:03Salute.
31:03Cheers. Cheers, everyone.
31:05È un piacere di essere qui con their one oggi.
31:07Grazie.
31:07Lo so farà .
31:08Great to see everybody.
31:10I saw racing all of you, except you.
31:13Because you win the championship every year in advance.
31:18And because I was living in Barcelona, you never come to Barcelona.
31:20Yeah, only one time.
31:21Every year you sent Bonera.
31:23A Bonera was racing with your bike.
31:26But you...
31:26No, I raced one time in Mochelic.
31:28But I was not there.
31:28But it's true that you were the first that train seriously.
31:33It's true that you already trained when you ran?
31:37I trained in what sense?
31:38I trained in what sense?
31:38I trained in what sense?
31:40I trained in what sense?
31:40I trained in what sense?
31:42I trained in what about in your time?
31:44Your train?
31:45Riding.
31:46Dirt bikes.
31:46Okay.
31:47Yeah.
31:48Why have you written dirt bikes?
31:49I built a track.
31:50You know what I built?
31:51I built a copy of the Astrodome.
31:53You know the TT circuit?
31:54Yeah, the TT.
31:55And I had a 600 single.
31:56I would make myself do 100 laps straight.
31:59100 laps straight.
32:00So in the oval.
32:01In the oval.
32:01In a row.
32:02Just on the left?
32:03No, it had a right.
32:04It was a TT circuit.
32:05So like TT.
32:06Kind of a smaller version of what you have at the ranch.
32:10Yeah.
32:11Where they would have left and right.
32:12But at the gym?
32:14At the gym?
32:15Training at the gym?
32:16Not so much.
32:17Only just running.
32:17Just running.
32:18How did you say, Valentino?
32:20Ah, I went to the gym.
32:22I went to the gym.
32:22I went to the gym.
32:23Yes.
32:24Yes, but...
32:25But you didn't have the genetics of...
32:27No, no, no, no.
32:28Non è che divento grande.
32:30Ma ci provavi?
32:30No.
32:31Però...
32:31Allora che ho cominciato a allenarmi...
32:33Allenarmi un po' seriamente dal 2001.
32:36Con la Honda 500.
32:38Allenarmi serio dal 2004.
32:41Con la Yamaha.
32:43Prima...
32:43Poco.
32:44Stretching.
32:45Due o tre volte, sì. Stretching sempre.
32:47Stretching.
32:47Sì, ma perché anche te eri alto.
32:49Quindi se facevi tanto muscolo era peggio.
32:51Sì, esatto.
32:52Ho cercato sempre di rimanere leggero.
32:54Perché essendo alto poi si diventa anche grosso.
32:56Avrei bisogno perché con le mani lunghe, no?
32:59Potevi fare più palanca.
33:01Si.
33:01Non è problema di questo.
33:02Zero.
33:03Zero, zero.
33:04Arm pump, never.
33:05Never?
33:06Never.
33:06Che fortuna.
33:07Un po' con la moto da cross delle volte.
33:09Sì, ovvio.
33:10Però...
33:11Però...
33:11Cioè proprio più che arm pump stanco.
33:14Ok.
33:14Cioè non avere più la forza.
33:15Però non è che la mano non va.
33:17No.
33:18Mai.
33:19Quello è un gran vantaggio, eh?
33:20Secondo me è la fortuna della genetica.
33:22Sì, anche fa, eh?
33:24Mi sa che la genetica fa.
33:25Eh, sì.
33:26Secondo me sì.
33:27Cioè uno dipende come è fatto negli avambracci, quanto spazio ha.
33:31Però quello è gran fortuna.
33:32Sì.
33:33Io lì ho offerto...
33:34Moltissimo.
33:35Sì.
33:36Tanto, tanto, tanto.
33:52Se fai tanta...
33:53A me almeno, se facevo tanta palestra...
33:56Sì.
33:56Ti faceva peggio.
33:57Molto peggio.
33:58E bisognava fare palestra perché...
34:00Piccolino.
34:01Sì.
34:01Deve avere la forza.
34:03Ago dice che possiamo cominciare.
34:04Oh, bene.
34:05Se lo dice Ago...
34:06Buon appetito allora.
34:07No, perché sono il più vecchio.
34:08Sì.
34:18Io non ero molto bene all'improvisazione.
34:21Io ero più...
34:22migliorare, migliorare, migliorare.
34:24Sì.
34:24E ero più instinto.
34:26Io ero l'opposizione di te.
34:28Sì.
34:28Io ero sempre migliorare, migliorare, migliorare.
34:30Sì.
34:48Questa cosa poteva fare.
34:49Questa poteva essere così consistenta...
34:52... e arrivare a questo punto...
34:54... e do la stessa cosa.
34:56...
34:58...
35:01...
35:01...
35:02...
35:03...
35:06...
35:06...
35:13...
35:14...
35:14...
35:15...
35:16...
35:16...
35:18...
35:19...
35:22...
35:24...
35:56...
35:56...
35:57...
36:01...
36:02...
36:03...
36:04...
36:05...
36:05...
36:07...
36:08...
36:09...
36:09...
36:09...
36:11...
36:11...
36:12...
36:12...
36:13...
36:14...
36:14...
36:17...
36:19...
36:19...
36:19...
36:20...
36:21...
36:21...
36:22...
36:23...
36:23...
36:24...
36:25...
36:25...
36:26...
36:27...
36:27...
36:27...
36:28...
36:29...
38:00...
38:01...
38:01...
42:37...
42:38...
42:38...
42:38...
42:38...
45:08I didn't get it, but in 2009, I said okay, it's enough.
45:15Yes, in 2009, do you remember when I was first?
45:18Yes.
45:19But I fell.
45:20That was in 2009?
45:21In 2008.
45:22In 2008?
45:23Yes, you fell in a curve.
45:24Yes.
45:24You were in front of us, to me and to him.
45:27You were in front of us.
45:27I said okay, I always lose the championship,
45:29because there is a game where it rains,
45:32I'm like this, I have to go more than what I feel.
45:36And then, okay.
45:38I took the motor motor.
45:40How did you train for the bike?
45:43I didn't know how to do it.
45:44So I took the motor motor, put the bike on the bike,
45:47and when it pioved, I went to the karting.
45:50Okay.
45:50I was going to the karting.
45:52So, Honda 450, motor motor,
45:55with the Mislen of the motor rail.
45:58Yes.
45:58Those that are used in Spain to do the motor motor,
46:01and not fly.
46:02Yes.
46:03Okay.
46:03The first day of the karting,
46:06and I go to the ground,
46:09on the ground.
46:10The first round.
46:11Okay.
46:12I try to heat the brakes,
46:14a little bit more,
46:16and boom!
46:17On the ground.
46:17Okay.
46:17You know that the karting is so clean.
46:20Yes.
46:20Then there is a lot of brake.
46:21There is no grip.
46:23It's impossible to understand.
46:24Then we said okay,
46:26it's impossible.
46:26It's impossible.
46:27What did we do?
46:30When it pioved with Puig?
46:32No.
46:33He was on the normal road.
46:34He called me and said,
46:35okay,
46:35today it pioves all day,
46:37from late.
46:38We go to his house,
46:40we take the motor.
46:41But listen,
46:42always motor?
46:43Yes.
46:43Motor motor.
46:45Motor motor.
46:45Motor motor.
46:45Motor motor.
46:48And the money for gasoline.
46:51Then the road where the road,
46:53And then the road after the roads,
46:55and then into the roads,
46:56and then on the road,
46:57and the roads.
46:57Where did your road?
46:58Where did somebody do the roads now?
46:59Yeah, yes.
47:00Where is it now?
47:01Come in kind of Lehman?
47:04Where is it?
47:04So in south, south, south.
47:05If something that starts to go out,
47:06And then the road after the road.
47:08Somewhere in south,
47:10As we dig pharma.
47:13Mattes on.
47:13And then in south,
47:15in south,
47:15down, in south,
47:16100 times.
47:16Then the gas, like that one day, then when it rained it was another day, and then from there I
47:21started to learn.
47:23So it worked, it worked?
47:24Yes, and then from there, ok.
47:26Then on the water you went.
47:27Once I won, another race to the podium.
47:46I mean, you're still as fit as a fiddle.
47:49Yeah, I'm getting fitter than almost I've ever been, just with the change of diet.
47:55What do you do?
47:57Eating a lot more of this.
47:59And the protein?
48:00Yeah, it's a lot more natural fats and all this kind of stuff, and then the weight just stripped off
48:06me and fitter, stronger.
48:09You've never been, I mean you've always been quite slim, but.
48:12Yeah, but.
48:15I was also very fit, but considering I didn't train for the last six, seven years, and then I can
48:21arrive like this, from doing nothing.
48:26Do you want to do it when you try it again?
48:28Never.
48:29No?
48:31You know, a lot of people ask me if I want to try the MotoGP, but if you don't run,
48:37you don't have to do anything.
48:40No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
48:43I want to try it.
48:43Well, no, no, no.
48:44All right.
48:45But I'm going with the R1, sometimes I'm going with the R6.
48:50I'm going with the little bike, like the oval bike.
48:52I'm going with the guys, with you, with my brother Bezzecchi, Franco.
48:57Do you give me advice to them?
49:00Yes.
49:00But it's more for the mental and technical.
49:04Yes.
49:05I'm going to see them on the track and I'm going to look at what they do, better or worse
49:09than the others, and then also how to manage the weekend, how to try to fight the battle, a little
49:15bit of those things.
49:16What is, according to you, the most brave of all of them?
49:20Vagnateco?
49:21Or...
49:21All right, at the moment, the most important thing is Bezzecchi.
49:23Bezzecchi?
49:24Bezzecchi.
49:24A me is surprised.
49:25With Aprilio.
49:26Yes.
49:26I didn't think that he, after descending from the Ducati, let's say, because if you come from the Honda, you
49:35can do a step, but a step behind it is more difficult.
49:40But it's in a good shape.
49:43And then...
49:44Also on the run.
49:45It's what's more of the run.
49:46Yes?
49:47Also on the run, it's strong.
49:49It's very, very concentrated.
49:53It wants to win.
49:55And now.
49:56Otherwise, by the end of the year, Bezzecchi had a lot of fame, right?
50:00Yes.
50:02And, according to me, he did a good job.
50:06But you know, Aprilio is a little less than the Ducati.
50:09Yes, yes, yes.
50:09So, you know, to beat Marquez with the motorcycle, which is also a little less possible.
50:14But he did good races.
50:16He was good.
50:17But you know what?
50:18He's also sensitive to give indications.
50:21Okay.
50:22Because he has a very aggressive guide, no?
50:24He's like...
50:25But he understands what the motorcycle does.
50:29And this, for Aprilio, was also very important.
50:33Pecco...
50:34Pecco...
50:51Pecco...
50:52It's a lot of time.
50:52Two.
50:53Two, three.
50:53Two.
50:55Two.
50:57Two.
50:58Two.
50:59Two.
51:01Sometimes he does it, especially during the test, but you know...
51:05It depends on how the needle is, right?
51:07I think, you know, when Márquez arrives and he goes so strong,
51:14I think psychologically it's not easy.
51:17It's a bit like me, you need everything to be perfect.
51:19It's very precise, yes.
51:22He has a very clean guide.
51:23He says Márquez, when something doesn't hurt him, he suffers.
51:28You know what the problem is?
51:29That Pecco gives you the gomma.
51:31In the end.
51:33Pecco, in the last few years, he goes faster.
51:35He goes faster.
51:36In the last few years, he was really good.
51:40But Valentino, it's a question of the test, right?
51:42The last few years Pecco arrived at the end of the race,
51:45he had always more gomma,
51:47and even in the last few years he went faster.
51:51Yes, but there are also others who go strong.
51:53You know, the Morbidelli of Gian Antonio,
51:58Alex Márquez.
51:59So, I don't know.
52:00And Aldeguer.
52:01Aldeguer, eh?
52:02Aldeguer, eh?
52:03Aldeguer, eh?
52:03I think he was going to go faster before.
52:07I think it's a question of the test.
52:08He has demolished a little bit.
52:10The Morales...
52:11That's exactly what's most important.
52:12The test is the thing that's all.
52:13Well, and some other careers have also gone up.
52:16And he was strong.
52:19I was scared in the staccato.
52:22Aldeguer, in the staccato,
52:23in the last few years,
52:25he played 13 minutes.
52:26He did a pass to Costa.
52:28Yes, yes.
52:28It was beautiful.
52:30At the end of the camp is a bit better, right?
52:31A bit better, a bit better.
52:32What do they say?
52:33It's a bit better,
52:34and also a bit better for everyone,
52:36not only for a pilot.
52:38At least everyone has done it.
52:39Even Bastienini now is out.
52:46A bit better!
